These people are beyond amazing the kindness and the care they have for animals is truly amazing I live in Molalla and I would drive all the way here just to get my dog food they went out of their way to give me a bunch of free food and oil to help my dog with his hotspot and educate me on food and then told me not to feel obligated to buy anything from them I could have it delivered to my house from Amazon. They truly are there for the animals which is what makes them worth the drive and worth shopping from. On a previous visit I also purchased an amazing harness for my German Shepherd on the previous visit that has held up well and is super comfortable for him their selection is amazing by far the best pet store I have ever been in and the best service I have ever received anywhere. They have an extremely well educated staff members some that have a degree in animal science.

They have descent prices when it comes to chuck-it supplies...but other than that, the service is only for those who look like they will spend lots o cash. Ive been in that store three times now and nobody has helped me. Yet, while Im browsing the overpriced treats etc, other customers are immediately pampered. I asked one of the employees if they had a product, and she said "no"...end of story...well, thanks, maybe any suggestions? I dont know like a normal retailer??? Also went there to get shampoo and everything was ~20 dollars. No variety. I keep giving it another chance because its so close to my house...but, I guess Im not the right clientele, which is weird b/c I have a dog that needs to be supplied...and I live in Sellwood... :(

I have a Boston Terrier that is allergic to everthing. They have the best selection of food for him. The staff is very helpful in helping me find food for him. They even gave me samples first. I think it was the owner but she helped for about 30 min going through their selection and looking at all of the ingredients. The best help I have ever got at a pet store. Also a great selection of high end food for any diet. If you want the best for your animals you can find it here!!

This store is my little pooches heaven and mine also. I live in sw pdx, but travel there because its that amazing. The staff isnt pushy, they have a fabulous selection. In organic and raw foods, not to mention all the accessories that toy will ever need. Forget the big chain stores for your dog..just go in and browse, thats what I did and now hooked...sellwood dog supply please keep your prices savy so we can keep shopping here! :-)

My favorite pet supply store in Portland. Yes, things are not cheap, but you get what you pay for - and in this case, you pay for quality! Your pets deserve it. The staff is super friendly and resourceful, and helped me a lot when I was struggling to select which cat food was the best for my aging lady with urinary sensitivity. I live in NE now, and I still drive 40 minutes out of my way to go here. Five stars!

Wonderful store for anything cat or dog - great variety and unique items I havent seen elsewhere. Also, very helpful and knowledgeable staff - always willing to help and can special order. We love this place and so do our dogs who go with us regularly. One of our cats has been there to get fitted for a harness and, yes, he agrees - the store is marvelous!!! This place is really something special! All of their products feel top notch, and the personnel really care about quality of animal care and have great advice to offer. Theyre happy to exchange pet anecdotes or just help you find what youre looking for. They may not have the variety that Petco & Petsmart have, but the quality, aesthetics, and price of what they do have to offer is unbeatable.

Ive been in the store twice and theyve never been engaging or helpful. Not quite rude, but close it. Maybe because Im not a millennial ...my son describes them as "Portland Hipsters". This past weekend they had a sale, looked, but nothing that I needed. I asked if there was anything else, but no, "thats it". They had just offered the prior person sample treats. Oh well.

Love this store! Theyve got all your fuzzies needs covered, including cats. All manner of toys, treats, supplies, food, gifts for owners, and beds/household pet fixtures. If they dont have a particular food you are looking for, they are happy to order it for you. So friendly, so worth a teensy bit of price increase from say, Fred Meyer, for your pet supply needs.

We had been searching for a "Walkydog"(leash made to attatch to a bike) or something like it for the last week. I checked pet stores and bike stores alike and found that none of them could even get it for me. Not only does Sellwood Dog Supply carry it, but he let us come in and purchase it as he was closing. I love this place for dog and cat supplies from food to toys to the Saturday $5 nail clipping. They have an excellent selection of good quality products at reasonable prices. The staff are ready to help make a choice or just talk pets. They actively support pet adoption. They usually have a cat or two up for adoption. Great place!

Dont be fooled, cat lovers, there is a whole room for the kitties here! We own two cats and made a beeline for that room. Sellwood Dog Supply was a fun store that had a lot to offer for pet owners. Swing by and check out what they have! It was a pretty incredible shop.

We love this place. Its local, the food options are good, and they have a great range of cat trees for sale. Some are pretty expensive, but locally handmade. Others are much more sturdy than the kind of thing youd find at Petco or Petsmart, and cheaper to boot!

The best service and products Ive ever experienced at a pet supply store. Locally owned and operated by this sweet young couple named James and Amy. Every time I go in they have another local craftsmans work and offer my dog a treat! Favorite store in town!!!

I have a pet rabbit and this place is a great place to buy rabbit food. They also carry food for other small animals. This is the most affordable place in town to buy rabbit hay in bulk. If you have rabbits, you should check this place out.

Hands down, WORST retail experience Ive EVER had. Worst customer service Ive ever seen, not only from their sales staff but their manager too!! Dont ever try to return something theyll make you feel guilty and wont work with you at all.

Sellwood Pet Supply has quickly become my familys pet store of choice. They have a great selection, and excellent customer service. They are a tremendous asset, especially when youve got a dog that seems to be allergic to everything.
