As many of you know buying a car from a dealership can be a dreaded and sometimes excruciating experience, but not at Chuck Colvin Auto Center, in McMinnville Oregon. I don’t write internet recommendations often but I have to say that we experienced something completely different last week when we bought a used Town and Country minivan from Jesse Freiley at Chuck Colvin Auto Center. There was no pressure at any point in the process. No “what’s it going to take to earn your business”, no running back and forth between the sales person and the hidden manager, no protracted negotiation with a salesperson who refuses to give you back the keys to your own car, and no effort to make you feel inferior, or stupid, or obligated. Just a truthful and factual exchange of information, and in the end, a fair deal for us and them. The entire transaction, from start to finish was professional, respectful, and fair and when we got to the dreaded signing (paperwork) side of the transaction we were in for a few wonderful and pleasant surprises. Greg Wroblewski, was also professional, and patient. He explained every step, every document, the pros and cons of some of the decisions that still needed to be made and he let us make up our own minds about it all. Then to our surprise and amazement, Greg called us the following day (after we had signed all the paperwork and the deal was done)! He said an additional lender had submitted their bid for our contract and it had a lower interest rate. It would save us several hundred dollars on the maintenance package and interest. He said if we were willing, he would recreate all the documents and we could resign at the lower payment amount. All told, over the life of the loan, this one act of kindness will save us over $660. It only took about 10 minutes of our time because he had all the paperwork done and ready to sign. It was more work for Greg and it would have been so easy to just blow off the lower bid; we would never even have known he had received a better offer. However, when you work at the oldest Ford dealership in Oregon, a dealership with over 100 years of continuous service in a small community like McMinnville, you go the extra mile for your customers. So I’m going outside of my comfort zone by submitting an internet recommendation. If you are in the market for a new (or new to you) car you owe it to yourself to check out the inventory at Chuck Colvin Auto Center ask for Jesse Freiley and if you buy a car from them say hi to our new friend, Greg Wroblewski. Buying a car doesn’t have to be a painful degrading experience if you’re willing to drive to McMinnville and check out Chuck Colvin Auto Center.

My first visit with my Expedition was awesome. Everything was done that I had asked and they replaced some bad bulbs even. Jack called me 3 times that day with updates and notifying us when the car was ready. When I went in a week later with my Nissan everything was a mess. The 2 things I needed done did not get done. I also had to call in at almost closing to see if my car was ready. Leo called me a few days later to get my car back in and fix the 2 issues I had. I dropped it off on a Friday and was called throughout the day with updates. My brakes got done but the windshield sprayer was being problematic so I let them keep my car over the weekend. On Monday I got no calls regarding my car. I finally called at 5 and got Jerri who had no idea what was going on. She had to track down my car and call someone else and call us back. When we spoke again she couldnt even say if the car had been worked on or if it was put back together for us to pick it up. She offered to leave the keys in the car for us to pick up after closing. We made it there before closing and she was out wandering the parking lot while Jack was helping 3 other people. He also didnt know what was going. We still dont know if we were paying for the brake job we got or not. Jerri did go back inside as soon as we were leaving. I get that my car required more work and needed more time. But I needed it to drive to work. I expected updates so I couldve planned to be out of a vehicle for another day. Instead they let my car sit because it needed the dash pulled in order to track down a faulty wire. Also when I got my car home on Monday there was a wire hanging out from under my hood. It wasnt connected to anything but Id like to know where it came from. I called that night and left a message requesting a call back from the manager and have yet to hear from them.

In 2011 my wife and I bought a used 2007 F150 from Chuck Colvin. The truck was absolutely beautiful! Exactly what I wanted, but out of our price range! We were invited in to share our numbers we wanted as far as monthly bill, loan percentage and overall cost of the truck. Jason, our sales rep at the time bent over backwards for us and was able to pull off exactly what we wanted, nearly hitting every request, even our montly bill within $4!! This last year my wife and I were blessed with kids no. 2 and 3—TWIN GIRLS! Our family of 3 jumped to a family of 5! It was time to trade the truck in for a family SUV. Because of the great experience we had five years ago, we decided to let Chuck Colvin know we were going to be in the market for a family rig and that we really liked the Expeditions. We wanted a used one because we couldnt afford new. Just a week later I got a call from Kevin, our sales rep. They just got in a used Expedition that day, exactly what we were looking for. After a couple test drives we told them we wanted it and supported what we needed to make the sale happen. They gave me what I wanted for my trade and sold me the expedition under KBB pricing! It was another amazing experience! Kevin even drove the Expedition to our house twice because we couldnt get away due to the new babies. I believe in buying local and supporting my local dealership and they showed to me they believe in great customer service and the willingness to work with you and your needs. I may be sad to have gotten rid of my beloved truck (though this expedition is quite awesome), but it is pretty safe to say when ready, I will be buying my next truck from Chuck Colvin!

I have been searching for a Ford Expedition EL for the last couple of months and finally found one that just arrived at Chuck Colvin and met my requirements, but the dealership was 3.5 hours from my home. Not knowing when I could make it to McMinnville to get the vehicle and worrying if it would still be available, I asked if they delivered and if I could do the paperwork at my local Ford. Demian said they could deliver it to my doorstep! A couple of days after I contacted Chuck Colvin, my new expedition arrived in my driveway and 20 minutes later paperwork was done and it was mine! I very much appreciate Demian delivering the vehicle to me and giving me a good deal, it was the by far the best and easiest vehicle purchasing process I have been through. I know the next time we are in need of a Ford for business or personal, we will be contacting Chuck Colvin. I highly recommend Chuck Colvin Ford for your next Ford purchase!
