Spent way too much on a bridesmaids dress just to find out Im pregnant the very next day after I paid for the dress in full. I called them up about it, and they pretty much gave me zero options. She was actually quite rude considering my new situation and mentioned I could just donate or forfeit my dress to the store. I wanted to at least exchange it for a different style that would be more accomodating to my belly, but the girl said that wasnt an option and assured me thered be plenty of room with that style and had me order $20 worth of extra material to add to the sides (that was never used). Months later I started getting pics from the other bridesmaids of the horrendous alteration work that was being done on their dresses. I mean WOW! Horrible work, forgetting to hem certain spots, shotty stitching coming off when it was meant to be the final fitting, weird dent in the breast that is lmao hilariously ridiculous that theyd even hand it to her like that. I went in earlier than my fitting to support the bride during her stressful hours back at Bridal Exclusives for her "final fitting" for the umpteenth time (she ended up having to order a whole new dress, but another story) and we requested that I get the alterations done with the head seamstress who was actually quite nice. She suggested to add a lace up in the back and I quite liked that idea, but made my bag of extra materials useless. Good luck getting my money back on that. At my first fitting after the lace-up was added, the breast boning (that my belly would fit under, ha!) was pushed up far above my boobs, practically touching my chin. The next fitting the breast boning was still far above my bra, and the head seamstress wasnt even there. This girl suggested I have somebody else pick up the dress after this "final alteration," because it was so close to the wedding and I was kept busy with the wedding rehearsal, wedding party dinner and other preparations the day before the wedding. No way. Came back a couple days before the wedding and it still looked pretty awful, with the boning up so high you could easily see my bra. Came back again the day before the wedding (right when they opened at 10am) when I had a very full day, did a few adjustments and just ended up paying for the alterations even though it was uncomfortable and I felt like garbage just so I could make it to the wedding rehearsal on time. They were nice enough to give me a discount but I still paid $75 for alterations + $20 for "material I could make a scrunchy with" (that wasnt even the right color), on top of a $225 dress that Ill never be able to wear again after Im pregnant. The day of the wedding I had to keep pulling the breast boning down over my belly (very uncomfortable for both me and the baby at 32 weeks) just to cover my boobs and had the lace-up as tight as I could handle it. I finally stitched a piece of thread in-between my boobs that held it down, and that worked alright. Couldnt wait to get that dress off! What a waste of time and money. I dont remember having trouble at all with alterations at Davids Bridal for my wedding when one of my bridesmaids had just had a baby. How I wish she just would have gone with them and saved us all the trouble :/ Now Ive got a dress I can either burn, or sell for cheap on Craigslist to somebody with a strange shaped body...

Picked out/ordered my wedding dress and paid in full for it, a belt, bra, shoes and preservation which all cost around $2500. Was told alterations would be more as I wanted to alter the back of the dress, no problem. My dress came in a few months later with everything I ordered plus the belt the dress came with. Didnt know the dress came with a belt and would have liked to have known that before I ordered an additional belt which cost around $300. Ouch! The bra Shelly had me order was not the correct bra (per my alterations person as it was too big and stuck out) so I returned it and bought one somewhere else. Brought my one bridesmaid in to pick out her dress with an appointment and was completely ignored. Shelly was double booked and didnt help us or the other party. We ended up helping each other. When it came time for my alterations I thought it wouldnt be such a nightmare. The lady who initially looked at my dress the day I bought it to make sure what I wanted done could be done broke her collar bone. She gave me a quote of $400-600. I met my new alterations person and she quoted me $1,200.00 I signed for the work to be done as it needed to be done and she told me to come back two days before my wedding to try it on and take it. Keep in mind this was 3 months before my wedding. I told her I needed to make sure it fit and liked the alterations way before two days before my wedding. It was done with a week to spare. I understand they were short staffed due to the collar bone accident, but hire other alterations people! During my last visit I was in their waiting area for quite a while which is fine but was beyond shocked to see what was happening. Two sales associates were irritated that another sales associate was helping the customer who just walked in without an appointment instead of one of them. Thats when I realized this place is commission based and no wonder why they sell extra belts and incorrect bras. They dont care! It really was like witnessing a car lot when a customer walks in and they all take turns selling, but this public display of ignorance made myself and the other customer waiting to pick up her dress very comfortable. My dress was sent away for preservation. Upon arrival, they called me to let me know I had a ton of frilled lace on all of the lace applicays on my dress. I told them that I knew that and didnt know it could be corrected. They said Bridal exclusives should have fixed this in the alterations process by taking scissors and cutting them down. I met the owner (male) when I picked out my dress with my family. He was extremely nice and had I known what this experience would have been like I would have discussed it with him or gone somewhere else altogether. He needs to know his staff is a joke. I was stuck with the same sales associate for my dress and my bridesmaid dress who made our day extremely uncomfortable. Buying a wedding dress is supposed to be a joyous occasion and if the sales person doesnt want to be at work that day, they should go home and not take it out on the customer. My friends and family were with me and I was so embarrassed. Work on your professionalism Tigard branch!

Lets just start by saying there are two sides to this store. There is the bridal side of the salon and then theres the bridesmaids side. I first went to the salon to shop for my bridesmaids dresses. They had a good selection of dresses at affordable prices, however there were only a handful of plus size gowns available to try on in this side of the store. We found our dresses though and alterations went well. My gals looked great on the big day! My second experience with the store was taking two of my recently engaged girlfriends to try on bridal gowns here. They worked us in for a same day appointment with Shelli and man, this girl knocked it out of the park for us. She found them dresses that fit their very different personalities and budgets and they both walked away with dresses that afternoon. My third experience with the store came less than two weeks before my own wedding. I had hired a professional seamstress to make my dress and it just didnt work out. At the last minute Shelli and her mother, Christine in alterations, came to my rescue. As a plus size bride, I was terrified about trying to find a dress with so little time. But she found me the perfect dress that fit me right off the rack and Christine was able to complete the minor alterations (cutting off the train and adding straps) without trouble. I cannot say enough good things about the bridal side of the salon and in particular, Shelli. They have an excellent selection of moderately priced gowns in all sizes and styles. If youre shopping for a wedding dress, dont waste time; go here first! For bridemaids, it is still the best place weve found in town, but know that your plus sized maids will only be able to try on a very limited selection of gowns. Good luck!
