To the people below who gave 5-stars to this nightmare--- just because people have to choice to go elsewhere doesnt mean that theyre in the wrong for complaining about how truly awful this pharmacy is. It is incredibly nerve-wracking when youre ill and your medication is at the mercy of someone who literally just doesnt care, since people have little choice to go elsewhere. Each time I went to this pharmacy, I was "assisted" by a large woman with glasses. Once I waited a full 45 minutes while she sat there, eating something and looking at her phone, before acknowledging I was even there. On every occasion I used this pharmacy, she made derogatory/judgemental/accusatory comments about my medications (both controlled & non-controlled). She commented on my antidepressants in a rude way, refused to sell me syringes needed for use with an injectable medication (forcing me to be unable to use my medication until mail-ordered products arrived, which were expensive). Pharmacists dont have to be all sunshine and rainbows, but they need to be a person you feel safe with since health & meds are a very personal matter. This place was also inefficient--- scripts called in by physician wouldnt be filled for sometimes days, a script was "discarded" because they didnt bother to do a PA, scripts were never ready at the time they were supposed to be, doctor wouldnt be called for days when a script needed renewed. Dont work in customer service if you cant be bothered to act like the bare minimum of a decent person for a couple hours a day while you sit around getting paid.

I really like this pharmacy for the following reasons: (1) The location is very convenient to the Northwest neighborhood. I transferred in a prescription because GoodRx said they had the best price. (2) I gave them the wrong pharmacy info to transfer from and they called me back to tell me that it wasnt at that pharmacy and they helped track it down. They were patient and kind with me, despite my misinformation. (3) They took my GoodRx "insurance card" over the phone and told me the price. After the price came in high, I noticed I gave the wrong number and asked if I could switch it (yes, be careful GoodRx has multiple numbers which give different discounts). The woman took down my new number without hesitation and then even quoted me the new much better price. (4) I went down today at 4:00 PM to pick it up. The line was short and my pickup/purchase was handled VERY quickly, probably the quickest I have ever had at any pharmacy.

It amazes me that even though there are always at least 5+ people working there, it can take 10-15 minutes for someone to stop avoiding your gaze and actually come up to help you. In addition, the people working seem to be wading through a thick heavy substance because they work SO SLOW. I used to wonder why prescriptions could take 30 min to over and hour to fill. Now I know it just requires a bad attitude and the ability to be over half-asleep while at work. - In addition, the fact that they are closed on Saturday is just mind boggling to me. It is the easiest day to fill my prescriptions because the rest of the week they open after I go to work and close before I get off.

I cancelled my subscription to CVS Caremark and am paying more to get my medications from a local pharmacy. But at least I wont have to wait over a week for a prescription that they forgot to fill and send to me. When my doctors secretary finally convinced them to send the medication by express mail, they agreed, but sent it by regular mail anyway. It is a seizure medication! I still keep getting emails stating that they have prescriptions ready that havent been approved yet. I discontinued my subscription over three months ago! In my case, they have not been organized, nor have they acted responsibly. The prescriptions were coming from Mt. Prospect, IL

Really dont understand the low reviews - my experience was good. Tough to give a "5 star! review for a quick experience, but it was certainly nothing bad at all. Never had rx filled here before, and had a new rx plan. After my doc sent the rx, a pharmacist called me to get all my info in order to contact my insurance. The pharmacist also did a quick follow-up call to inform me insurance went through A-OK and the medication was not in-house (unusual dosage amount), so they ordered it and had it the next day. I picked it up 5-10 minutes before closing and the service was friendly and hassle-free.

Terrible, terrible customer service at the pharmacy. Ive had a few bad experiences, but today topped them all. I called to ask if they carried a certain prescription and was immediately advised "No." When I asked the lady "You know that right off the top of your head," she said "Yup." End of conversation. If I would have asked about something super common, I could almost understand, but this isnt a common medication, one, and two, she didnt even hesitate to think about it. Sucky service. You can bet Ill never set foot in this place again. No thanks!!

To all these others who gripe about their so-called poor service...thank your lucky stars we have at least ONE CVS retail outlet here, where we can PHYSICALLY order and pick up!!!!!! Would you rather mess with mail order???? I for one, WOULD NOT!!! My God, your cry baby complaining disgusts me!!! You dont like their service...go somewhere else...oh, wait, thats right, you cant!!! Otherwise, enjoy dealing with mail order!! Pathetic reviews!!! I give them FIVE STARS, just for the mere fact they exist!!

This is the worst pharmacy in the city. They take hours to fill prescriptions almost every time. Recently they had trouble with their fax machine and lost peoples prescriptions. My wife went through medical withdrawals from her antidepressants because this pharmacy insisted she had no prescription on record. They didnt seem to care. They are also not open in the evenings or the weekends so it is almost impossible for working people to access their medicine.

Quite frankly - the worst customer service ever. I will say there is one male pharmacist, and one female tech or pharmacist that is nice and polite, but everyone else really could use a lesson in manners and how to deliver professional and polite customer service. I am thankful that our insurance carrier is changing effective January 1st and will no longer have to deal with Care Plus Pharmacy.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Fat older lady with shoulder brown hair very rude!! She usually is working the front counter, lord knows why as she has no customer service skills. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. Telling family and friends to stay away as well.

This is a very clean, very friendly pharmacy. Just the pharmacy, though. This CVS does not have the convenience store side of the business. Theres a waiting room and a counter to speak with the pharmacist. Id say theyre average when it comes to prescription fill times.

Very poor costumer service. Every time I have called or been in to pick up a Rx, I have found the staff to be very rude and very short. They seem to be lazy and not helpful at all. Also, there hours are very inconvenient. I would recommend ANYWHERE else!
