I could not have had a better car buying experience. Buying from Kendall was extremely easy and I never felt pressured or stressed. Overview: I was upside down in my old car, and paying a hefty sum each month as it possessed high miles and was in constant need of attention and care. I came to Kendall Subaru as I saw a nice Impreza on there website and became curious as to what it was like in person. After being immediately greeted by a sales rep named Jacob. He showed me around the Imprezas and we discussed my current predicament. He said to bring in my current car (Its tires were in the middle of being replaced) and he can see what they can do for me. Jacob was extremely sincere and personable. That night I went home and browsed the site some more and got connected with an online sales rep named John Bergland. We chatted back in fourth over email for a couple days and I finally got a chance to come in again with my car to get serious about a purchase. John was extremely friendly and showed me an incredible 2013 Impreza Wagon that was a little more then I initially planned on spending but had many more features and much less miles. John and I went on a drive and I fell in love. We came back to the office and he ran my credit as well as gave me a quote for my current car. My credit history was extremely short so I was worried about financing, though John appeared optimistic. Over the weekend John and I were able to make a deal and Kendall was able to get me financing. John called me up telling me to come on in and pick-up my new car, and that I did. I immediately came down, traded in my old car for a great, almost new Subaru, and was out the door in less then an hour. (I must add that although I knew exactly what car I wanted and researched it for hours before and after driving it. John Bergland did an incredible job of going over all the features of the car and explaining how everything worked.) My Thoughts: I have dealt with many car dealers before. I have helped friends and family members buy cars and I have bought 3 myself. The quality of service from Kendall and John Bergland is unmatched. I have never met a car salesman like John, I honestly felt like a friend instead of someone he just wanted to sell a car to. I will continue to buy my cars from Kendall as it was a seamless car buying process. Thank you Kendall and John I now cant stop smiling as I drive.

Updated: 9/2/2016: got my car back from the dealer 2 weeks ago because of oil consumption issue (third engine now!)with a hole/ rip in the front bumper. Complained to the dealer and they agreed to fix my bumper. Saw one of the other service advisers scuff at my accusations of them damaging my car. So I removed my dash cam memory card and showed them the tech hitting the lift with my car, then cursing (he knew what he did). The service adviser Kara jumped in and was extremely helpful. She is THE SERVICE ADVISER to go to. Kara made sure my bumper was fixed correctly and that no one handle my car unless she was working that day. How cool is that, seriously!!!! Now Im on vacation, 250 miles from home, and I already used 1/2 quart of oil. Im really hating this 2013 Impreza! 3 days later, after I got back (another 250miles), the engine is no longer consuming oil. Maybe the engine need time to break in. I will monitor in the next few weeks as I approach the 1000 mile mark on the engine. If you ever need your Subaru fixed go to Kara. She actually listens and cares and her customer service is superior to any dealership I have experienced Original Review: I walked in because my oil light is on (after 1,564 miles into my last oil change) on my 2013impreza with 34,000 miles. This would be my second engine replacement for this car for an oil consumption issue. I walked in ready to do battle, but my service adviser (Josh) was super nice and very helpful. He took my car in, changed the oil, and started an oil consumption test. This took place while they were beyond busy and techs were extremely booked. I was very happy he took the time to listen and assured me that at 1200 miles, if my car fails hed do the paperwork for Subaru of America to get me my third engine. This place has never given me a reason to doubt them. Its extremely hard to do battle when someone is extremely nice and actively listens to your issues. Even though Im really hating getting new engines in my 34,000 mile car, I would recommend Kendall Subaru as a dealership. Just stay way from Imprezas and foresters with the 2.0litre non-turbo fb20 engine. Very bad mojo!!

My experience was so amazing at Kendall Subaru. The associate that I worked with was very knowledgeable, super friendly, and was willing to stay late until I got there (I drove over 2 hours). Jacob is an amazing asset to the Company and made the car buying experience stress free. I had been test driving Subaru’s at other dealers for a couple of months trying to find the right one. When I was ready to buy they were not willing to work with me at all, and kept trying to push models that I did not want on me. It wasn’t going well so I went online remembering that my parents always went to Kendall and had good experiences. I found the exact model, color, and features that I wanted. Then contacted them with what the next step was in possibly buying the car or at least looking at it. I got a response right away from Jacob after I submitted my inquiry. Working with Jacob over the phone and through email, while a little unorthodox, was surprisingly easy and quick too. We nailed down all of the details, he even went online and helped me pull a value on my trade in and what they’d be willing to do based on the information that I provided him. Once we came to terms on pricing and other details Jacob pulled the car I wanted and I drove up to get my new Subaru. He assured me that everything would be exactly as we discussed on the phone, and it was, my financing rate, the price of the car, the price of my trade in were all the same, no last minute changes or anything. When I got there, it was washed and ready to go. We did the paperwork and by the time we were done it was well after closing for them and Jacob still walked me through all of the features of the vehicle and did not make me feel rushed at all. It was such a pleasant experience. This was my first major car purchase and I was so nervous after hearing horror stories from friends about their car purchasing experiences. I can’t thank Kendall Subaru enough for the amazing job they did. I am in the car that I want and within the budget that I wanted. And feel so good that I am now part of the Subaru family. Thank you Jacob, you are the best.

I absolutely loath the normal BS of the new car buying experience and can not stand the typical smooth-talking, "slick" type of car salesman... My experience at Kendall Subaru of Eugene was a completely different experience than Ive EVER had buying a new car. And thats a GOOD thing! I dealt with John Bergland via emails only until I called to place a deposit on the car. He could NOT have been more helpful in answering all questions (VERY quickly), and couldnt have more professional and efficient. NEVER any of the "sales-guy-double-talk" or even a hint of "high pressure", and we exchanged a LOT of e-mails back and forth before my deposit was placed. Drove two hours to the dealership to test drive (and buy) this 12 Outback, and it was the same story. John couldnt have been more friendly, professional, efficient and NO last minute "sales tactics". He took me for almost a HOUR test drive because he wanted to make sure I knew what the car was capable of, and that I knew it inside and out. I also came away just generally feeling that this was overall a "CLASS" operation, and that it wasnt just a "fluke" that I ended up with the "one good salesman". Everyone in the operation seemed genuinely friendly, LOW pressure, and wanting to make the experience a pleasant one. Of course, I had to sit through the requiste talk with the Finance person as to why I needed the extended warranty and other add ons, but even she (Stacey) was extremely friendly, NOT pushy in the least, and remained extremely friendly even after I nicely said "No" to all things offered. Maybe Subaru salesmen dont need to use the "Old School" tactics because the cars virtually sell themselves... All I can say is this was unlike any new car buying experience Ive ever had...and I would most definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Subaru!
