PRO-TIP for lazy fathers: Bring your little kids in and help them dig through some Cat in the Hat books. Get three books that you dont have yet, and hand your kid a few dollar bills and let them pay for their treasures at the counter. Teach them please-and-thankyou at the shop, and then teach them a little patience to wait until theyre home to unpack their stories. Congratulations dad, you just invested 30 minutes to create a positive experience that your child will remember forever. Dont get grumpy if they fuss about only getting 3 books, or having to wait until theyre home to read them. Theyre excited, and the more they whine about it just proves how much it all meant to them. Theres a good chance that youll have good memories of this trip, too! We take our kids there about once a month. They have too many books now, but Im glad that they spontaneously choose a trip to the book store over anything else. Subsequent trips will be easier for you because the little monsters remember where the kids section is, and they know the routine of exchanging the dollars and patiently clutching their bounty.

I have been going to Bearly Read Books for at least 30 years now. They have a great selection, and the owner keeps it well stocked. She has been making changes by trying to get rid of the older stuff to make room for the newer books everybody is after, she also has some pretty great deals. If you havent been you should go and check it out you wont be disappointed. I love it there, there is nothing finer than walking into a bookstore and seeing the huge selection, paranormal, mystery by lady authors, mystery by men authors, horror, sci-fi, romance, historicals, some non-fiction, self help, vintage and inspirational to name a few of the catagories. Go check it out!!!!

Used to like it, inventory doesnt really change, just leaves and comes back. Its like a fee library. You buy books and then they tell you they want them back when youve read them and give you a little credit. One time I took a book back and a woman told me she couldnt take it back because it looked used and she would not be able to resell it. First they act like its a crime to keep a book then look at you like a criminal when you bring it back. Its a used book store, nobody is going to refuse a book that looks pre-read.

Bearly Read Books is a great little shop if youre after fiction - there are shelves upon shelves of romance, western, scifi, fantasy and horror. Theres a good amount of true-crime as well. They dont carry much in the way of classical literature, but what I did find was nice and cheap.

This used book store has a good variety of used books in decent condition and at reasonable prices. The owner is friendly and is very helpful in tracking down books by title and author. This is also a good place to trade your used paper back books.

Fantastic little used bookstore! A great, sizable collection, given the overall size of the store. Super pricing on the merchandise, friendly staff, and a couple of friendly, playful cats! This shop hits all the right notes!

It is cat lady heaven. Lots of used romance novels and cats with warning signs. The place is kind of a maze but it is tidy and the books are fairly easy to find if you are looking g for something.
