I highly suggest against buying cycling gear from this store. I bought a road bike from them back in May. I had something making noise near my rear derailer that I didnt like. I took it in and the guy that was there took it apart. He said that he would keep the bike overnight. He was working on a bike at the time and I understood he couldnt work on mine at the time so I left it with them. I got a call saying it was ready a couple of days later. I came in and asked about the part that the guy took apart. The other worker behind the counter said it was fine and acted like he knew nothing about what I was talking about. I had a weird taste in my mouth as I have cycled for quite some time and have gone to many shops. That just felt weird. I took the bike to the front and asked for a manager. The manager said that the guy who took my bike apart the first night wasnt a mechanic. I was very puzzled at that time. He was working on a bike when I saw him. I told her the story and she said... Well if it is a simple fix, he can do it but hes not a mechanic. She said they only have one mechanic. Every bike shop that I have ever gone to has at least 3 mechanics on staff. No non mechanic should be touching a bike if they arent qualified. What I forgot to say was after me feeling really weird and a little ticked at the guys in the shop was that the two guys back there came out of the door and stood beside one another with their arms crossed. They were obviously trying to look bigger than me. I knew I had free tune ups and all sorts of free stuff, but I knew at that time that I wouldnt be taking my bike back to them no matter what. Id rather pay for good service over shady service for free. I give this rating 2 stars because of the bike. They are paid on commission so kinda watch for that. They will either hound you or act like you dont exist. I honestly dont know how they still survive. Their prices on sale are about regular retail. I will say that they have insane good deals on sandals. Def a good place to go for that. If you want a bike, or parts, go to Toms, Mid-Town or T-Town. I dropped too much money on a bike I wanted and sadly regret that decision.

What a terrible company with HORRIBLY INCONSIDERATE staff! There is a reason that everything in your store is half off, because when you arent willing to go the extra mile for your customers who deserve it – you dont deserve to be in business and you WILL fail! You should make your return/exchange policy abundantly clear to people without them having to go online, especially since a lot of people cant afford computers. I spent almost $140 on 2 garments that HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be worn. Despite keeping them in perfect condition, never washing them, and especially never wearing them, I was denied the opportunity to exchange them or be issued a refund because the tags(which I had in my possession as well as the receipt) were not attached to the garments. The way my situation was handled was completely unacceptable, and because your company refused my refund – my family will have far less to eat this week because that was going to be used for my grocery money. I hope that you are happy with yourselves!!

Lori, the manager is not a nice person. Its sad when the person you go to to fix a problem has the worst attitude. I am seeing a pattern in these reviews. Seems like this store, which I have been coming to for 30 years, does pretty good until it comes to returns. I bought some ski pants, spent over $600 on all items, and noticed the pants rang up wrong and didnt show the sale price. I told the checker that the pant s were on sale and the manager Lori overheard and yelled out those pant were not in the sale. I said well the sign says they are and she said again no they werent. I got my money back, then went over to look again and sure enough they were on sale. I took the sign back over and showed Lori and you would have thought I had shoplifted the whole store by her response. She was hatfull blamed the issue on other people and never once apologized or had a bit of pleasantry to her. WONT BE BACK!

My husband and I went today to look at bicycles. We arent not knowledgeable about bikes at all and we needed help with what type of bicycles we needed, helmets, accessories etc. We were there for over 30 min and no one ever came to help. No one even acknowledged our presence by saying hi or anything. We couldnt even find someone to help by walking around. So we left and went to a bicycle shop by our house and ended up spending $1200 on all of the items listed above. That local bike shop had great service, took the time to fit us on bikes and made us comfortable with spending that kind of money as novices. We will not be returning to sun and ski as we can clearly find better service elsewhere, even if it means spending a little more. The man at the bike shop was very pleased we had poor (no) service at sun and ski as he made a great sale today.

Very poor customer service. Dalton and Lori were helping us make a return and they LOST OUR RETURN ITEM we had given to them as we entered. The receipt was in the box. When they couldnt find it at checkout, they had accidently put them back in the stock receipt and all. They couldnt find the receipt in the box bc the stock person had dropped the receipt out of the box. They were acting like we were not honest and even though it was their fault they didnt want to give us our money back. Finally the receipt was found on the store floor, a lengthy exchange process took place with lots of confusion then we were offered a flippant apology by the managet, Lori. Dalton, the employee who lost the merchandise hung his head and didnt speak. WONT BE BACK.

Went in to return some shoes and one of the staff members took the shoes fine me at the front we I walked in the store and after 10 min of walking around the store I went back up to the front to finger the transaction of returning the shoes one of the staff members took the shoes back with the receipt in the box and lost the receipt. After 20 min looking for the receipt I found it on the floor back in the shoe department.

Fantastic customer service! The manager went out of her way to get the staff that had the expertise in snowboarding to help us. By out of her way I mean the employee was not working that day so she called him and he came into work to help and she gave us a discount just for the "inconvenience." Well be coming back to this sun and ski every single time we need some equipment.

I loved this place until I had to use the bathroom there. Ive never written a bad review before, but I was so grossed out. The water fountain outside the bathroom was disgusting, too. Any business that leaves their bathrooms and water fountains this filthy doesnt truly care about their customers nor their team members. Hire a night cleaner?
