Went to a Famous Footwear today to buy some Vans. The manager walked right up to me and said I need to take your messenger bag. I said "I cant, my wallet, iPhone, iPad is in it. She continued to be persistent while women were walking in with their huge potato sack purses. I said "Why arent you asking these ladies to put their purses behind the counter?", She said "Because yours is a messenger bag not a purse." I said "I wont sorry, this is my purse, its 2016 and guys have bags to put all their tech stuff in". She said "Fine, but I will be watching you". So I tried on the shoes, then put them back. I was so put off by the situation. I proceeded to talk to her at the counter and told her I was being racially pointed at because I am a man, and you just lost a $60 sale (i spoke softly to her btw). I asked her for her first name as her badge was flipped over. She said "Leave now". So I wrote a 1 star review on Yelp! and called her division manager. IF YOU EVER NEED A PAIR OF RUNNING OR WALKING SHOES BOYCOTT FAMOUS FOOTWEAR! OR DO WHAT MY FRIEND JOSH DOES - GO TO "DSW"! the store was at NW 12th Street in Gresham.

Visiting from Minnesota. We were going hiking in the morning and both the kids needed shoes. We went to famous footwear for a good quality pair of shoes for them. The store was at closing time but the doors were still unlocked, we rushed in to get shoes quick son went one way and daughter and wife went the other. On guy was super nice and ready to help the other stood just about in our way and absolutely did nothing to help. We tried to exit the store but the door was locked. The nice guy ran over to unlock door for us. I commented that the crabby guy needs to get a life. Fire code violation to lock customer in store!!! Went to Target and bought shoes. Two sales of shoes lost for your store. If you are closed and not willing to help. Stop the customer at the door and tell them.

Heidi was absolutely amazing, patient and helpful when we were at the store on 4.18.2015. My daughter and I spent over an hour trying on various different shoes and Heidi was more than happy to assist us with whatever we needed. Thank you Heidi :)
