I use to LOVE this place. Was so happy it was opened under new management and got a facelift! But then ... When an employees pet was diagnosed with a fatal and HIGHLY transferable disease, the lack of education displayed by the new owners was stomache turning. As PARVO can easily be transmitted by contact with people who have had close contact with an infected pet (ie .. housing a sick animal) to another person (in this case unexpecting clients) the disease spreads like wildfire. Everytime said employee touched ANYTHING in the store ... parvo is left behind. When the employee (a minor child by the way) expressed his consern for transmitting the disease to clients pets he was told a) It could not happen, the Vet was lying. And b) You should stop wasting your money going to the vet for treatment. This is how people who care for pets think???? I needed puppy milk for 2 day old pups today ... and although I have always supported this establishment, I will gladly pay more for my purchase. I wont step foot anywhere near the place for fear of my pets health. Be careful guys ... and if you suspect illness in your pet ... RUSH TO A VET. Never accept medical advice from a pet store ... they obviously never made it through vet school!

I love going to Greenwood, but I always feel a little icky about it. The fish are not healthy or well cared-for, and it shows. A lot. They have the best selection and prices in the metro area on rocks and driftwood for aquariums thought, and I no longer buy those things anywhere else, Greenwood is just far and away the best for aquarium hardscaping. Their plants are ok too. They have a huge selection of fish, but I very rarely buy fish from them, and when I have, Ive been very careful about isolating them. Just too funky for me. And too many practices of which I cannot approve and dont like being a party to, like selling dogs/cats in a store setting and selling painted glassfish and dyed mollies. And the smell is...interesting. I keep going back, because its a fascinating place and because of their great prices and selection on the rocks and wood, but Id spend a lot more money there if they cleaned up their act a bit. And their store.

I had a beautiful Moluccan Cockatoo that I had to sell, due to the fact that I live in a small apartment and we have two kids in the home. My boyfriend recommended that I sell him. I still cry every day due to the fact that I miss him so much. The owner offered me $1000.00 for my bird and his cage. He only gave me $500.00 and promised to give me the remainder very soon. I had the agreement written out and signed by one of the other managers. I have left over 20 messages. No one has called me back. The owner lied to me. Now I dont have my bird anymore and he cheated me out of $500.00. I guess its time for small claims court. This is a terrible place to buisness with. I am concerned about my birds safty, because the store is kept unclean. I recommend not to sell or purchase anything from Greenwood Pets and Plants. I miss my bird.

With a bran new management and team. This place, (that I use to go when I was a kid. And for a short time worked there. When I was a teen.) Is looking good. With good customer service. Cant wait till their finished with the snake exhibit. I always get what I need. Im glad to see Greenwood still up and running. Hopefully with this new turn around. Their business will only get better. Inside the store, has a beautiful front. The fish aquarium side, took a lot of work. But still improving. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Glad to see this long time pet store getting a bran new look. And the right treatment, that a business deserves.

Remember reputable breeders do not work with pet stores. Buyer beware. This place smelled horrible and the place was a complete mess. There were animal cages sitting in strange places and no one was around. I was there for 10 mins and didnt see anyone. It was dark, not clean and looked unsafe for the animals. The bird cages were horrible. Once someone did see us, they decided to start cleaning the puppy cages. Something is not right about this store.

Great selection of fish but poor poor poor poor condition. I bought a flowerhorn from there like 6 month ago at 2" and i went back there today to check out if they got any left and MAN I feel sorry for the fish there the same batch of flowerhorn was still 2"-3" only and I ask the owner there and he say that they "rarely feed it and there to many in one tank and stress" I was WOW my like 5" inch and super red. wish it was in better condition

The new owner is awesome, the store is spotless and looks phenomenal. They are bringing the place back to what it was in its hay day. Fish and animals are healthy and clean, well cared for and well fed. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, definitely recommend giving this place another chance. The fish I bought recently are gorgeous and thriving. Definitely a 5 star establishment once again thanks to the new owner and his staff.

Used to be the best pet store around but unfortunately it has gone down hill. The fish tanks are filthy the whole store has a terrible smell. I will not buy fish here because of there living conditions. The store is unorganized the cant find any supplies because there all laying on the floor it is a disaster. It is not to the point of no return but I hope they turn this place around before it is to late.

I have seen this place looking pretty bad. The reptiles look neglected and dirty. I have known a few people who have worked there and they have told me of numerous animal deaths there from improper care and poor conditions. People who dont know reptiles, should not carry reptiles. I would buy all their reptiles just to get them out of there if I could afford to.

I met Fadi the new owner today, He has/is completely remodeling the place. Has removed TONS of trash and is on a path of a great transformation. I have seen the changes in this place for over 30 years! Finally someone that has a great vision to restore and get it back to what it was many years ago. Wish him the best of luck and he will have my business!

By far the greatest pet store i have ever been too! I have a ton of pets and greenwoods is super helpful for all my pet needs! I recently bought a fish tank and slowly have been starting it and greenwoods has just what I need and the coolest fish! I recommend this place for all pet needs thank you for the great customer service

Under New Management & the place is Great!!!!! Very Clean!!!! Very informative staff!!! I spoke with Jordan who not only told me all about the animals & fish also let me kno that the whole place is getting a makeover!!!!! Whats been done so far is so amazing & I cant Wait till everything is done to see how Great itll be!!!!
