What a sweet bonus, moving to a new neighborhood where the closest grocery store is perhaps the best youve ever been to? While New Seasons may not want to describe themselves this way, I like to think of them as this perfect blend between Whole Foods & Safeway - theyve obviously got our health and wellness in mind, as they offer wonderful organic, local, non-GMO foods.... but there are plenty of the "other" items for those of us who want them. The prices are reasonable - depending on the item, theyre within some change of most other grocers (except Zupans, where I feel theyre overpriced). The employees are always friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain ingredients and products to the best of their ability. And what a diverse group of employees they are. Speaking of, New Seasons takes care of the people who work there - offering them wonderful health benefits and even giving a share of the profits to the ones who have stuck with them over a year. Honestly, that alone is the top reason I choose to shop there. More and more, we see companies treating their employees like wheels in a machine... and its refreshing for a company to be a game changer! They also have a great little "non-grocery" section with books, candles, cookware, cards, etc. I will continue to buy everything I can there.

we shop here every couple of weeks or so and i love it. the prices can be steep, but when somethings on sale, its generally a very competitive price. the cost of the organic produce is also comparable, if not a better price then whats at fred meyer and is far superior to what they have. the pharmacies at all of the new seasons locations closed last year because the big guys (walgreens, rite aide, fred meyer) dominated on a local level. this was crushing to us. we loved our pharmacists at new seasons and we were on a first name basis with them. the quality of products they provide and the staff are what keep us going back. one of the lead cashiers has become a sweet friend. i would shop new seasons over fred meyer, winco, safeway, etc... any day of the week.

This is one of New Seasons smaller stores. They have a very large selection of different types of food representing different countries. Neighbors can get a hot meal or sandwiches or other hot side dishes. There is a dining area that is very pleasant and I believe theres some outside seating. They have a broad selection at meat counter. that has probably the best organic meats and humanely produced pork, beef, chicken and fish available. Its clean, friendly, and has good customer service. This store, unlike most others has electric shopping carts which is very much appreciated. They bake a wide variety of rolls bread, cookies and other sweets.

This location makes me want to shout from the roof tops about my new Seasons in Concordia. I really love New Seasons. I just really think this location is far below the standard of all the other New Seasons stores. I just dont like anything about this location: the parking lot is a nightmare, the stores layout is inefficient, the staff is ok but SLOW, & I find the store is regularly out of products. It is impossible to get in & out of this place quickly. This location drives me crazy!

Theyre always out of one thing and then i have to wait 20-40 minutes for it to be cooked and new stuff put in. Why cant they keep better tabs on whats running low 20 minutes beforehand so its ready once its out? Also they say the hot bars open til 9, but then they tend to run out around 7-8 of some things and not refill it. False advertising. New seasons, i love you, but i dont have time to wait around and im going to cook dinners at home instead of going to you for dinner. :(

The Arbor Lodge store must be the most vegan-friendly one of all the New Seasons. They have a great selection of products, wonderful produce, and awesome staff. Their Wellness department even started stocking a vegan version of a supplement Id been having a hard time finding, figuring other vegans might want the option to buy it too. We especially love their "Hot Wok" bar in the deli section, it is a great fast dinner option while still being reasonably healthy too.

Unless you are new to Portland, you are probably familiar with the New Seasons drill: "the friendliest store in town" with a focus on organic and locally-sourced food. This is my local New Seasons, so I am a regular. In particular, the staff here has always been extra friendly and helpful with me and my family -- being patient with my kids as they attempt to order their own food at the sandwich bar, remembering to give carrot tops to us for our rabbits, and so on.

Meat dept. really needs to step up. A lot of times their meat was not good quality... Last week I got chicken wings and they were like grandma hen wings. You can tell visually even before they were cooked. Ive gotten $16/lb of ribeye from them and it tasted like itd been in the fridge for a little too long...If you cook you know what I mean. Sure I can ask for a refund but still...I am shopping meat somewhere else now.

I like that New Seasons offers high quality ingredients, but I cant ever seem to find what I want here. Theres always a line for the wok and the deli, and everytime I go here, its in conjunction with a stop at Fred Meyer down the street. That said, what keeps me coming back is the meat/butcher department. They have a great selection of some of the harder to find meats, and theyre always freshly wrapped, and not frozen.

As far as healthy food chains go, New Seasons is top notch. The selection is fantastic. The staff are friendly and beyond helpful. But if you are on a fixed income or just dont have alot of money you might want to avoid the place because they are definitely expensive. And once you start going it will be difficult to stop. But if you are able to fit it in your budget, then by all means give them a try.

I come here for lunch regularly, their sandwich shop is amazing. Also the specialty coffees are superior to starbucks in my opinion. If you ever see them serving Dungeoness Crab Chowder go ahead and get it, dont ask questions, and youre welcome. The prices are definitely a fair bit higher than most supermarkets, but everything is of very high quality, you get what youre paying for.

Hot food bar puts meat on the shelf above the little vegan food they offer and staff demonstrated little care in keeping the two separate. While waiting in line I watched a serving spoon for an otherwise vegan quinoa dish used for chicken, then put back. They have frozen microwavable vegan food as grocery and offer a microwave to warm it up, but their plates are not microwavable.

They 10 Get stars from me. Above the Best Market that I have been all my life. The Deli is top notch as far as I am Corncern. Everything is Fresh and not frozen. You can really taste the Difference. The store is clean all the time. And the Employees are caring towards the Customers and they rush you. And if they get your order wrong they do it over for you .....
