You just cant find service and honesty this great anywhere else! The last time I purchased a TV was four years ago from Best Buy. After a nightmare of a time trying to get them to honor a price match with all kinds of red tape, I vowed to never buy from a bog box store again. Fast forward four years: I went straight to HVL this time. I consider myself an educated customer, and came armed with consumer reports ratings, etc. What really got my attention was the honesty. I was debating a TV that was 800 dollars more. Jason showed me why it wasnt worth it for me. When was the last time a sales person said you didnt need to spend more money? I decided to get a Sony TV with a blu ray player. A week later, I decided I needed a new home theater system. They suggested I bring back my blu ray player, trade it in and get an all in one unit. I was shocked. Any other big box place and you would be paying restocking fees and a lot of attitude. They were focused on making me a customer for life, not just once! It may not seem like much on the outside, but the best part is this is a family run business. I honestly dont mind paying slightly more for service like this. Anyone who has a shred of intelligence should support businesses like this who actually care about developing a life long relationship with their clients. I will continue to tell every person I know to buy from them!

I bought my 60 inch square TV from them in 2000, and although the guy WARNED me that it would probably be too large for my room, I didnt listen. I actually did call back three days later and offered to pay a fee to get the 55 inch. They took care of me then, so i figured they would take good care of me this time, and they did. The first thing I saw when I walked in was the guy that I bought from 10 years ago, who is one of the owners I think, any he actually seemed to recognize me. He was on the phone though, so immediately I was approached by someone else (Sean Donahue) who told me absolutely everything I needed to know. He answered my few technical questions without getting too nerdy, and came up with a deal for delivery, installation, and no interest financing for 36 months, and wasnt at all pushy by trying to close me on the spot. I didnt buy at the moment, but came back almost a month later - December 23rd - and they made me a great deal and then scheduled delivery for 11AM Christmas Eve. I didnt expect or even ask for next day delivery, but they offered it. By about 1pm on Xmas eve, the two helpful guys were in and out, and they hooked up our sound system, and not one, but TWO gaming systems. Awesome prices and service - cant say enough good things...

I have purchased approximately 12 televisions from HVL for business and home and have always received excellent customer service and pricing. They not only give you the excellent care in the store but also in the field when delivering the products purchased. Recently I had to deal with the service end of the store, first time in eight years out of all the televisions I purchased and even then they went several steps above any other store. If you dont at least stop by and check them out and see what I am talking about, you are truly missing out. Put your feet up, experience their home theater set up, have a cup of coffee and possibly a cookie! You wont be disappointed. Dee L. Wilson / Boring

Recently moved to Portland and needed a TV for my condo. I happened by Home Video Library and went in to browse. Staff was very low-key/no pressure but when I asked they were very knowledgeable. After good questions from them about what my needs were they steered my in the direction of one of the new LG OLED panels and a Sonos sound bar. Later I researched and both products were highly rated and the price i got was way competitive. Watching new 4K Netflix series on my system is incredible. VERY happy with my purchase and my experience here. Plus i got the satisfaction of supporting a family-owned local business. Would highly recommend.

This place has AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! I went a few months back looking to get a new tv. I explained to Dennis Chamberlain, that my old tv needed to be fixed and was in the market for a new tv. I told Dennis I was looking for a 70 inch tv, he walked through all the tvs with me. Then he even told me that I should see how much it cost to fix my 51 inch tv. Dennis was great and VERY HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!! No pressure to buy on the spot. Overall just great customer service. I wound up fixing my old tv for only $150. When I get my new tv I know where I will buy Home Video Library!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been buying pretty much all my electronics from these guys for more than 20 years. Everything from TVs to Cameras and everything in between. What sets them apart is customer service plus. I have picked their brains endless times whether im ready to purchase or not and am always treated like I just made the purchase of a life time. Always very in the know on the latest tech, whats in whats not they know their stuff. That being said the always pretty much beat anybodys price and they are the local little guy. Highly recommended. My dad bought his first A/V receiver from HVLE in the early 1990s. Its still working today. Since then our family has purchased multiple TVs and an amazing NHT home theater system Home Video Library Electronics. The sales team does a great job of troubleshooting and the product demos are excellent. Its so rare to have a company maintain their staff like the way HVLE has. I dont bother to shop for electronics anywhere else.

Wonderful customer service. Ive been a customer for many years and trust the friendly honest service. I would not waste my time running around town trying to get the best deal because I know that once I walk through the door Im getting the best deal in town. I have bought several things from Home Video Library, (TV speakers, Surround amplifier, DVD and Blue-Ray player, cords, wires ect.) and I have found them fair and honest and the pricing is like others in the neighborhood so I decide to give my $$ on the smaller family owned companies if I can, as long as the price is close and I already know the service is better … :)

Called for a quick question about getting a TV repaired. The nice gal that answered told me they dont do repairs. Then she recommended a shop, and started talking about what i had and the problem i was having. Id go back even though i didnt do business with them!
