Im posting this just after a visit. I just went in to the Westerville location, looking to possibly hold and get some information on the reptiles they had there. Caitlin, I think, greeted me. When I asked her about savanna monitors she said they didnt carry them and hadnt seen any there in her year of working there. I had visited earlier in the year (February or march) and they had monitors. I asked about tarantulas, same answer. I buy my dog food from this place all the time and I have frequently seen trantulas in stock. Since I was out of luck, I asked her if she could recommend ant reptile pet shops in the area. She simply said no. Thats why I am writing this review. Since Jacks pets has turned into pet valu, they have lost a lot of their animal space. I have no doubt that countless of other people have cone in, asking about the same thing and getting the same answer (not just here but at other locations). As some one who works in the customer service business and has for many years, I suggest that you, Caitlin, and other employees who have gotten these questions, to do your research so that you can have better interactions with your customers.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. Most are very knowledgeable, and if they dont know the answer they will get you to someone who does. The animals however are another issue. If it has fur, it seems to be well cared for. Everything else is not so lucky. The reptiles and amphibians are not getting proper nutrition, but i dont think any looked terminal. The fish on the other hand.... I have purchased countless fish from this location, and all but two Oscars have died within three days. Almost every tank is infected with ich or fin fungus, and it gets worse every visit. At this point, i buy fish from there as a humanitarian act in attemt to save their lives! I dont usually post negative reviews, but avoid purchasing anything from this location that isnt in a box.

They sell sickly animals bought a rabbit and two days later it died ; ( called and told them they said to come in and they would refund me or I could get another rabbit showed up and they said I needed to have the body they NEVER said that if they did I would have brought her back. I felt very judged because I had my child with me first of all the bunny my was mine my kid never got near it so for you to look at me like oh your kid must have killed it was un necessary I will not ever be going back.

Went in for frozen mice for my pet snake, also shopped for some dog food. For a place named pet valu they were very expensive the snake "food" i got was marked high quality and very expensive and half were wet and unusable because of how they where processed & packaged. The cashier also had an interesting conversation with me about the owner having issues keeping it in stock and sourcing them, seems maybe they should go with someone else.

Great service and always professional. Anytime I have questions, the employees are always courteous and helpful. One of the employees called another store to price match my flea and tick applicators, which was something I was not expecting. Prices are a little higher than others but you get the quality in what you buy.

I had wonderful service here and the prices are amazing compared to Petco. The only complaint I have is how small the rabbit/guinea pig/bird cages are. They are extremely small and half the size of normal cages which is awful.
