9-12-2017 approx 40 min before closing: FIRST AND LAST TIME I EVER WALK IN THE EUGENE OREGON DSW STORE (Coburg Rd)!! As soon as I walked in (only customer in the store), the two old ladies at the counter were talking to each, looked directly at me and put their heads down and kept talking. The two employees (a little younger than the old women) that were stocking shoes in the mens section also ignored me. The old guy, must have been their boss (behind the counter doing the accounting looking around the store, looking over his reading glasses) followed me outside to see what I was driving as he played it off and went to his silver $100,000.00 BMW or Mercedes pretending not to look at me. Im telling everyone to stay away from DSW!!! And to go to Payless Shoe Source or Ross Dress For Less, etc for the same quality of shoes and WAY BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

The woman behind the counter was not helpful at all. I went in looking for a particular brand and asked for it, and all I got was "Never heard of them." When I asked for another brand I had heard was similar, she said something like "Yeah, Ive seen those here before, I think they might be over here." Then I asked if there was any way to get sized there, and she said they didnt have "one of those little things," which I assume meant they didnt have a device for measuring. When I had browsed a little, I asked a woman working there if they had any oxfords, and she asked if I meant athletic shoes and motioned to a row of sneaker type shoes. My experience here was exasperating.

Dsw online has a much better selection for men, women are good if they come here, vast selection for them. Guys, shop elsewhere, limited larger sizes and styles, I do have issue anyway with finding 13s so maybe finding the right size isnt as big a problem for smaller feet.

Selection was pretty good for mens shoes. The young lady that helped me though was great. The shoe I liked, and fit, rubbed a little wrong on the top of my foot and she offered a couple solutions. She also brought up a couple other shoe stores to look at for ideas.

For such a big store, theres a relatively small selection of shoes and its kind of depressing to walk around in there. Lots of grays and beiges and sleepy people
