Definitely very useful to have available and to know about and use, at least occasionally, even if you subscribe to the belief that only rich snobs shop there (not true). Not everything is overpriced as some reviewers suggested, but WF does present some upscale specialty items to the willing who are able, but so does MOC and so do many other businesses. They have some decent deals and not-so-great deals; but in general they dont seem to be out of step price-wise with most places on most products. But you have to be selective and as *always*, buyer beware. Produce is is decent and and about equally as hit-and-miss as MOC; its no Sundance in the produce dept. e.g., not the panacea Id hoped for, but not bad. At that *other* big health food store around here Ive been too often very disappointed in the fruit such as cherries and strawberries which were sold to look good but, turned out to be flavorless or worse, leaving me feeling ripped off, again, thats not WF - I dont know how WF handles a bad season or crop; will they be more selective and refuse to foist bogus produce when pickings are not up to par? Wont know until Summer. Ambience is good - big roomy light open store, so if you dont arrive at a crowded hour, youll probably find it an enjoyable shopping experience. I find just about everyone positive, helpful and friendly and proactive there. WF has a better parking scene than a lot of other stores around; so far, I have never struggled to find a space, and getting in and out of the lot is easy. Whole Foods sports some brands and varieties I havent seen at MOC and some other stores (such as yogurt and vegan cheese). If youre looking for a quick meal or a snack, its pretty good. If you want to bring home a tasty meal from the deli, and food bars, youre all set. Its a destination if I dont feel like cooking or it got too late, and for me, WF food bar is often a better choice than local restaurants (less waiting, no tip, and less burnout on lack of variety, etc...). Burritos at WF are good (you pick the ingredients ala carte), but MOC has better pizza (might be the crust). Soups are hit and miss and on a par with other local health food stores IMO. Dispensed salad dressings are average; if Im using the salad bar, I usually buy dressing from the fridge or make at home. If youre vegan you *can* find things that are good, but there are a lot of non-vegan, non-vegetarian choices to test your resolve.

I have been discriminated against and harassed at this store by its security and undercover shopper. Ive been a common shopper here for months and have paid the store tons of money. Im guessing they simply dont like the way I look (23 year old male with dyed hair and piercings) but the past 5 times Ive shopped here, the security guard consistently followed me around. Today I was trying to read the ingredients on food options. The security guard circled the two aisles around me 4 times over a 2 minute period! I also had a "shopper" staring me down to boot. Then the guard stopped and just started staring at me! I dropped my things and began walking out of the store, as I will not fund or purchase anything from a store that wants to treat hard paying customers as criminals. The security guard followed me out of the store AND CONFRONTED ME! To my pleasure he realized that I was innocent. After he had me empty my pockets abd accused me of theft. I will probably never shop at Whole Foods again because of this experience. Ive worked in a number of retail jobs and would never have treated any customer this way unless I knew for a fact they had stolen (which has happened to me at my past jobs). There are many other natural grocers around Eugene that are way more affordable and treat customers as they should be treated: like customers!

I eat at their salad bar most days for lunch, but Im getting a little frustrated at the lack of consistency. Lately the spinach has been looking kind of terrible, they pretty much havent had chicken in weeks but instead theres like three different kinds of tuna (seriously who likes canned tuna that much?), and the past two days theres been no quinoa. The other stuff I can live with, but the quinoa is pretty much the only reason I go to Whole Foods rather than a different salad bar, as they are the only place I know that offers it. I dont think its the employees fault, when I asked about the chicken they said they havent been sent any lately. Ive become a salad bar snob who likes consistency, and I need me some quinoa!

I love Whole Foods in San Francisco, Oakland, and other places Ive gone to them but was extremely disappointed after exploring our new store. Having Celiac, the variety of new-to-me gluten free options has always been the draw. I feel like the Eugene store checked out what was already available in town and are selling the same things at a higher price. On top of this, ours is not the first WF where items with wheat are being sold in the middle of the gf section. I know its on me to read labels, but its easier for me to read the labels than, for example, a busy parent trying to move quickly through with their crying kid.

Very disappointed in this Whole Foods Market. Others I have been at around the country have been much better. The selection of food here is for the most part much poorer than Market of Choice, and most things are much more expensive here. Poor meat and fish section; not a very big selection. Product labels are very hard to read because of the small print, and many things were unlabeled when I was in there today (12/10/2016). I bought some ripe pears, and the checker put them at the very bottom of the bag so that one was smashed and another partially smashed when I got home. I doubt that I will go back.

Healthy food, knowledgeable staff, priced about the same as the other health food groceries in Eugene. Oh, and WF staff get paid better and treated better than their main competitor, Market of Choice (which is infamous for browbeating workers and not hiring anyone with tatts or piercings, i.e. typical Eugenians). Also, store management is very receptive of comments and complaints. As for the guy who claims he got harassed by security for looking weird: nope. Lots of eccentric folks come into the store, and unless you shoplift, you wont be bothered.

Store is awesome with a lot of cool things, but my cashier was rude AF. I didnt get her name, but she was a young girl with brown hair and was working on checkout #2 at about 1:20pm today 05/29/17... I first asked her if I needed a label on my box that I got from the self serve area and she just looked at me like I was stupid and shook her head at me... I brushed it off and was nice anyways... I even gave one last attempt and as I was grabbing my things I looked at her and smiled and said "Thank you! Have a good day!" And she completely ignored me

I love that its super close to my work and home, the selection is pretty awesome. Everything is fresh and strives to be healthy. Awesome deli style foods and buffet self serves by the pound that is always yummy. And the best part is that all in all I dont spend any more than I did shopping at safe way. Best produce in town, the Meat department makes amazing sausage, and crab cakes, ect. Below is pictures of meals I cooked with everything from whole foods
