Im not going to write a scathing review of this office max. I am simply going to point out some observations Ive had in this store. Firstly, the staff is incompetent. A few times Ive run in to get something for the office and the only person running the register has been caught up in something else, like helping a customer with a fed-ex shipment. They need more people working the front, always. Whenever Ive had a question about a product the sales person will undoubtedly 1) not know anything about the product and 2) use his radio to ask someone else for help. Which brings me to the radios. Yes, I get they are important for communications, but these guys use then even if the person theyre talking to in 20 feet away. Its ridiculous and just adds fuel to the "these guys are incompetent" fire. The few times Ive used the print service center has been a total joke. The first time I sat there for 30 minutes while the printer figured out to send my PDF to print. The second time I used the on-line service, I figured I would stand around at the office rather than stand around in the store. After about 45 minutes I went over to see if it was done. Once again the only person working the print area was tied up with a customer and the only person working the front was tied up with a large line of customers. I left and had my stuff printed elsewhere. A week later I got a call saying my job was ready. I told him it was to late. He asked if I was sure. After a long pause I told him, Yes, I was sure. When I run in to a store to pick something up quickly I have an expectation of ease of transaction. Once, I grabbed the things I needed and went to the register. Then started this long line of questions about "signing up for a rewards card" or "taking a survey", or asking if I "want paper". No, no, no. I really just want to PAY for this stuff and LEAVE. The customer service QUALITY is terrible. Sure, theyre friendly, but none the less wasting your time. I will end it on a good note. You can take your dog into the store. Thats cool. Theyll even give them a milk bone at the register. I take my dog often because the amount of time it takes to give my dog a bone and say hello is less time then it takes to answer questions about rewards cards, surveys, and if I want paper. Which they often forget to ask because my dog is flipping adorable. Bottom line. Go here if you MUST. Go elsewhere if you CAN.

If you get business cards made here make sure to double and triple check the proof. Keep a copy of the approved proof for your records until you receive your cards. I reviewed my proof before they printed the cards but for some reason when the cards came out there were these pale boxes on the cards that were not visible on the proof. Also I realized when I got the cards that one of the words was spelled wrong. I had given them my old card to copy exactly so how that happened I am not really sure. (no spell check?) They were a bit hesitant to reprint the cards since they said I approved the proof. Fortunately I had a copy of the proof which shows there were no strange lines of boxes. They are remedying the situation by ordering new cards which should arrive expressly which I am grateful for. However, I still feel like I wont use them again since this whole process has required several phone calls and a lot of my time.

The inside of the store is nice, the people working there are nice. Im giving 2 stars because its gross going in there. Whoever is responsible for the maintenance of this property is doing a horrible job. This location is also right at a bus stop so theres always going to be a certain amount of trash, unfortunately (people suck), but it looked like someone had thrown up along the side of the building which made me want to throw up. The windows of this store all have a no smoking within 10 feet sign, which clearly does no good as there were cigarette butts all along the sidewalk and a guy standing there smoking as we walked in. Good store, just a horrible location. I guess.

Understaffed almost every single time I go there. Holiday time is difficult everywhere, but at this store it seems they are utterly unprepared. Ink refills take an hour. If you wait in the wrong line theyll let you stand there like an idiot before they offer assistance. And god forbid you make eye contact with one of the people behind the counter, just blank stares, there is no acknowlegment what-so-ever! Merry Christmas to you all, you get two extra stars from me!

OfficeMax is my life saver. For some reason unbeknownst to me, the FedEx kinkos down the street doesnt open until noon on Sundays. And if it werent for OfficeMax, I would have shown up to an interview without a copy of my resume. So thank you, OfficeMax, for not only printing me a copy of my resume, but for offering me "fancy paper" for no extra charge. Im coming to you first next time.

Convenient location right in front of a Streetcar stop. I always look on their website before coming into the store to check stock if Im purchasing a bigger item like a printer or shredder. Also, Ive had look finding printable coupons online for officemax and using them at this store. Staff has always been courteous and check out has been fast.

"You want printer paper with that?" Somehow, this became a thing. Officemax now tries to get you add on a ream of printer paper to your purchase (doesnt matter what youre purchasing) like its a side of fries... like print is dead or something... like you must print out a LOT of Fandango tickets dude.

Excellent print services team. Like anything else, one has to be organized and not try to do a rush job in the middle of their own rush periods. People are friendly, helpful, and the value for the service is excellent. I count on these professionals and have never been let down over many jobs.

Katrina and Larry in the print ceneter are outstanding! I have had several large print jobs done by them in the past year. They are friendly, efficient, and very professional. Dont waste your time going any where else!

These people are hard working and fast when printing my artwork. I love them. You can conveniently order online and give specs on what you want. They are prompt, professional, and awesome!

This Office Max is usually so quiet that you can hear a pin drop. We went in to print files from a USB when our printer was on the fritz. The copy center employees were really helpful.

Great print department, patient employees and lots of available customer service. Selection of goods is solid and they match online prices in store. Good establishment.

In the heart of the Pearl District, its conveniently located, but is smaller than the locations outside the city center, and offers few goods.
