We discovered Nova Tattoo when they were just finishing setting up their studio. A few weeks later I stopped by and talked to Les Windley about adding to my butterfly collection - I left the image and coloring up to him and was thrilled with the results, so we started talking about the hawk tattoo Ive been thinking of for quite a while. I emailed some photos and Less drawing was everything I wanted. The results are spectacular! Ive had so many comments about the realism and was stopped many times at a recent tattoo convention so people could look at it more closely. The results are only part of the story - Les is very personable and values his interaction with his clients. Customer Service is apparently a high concern with the artists in this clean & sanitary studio. If you are looking for some custom work and one-on-one interaction with your tattoo artist, stop by and discuss your ideas - youll be impressed.

I had stopped by several months ago just to check the place out as it was new to the area, Les was nice to talk to and I came back a few months later and Les and i talked about a Dragon Fly tattoo. I gave him a few ideas that I liked and when he drew me up my first look it wasnt quite what I wanted, Les was more than happy to make all the changes i wanted and came up with the prefect tattoo, in fact I was so pleased I chatted with a friend of mine and she decided she wanted to have a different tattoo done to cover one of hers up. Again Les came up with the prefect tattoo and made the time to get both me and my friend in on the same night! we both love our new tattoos and plan to get another one soon. Had a great experience from start to finish. I was recommended to Les by someone that has several pieces by him. Got back to me quick, drawing was amazing, I had a tattoo drawn up that wasnt an easy one and was a head scratcher and he Hella pulled out a great drawing. He listened to any changes I wanted made and happily made them. Got schedule and it wasnt a stretch I had to wait for my appointment. It was the fastest 4 hours with little pain. I have other tattoos from other artists that seemed to drag on and on with more pain than not. Great back and fourth convo to get you thru. I highly recommend Les to anyone looking for an amazing artist with patience and great customer service. I will definitely be back to this dude! My tattoo looks amazing.

Dont get anything with any amount of detail from this place! Hes good at cartoon style tats, but thats it. He messed up my design, and after multiple tries to fix it, not only could he not, he made it worse! I ended up having to stop him while "fixing" it since it was getting so bad. My recommendation is to just stay away - its not worth the risk of having a bad tattoo permanently on your body!

I fulfilled one of the things on my bucket list, to get my first tattoo. After carefully researching tattoo parlors, I choose Novas. The experience was great. Les, the owner was so professional and talented, he carefully gave me great aftercare. Requirements. Ive only gotten compliments from everyone that sees it. Thank you Les, for making my first experience relaxing.

Have had what Id consider 2 big tattoos at nova, les did both of mine and I really really love them would definitely recommend this shop, as long as I live in Portland Ill come here, les is very respectful and nice, unlike most artists! Also shop has warm comfortable feel
