Take note first timers and all super experienced persons already tattooed. At Octopus Ink you will find a wonderful talented artist able to engage his clients at the point they happen to be at with their idea, vision, or fully sketched example of intent. This artists true nature that allows him to subtly understand his client so well is indeed rare in any personal service business yet in the tattoo sphere can not be under stated when the results are so permanent and often on public display. I have found over the several years that I have been getting tattoos here that this artist is able to deliver results that continually exceed all my expectations and as Ive overheard of those coming to and going from appointments with him. Probably most important to me however is that Jim, the owner and sole tattoo artist here at Octopus Ink, has gone from someone unknown to me, to someone I call my dear friend. Your experience getting ink from Jim will be full of fun and light hearted laughter. Before you even realize it, your session will be over, on time, and someone will be anxiously waiting to take your place. Youll go on way not only with a beautiful piece of high art that friends and strangers alike will admire, but also enriched for the experience of time spent with a genuine human being you might even call, "Friend".

Jim is one of the great ones! Hes professional and is an amazing artist. Ive had Jim do 5 Pieces for me (with another on the way) and I have been ecstatic with each piece. My favorite is when he caught the true essence of an Hawaiian sunset from a photo I took right down to the golden sheen on the water-Amazing! People compliment this on my bicep all the time. The atmosphere in his studio is great and since he works alone his focus is on the art hes giving you. Hes even got great taste in music should you wish to hear some while he works-Classic Rock to amazing jazz, Indie to Classical, it all adds such a comfortable environ to experience. I have others do work on me before, but I would trust Jim only from now on. I even had him touch up others work to make them better. I HIGHLY recommend Octopus Ink!

I followed my husband here after seeing the awesome work that Jim has done. The location is on a quiet street with lots of parking but close to main roads and very easy to get to. One benefit is that there is privacy in the tattoo suite so that there is a degree of privacy while you are getting your work done. This isnt a shop that offers flash tattoos on Friday the 13th, but if you are serious about wanting your tattoo done well and done right- YOU GO TO OCTOPUS INC As nice as the shop is, the artist Jim is what makes Octopus inc phenomenal. He does beautiful tattoos in a variety of styles. My husband has color, I have black and white but his portfolio includes all kinds of styles so Id suggest hitting him up if you are looking to get work done. I will definitely be coming back for my next tattoo!

I adore Jim, and I love my sleeve tattoo! I came to Jim to have a little corrective work done on my first tattoo. I loved his artistry and the way that he worked with me so much that over the course of the next few months, one thing led to another, and we added more as ideas cropped up. I love his individual attention, and the fact that he only has one client in the shop at a time. It is totally private and immaculately clean. Jim will tweak any ideas, photos or drawings that you send him. He has an artists eye and will give you his best each and every time he works with you. His music selections and sense of humor make for an entirely enjoyable experience.

I love this place! I have four previous tattoos and Jims work tops them all. He is truly my favorite artist now. On top of that, he is a super nice guy who runs a clean shop that takes appointments only. He did a wonderful job creating exactly what I wanted. He will make you feel welcome and comfortable. The photo is of the day of, so it will be even better when it heals a bit more. This is a great place for first timers or veterans. Jim cares about his art and it shows. I have already referred other people and will definitely be back. Where ever you are, this place is worth the drive.

Ive got 9 total tattoos done by Jim at various times, you can definitely count on getting a high quality website. Ive got a taste for super detailed work which he really excels at. Plus, as an extra benefit he can do digital previews on stencil paper before hand so if its too big/small you can adjust it to make sure what you get done is absolutely perfect size and position. After care is really great too, making sure that its touched up and your skin reacts well. Ive needed it a few times, I can definitely appreciate a business owner that takes such excellent care to ensure youre happy.

I had made that dreadful youthful mistake of getting a tattoo for a Beau that went South. Jim was my savior and did an Amazing cover up for me!! You cant even tell there was another tattoo underneath and he was always SO patient since it took quite a few visits. Now I have a beautiful tribute to my beautiful daughters for whom my first tattoo should have been for anyway!! GREAT SHOP!!

I have had a few tattoos done by other shops but Octopus Ink is the best shop that I have had work done in. The owner Jim has an art back ground that he uses with every tat that he draws. I am currently getting a 3/4 sleeve done and it has the best fine line work that I have seen. Give this shop a try. You will be very happy. Jeff

I did a matching safety pin tattoo along with my daughter. Although my daughter has many tattoos, this was my first, and I was nervous. Jim did a wonderful job of making me relaxed and comfortable, and I was most pleased at the quality of his work. If I ever get another tattoo, this is certainly where I will go.
