I just dont understand these general Pet Stores. Yes, they have good selection and yes I do shop here for my dogs food out of convenience (location). However, the prices are always high (try K9 Specialties on Mound Road- often HALF the price on bones and treats compared to general pet stores). And Im always amazed at how much the staff seems to lack basic dog knowledge (ex: recognizing a scared dog at checkout and then bending over the counter in attempt to give it a treat? That is a "no no" Dog Knowledge 101). Training is a bit naive as well- works for easy to manage dogs but Ive had a lot of my clients at the animal hospital say their training falls apart once they get outside the store. Good for basic stuff.

Took my dog to be groomed there yesterday - it was a chaotic mess! This was the second time we have taken him there, the first time was great but after yesterday we wont be back. First of all I made an appointment but when I got there I was greeted with "we are really busy". Second it was filthy, hair everywhere in piles and they would leave a dog unattended on a table and walk away. Third when I got there to pick him up they acted like they had never seen me and said "we are so busy, I havent even had a break today". Fourth the grooming job was horrible. I could have done a better job at home.

I was watching the groomers while waiting in line to buy pet food. This one older woman was grooming a very small 2-3 pound puppy, the puppy was very active and instead of asking for another groomer to help calm and hold the puppy she just kept at it while the puppy was hanging from the thing around the neck. I was so angry, and, wanted to report her or wait for the owner to come in to tell them. Its funny how I have seen most of their groomers start out as cashiers, I wonder if they even are certified? That groomer should be fired! I would not take any animals to be groomed there.

I took my puppy here to get groomed and spent 33$ on basically a crappy bath and nail trim. When I picked up my dog he was still damp and they informed me they could not nail grind him because he was nipping at him. Totally understandable but I was expecting a refund or credit due to spending extra to get that done. They also stated when I got there they could not do any hair trimming because no groomers where there at that time...why are you working there if your not a groomer??? Or why isnt there one on staff? Im just so upset and confused on what actually got done.

The prices on some items are over priced compared to some other pet stores. For instance, The Nylabones Edibles are $8.99 at Petsmart but are $6.50 at Petco. I end up going to both stores many times to get the best deals. It would be nice to only go to one store for all my pet needs since I spend over $100 every week for my pet products.

Great selection, especially on specialty brands of dog and catfood like all natural stuff. I needed kitten milk to try and bottle fees one. Not a usual item but they had it. Price wasnt all that but where else can you find it lol! Awesome assortment of collars toys playhouses and everything else u can imagine for pets.

It is pretty good for a petsmart I bough a healthy baby bearded dragon a few weeks ago but I asked the lady about bearded dragons she did not no anything and sounded like a idiot then I asked for 60 small crickets and she gave me 6 like a dummy . It is pretty good for dog cuts my dog always gets a good haircut.

Didnt have pet meds that my dog needed. Employee suggested trying to buy over the counter from their vet inside. The vet wouldnt sell me the standard non prescription meds without an appointment. So $15 turns to $150. I will never waste my time again with petsmart

Emily did a fabulous job on my dogs grooming. She found a hot spot from allergies and gave him a bath with anti-itch shampoo. Hes got an upcoming surgery, so she shaved around the area so that it wouldnt be as noticeable. Emily will be Widgets permanent groomer!

Its always good been shopping there for at least 10 years never had a problem finding the products I need. Cashiers and workers very friendly.Love my petperks card. Thanks adopted my boy Duke at pet smart with the help of Michigan Humane Society.

This place is okay I dont like that everybody brings their dog to the store and they just let their dog walk up to you and put their nose on your leg and lick you and stuff I mean I dont mind dogs but I dont want somebodys dog touching me

I swear I just checked the times for this store last week and the hours were until 8 pm on Sunday? Today I need to go there and guess what now they are closed at 6 pm. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Is it just me? Or did their hours change recently?

Great place for pet supplies. Banfield vet is here also and has,good,insurance program for your dog. Price and vet service health care for pet is great. Highly recommended. I have used Banfield and Pet Smart here for several yeard.

Their online prices are cheaper for ALMOST all items, and they will price match! So just find what you want in the store, search for it on their website and show the cashier! Saved me $20 on flea prevention!

Great staff, put my dog of 12 years down today. As very sad as I am, the staff did everything in there power to treat my dog like she was the only dog in the world. I thank you so much for that. Thank You

The store was clean and staff was friendly, no complaints here. PetSmart is always over priced but they have good clearance baskets where you can get a variety of pet supplies for ridiculously cheap.

I rented a carpet cleaner from there and just found out that it can take up to two weeks to get my deposit back. It would have been helpful to know this before I rented it. Its very disappointing.

Staff knows me there, they are always so nice. If I cant reach something there is always someone close by to help. They even take the stuff to my car for me. Not too many places do that anymore.

Staff is very helpful in trying to locate an item. If you need help, theyll even help you by putting heavy boxes of cat litter or cases of food.
