Went in because over the last 2 years i constantly get a blister on my left foot. A nice gentleman came to help me and answered my questions. He didnt try to sell me any shoes. He thought it might be the socks I wear, but wanted to see how I walked so after that evaluation and because I didnt know the type of tennis shoes I had at home we decided Id bring in the shoes the next day. In the meantime I said I wanted to buy a pair of socks for my workout in the morning and maybe that would help and he said, "No I will just give them to you" I said, "No, I can pay for them" he said he wanted me to know if they worked or not, so I walked out of the store with an $11 pair of socks and I will be back tomorrow with my old tennis shoes for his help. My husband and I are small business owners and know how important that is to our customers. Thank you Danny for having such awesome customer service!

I walk as much as possible, and because Im heavy, I need shoes with good support and cushion. I bought some shoes from a different sporting goods store in town about 7 or 8 years ago, and they were awful. I felt really pressured to purchase a pair that really didnt feel right. Shortly after that I found Five Star Sports, and they took the time to work with me and pick the perfect pair of shoes. I worried that they might have a snobbish attitude towards just an overweight walker, but I couldnt have been more wrong. Ive since bought three or four more pairs from them over the years and am heading down for yet another one this weekend. Like some of the other commenters, I checked prices online and would only have saved a couple of dollars. Thats nothing compared to the value of their time, knowledge and advice.

I was referred to shop here by a co-worker who is a long time runner. I have recently started running and was not able to find a decent pair of shoes or knowledgeable staff until I came here. They fit me into shoes that worked for me, allowed me to run around outside with them on, and were able to answer questions that I had. As I explained earlier, I am new to running, so the idea of spending $90 on a pair of shoes was hard for me. I looked online for the same shoes, and buying from them was not any more expensive than buying anywhere else. I have recommended the store to friends, and plan on continuing to do so in the future.

I am a long distance walker. Danny, the store owner, took the time to make sure I had exactly the right pair of shoes to fit my feet and my needs. He even sent me out to walk in the shoes before I made a decision--not a little stroll around the block, either, but a real walk at my usual pace--just to make sure I had the right ones. He took the time to really listen and clearly cared. I was deeply impressed with the service and the shoes I got and will be back again to buy my next pair. (And as an aside, if he doesnt carry a certain shoe and says they arent worth your money, believe him; he knows what hes talking about!)

Dont know where people get the idea that the staff here is rude. Hands down the best customer service I had in any shoe store. Knowledgeable, patient and very understanding, the staff here took their time to allow me try on different shoes. They gave me an evaluation based on my running, and gave me several great recommendations. While I did not make the purchase right away, I will definitely be going back when I need a pair of running shoes next time. Best shoe store in the area!

5 Star Sports definitely lives up to its name. I went there a week ago to buy shoes. I have a lot of problems with 1 of my feet and they listened very patiently to my explanation. In no time, I was fitted with the best fitting pair of shoes Ive ever worn! Ill buy all my shoes from them! Absolutely 5 stars!

The second time Ive been in here and the worker there has always been rude. I asked what the top model of shoe was for road running and he told me the shoe that fits then went on his business. Wont buy from here unfortunately...

Best customer service! I was having a hard time finding a new running shoe. They watched me walk/jog and had me try on a variety of different shoes until I found the best fit. Definitely will return! Oh and love my new shoes!
