We certainly appreciate finally having an extensively stocked hardware store in the area, and are particularly grateful since its within walking distance of our home. The Talbert Hardware down the road was nice to have, and saved many longer trips to Home Depot or Lowes, but just as often they didnt have what I was after; the Ace sometimes will meet that limitation too, Im sure, but their larger floor space and stock holds more promise. The staff is always ready to help me locate something specific or offer advice on a project or proffer options. What one staff member doesnt know is more often than not known by another, and they readily consult as needed to try and further any endeavor Im pursuing. Its also nice to now have a close source of propane refill so we dont have to do the "trading tanks" thing; often the tanks in those cages are all empty, plus our tank has special fittings best attended by refilling, not trading away. Additionally, we have an RV with a built-in propane tank; with plenty of room to the east on their lot, we can pull our RV easily alongside their large tank for refills before camping trips. We no longer have to go all the way to Hometown Fireplace and BBQ store on Otty Rd. for BBQ propane (they are closing and moving to another as yet uncertain location anyway), or go RVing with a partially filled tank. Its also nice to have gardening supplies close by, so when in the middle of a project I can run up for something and get it done, rather than the usual routine... wait several days until the next time Im near a garden center some miles away. And who can dismiss the cash weve already saved, since the store opened, by way of their Rewards program? The new Ace is a very positive addition to the community and a particularly welcome one for local homeowners like us.

Poor customer service. I went here and bought a new lawn mower blade and it did not fit my mower and tried to return it to the store the next day with the receipt and packaging and the guy at the counter would not help at all he said since he couldnt resell it as new I couldnt do anything. I tried to contact the manager and left a message and e mailed still have not heard back from him this was 2 weeks ago save you time and money there are other hardware stores close by that will be happy to help you.

Creepy manager leered at me and followed me around the store.Teenage helpers are nice, but have little knowledge to offer. Prices are higher than the competition. Many people think of Ace as a local mom and pops hardware store, but it is really just a big corporation charging way too much for cheaply made Chinese products and under paying there employees.

It is awesome to have the Happy Valley Ace store open! Ive become a regular and appreciate the ease of getting what I need along with the qualified friendly help, Ive long wondered why Happy Valley didnt have an Ace. The good news is that the Hardware Store "drought" is over! Enjoy, I am!

All of the employees were very friendly and helpful! I got greeted as I walked through the door and asked if I needed help finding anything by everyone who I passed by! It is a very clean well organized store and I am so greatful to have them in the neighborhood!

Tony was patient on the phone when I called with a list of irrigation parts. When I came in with my list I was greeted at the door. Tony helped me find everything I needed, in and out in under 10 minutes. Excellent customer service!!

Called in before going, they said they had what I needed! Got there and nope they didnt! Floor guy was unapologetic in fact got in my face! Ill NEVER go there again! Bad place to shop if your a tradesman!
