Hobby Lobby in Norman is an extremely fun place to shop. I dont know why people let little things cause them to leave such nasty reviews about a place... But I will leave an honest one just to counteract some of the baseless claims about the store. Yes, its true that the customer service isnt always wonderful, but they get the job done. If you ask someone walking around for help in a friendly way, they will help you find what youre looking for in a friendly way. I havent had a perfect experience with the cashiers- they usually arent very attentive (talking to each other and such), but theyve always gotten my items scanned, taken my money, and let me on my way without being purposefully rude. Of course, Im always careful to start off with a pleasant hello and a smile which makes a HUGE difference no matter who youre dealing with. Please realize that this sort of job doesnt pay well and that you cant expect the service that you would find in a high end boutique where the sales people make really good money. Im sure Hobby Lobby is just doing the best it can with the available work force. Also, why on earth would you try to go shopping on your lunch break? Thats just asking to get stuck in a line or traffic. Instead of being rude and leaving a cart full of stuff sitting there, save it for when you get off and just concentrate on eating your lunch and relaxing... Sorry to attack anyone, it just really irks me when people tarnish a business reputation based on such little things that are probably resulting from unrealistic expectations or rude behavior on their own part to begin with. Perhaps your negative reviews are needed because your experience really was terrible through no fault of your own, but really, how often does that happen?

If there was an option, I would have given them ratings in negative (-). I bought a wall clock from this store that was marked down. No where on the product it was written that the clock was damaged. I brought it home, and found the clock doesnt work. When I took it back to the store to exchange for a similar one that WORKS, I was told I have to pay the full price for the item. The manager was very ill mannered and did not know how to talk to customer. The manager said that his "words are the final" and no way I can get a working piece in the same price. It seemed he knew that the clock did not work and had put that up for sale in spite of that. He said he thought "somebody might take the non-working clock as a wall decoration". How can he manage to have his job with such a low level of intellect - oh sorry! its Hobby Lobby after all. DO NOT buuy anything from this store.

Awful place. Manager is a hussy. They didnt want to return a small baggie of 4 jewelry clasps I bought the day before. The clasp was not big enough and I wasnt going to waste 4 bucks on something that didnt work. The returns lady didnt want to return it because "the baggie was open ". Lady, you literally just staple it back closed right where the staple was before. The manager reluctantly told her to do the return. She said to make sure all the pieces are there. The lady made a fuss because "well how am I supposed to know how many are supposed to be there??" I said, it says right there on the package. 4 pieces. The manager sarcastically said " its too tiny for me to read". These ladies were total bitches.

Customer in front of us was buying (yarn or string) the price came up different than what should have been. The cashier had front end manger ( African american lady with long braids) came to the to the register, the cashier said this was ringing up different than what was said. The front end manager said it was not on sale- a different yarn was? But the front end manager didnt go check or call anyone. She just made the decision her self. Customer was got frustrated, said she didnt want to argue with her. And decided to leave. The front end manager spoke with another employee about the lady and got an attitude. This was afternoon on 07/15/17.

The problem with Hobby Lobby is that you wait and wait and wait (and wait) in line to check out. Guess it is a staffing problem...guess the upper echelons of management are too concerned with the almighty dollar, despite their religious philosophy, to have properly paid and trained staff. So what else is new! Shopping on your lunch hour? Be prepared, you might have to put down your purchase and leave. My wife and I have had to do that several times over the years. Really really frustrating.

Coming from Hawaii we have no stores with the depth of selection that you find in Hobby Lobby. They have a tremendous selection of seasonal decor. I visited in mid August and was able to find a slew of snowmen pieces to add to my collection back home. There also was a huge selection of Halloween and Fall merchandise. This store definitely appeals to those who are into crafts as well as those who like to decorate their homes.

Love the phone 40% discount on one item coupon as well as the in-store discounts. The store is always stocked with new and trendy home decor, the holiday products are displayed so that çonsumers can pickup, examine and compare with like items. Employees are friendly and ready to help you find products in the wonderland of craft, art supplies, sewing, floral, home decor, seasonal and other hobby supplies.

Extremely clean, good prices, great friendly service, will order what you need on the rare occasion they dont have it on the floor. I know I can always find what I want/need at reasonable pricing. The 40% coupon I can use from my smartphone saves time and tons of $! Wish I had more time and money to spend here!

overall a good experience. when asking where a certain item could be found, I was told they didnt carry it, only to find an entire isle full of them. But other than that I love, love, love hobby lobby, and most of the other associates were much more helpful. and I was able to make my gender reveal sash today!

90% sure theres a Scientology headquarters underground and I heard they dont want there employees to have birth control because the owner is a cult leader. But, if youre looking for a turquoise cross to hang on your wall this is the place to be.

Always a great deal going on in this place. Great selection of anything crafty and hobby like. Staff is ok, almost feels like they dont really want to be there, but they will help you when asked. Otherwise, extremely clean and organized

I buy most of my art supplies here, especially canvas and paint. They have some good framing options, but if youre a professional artist, you may be able to fine better options for framing somewhere else.
