I walked in to the West Chester location, near closing time of course, knowing absolutely nothing about cycling except that I wanted to buy a bicycle after spinning indoors for 1.5 years. Porter and Matt were extremely helpful and very patient with me! I was pretty intimidated about walking into a bike store and knowing nothing but wanting to get some serious equipment. They explained everything, gave me confidence to test different types of cycles, and helped me pick the perfect bicycle and accessories. I have returned twice for more gear, help, and a custom fitting with Matt. Montgomery Cyclery truly has the best customer service and experienced knowledge a person could ask for! I bought my cycle on a Wednesday and joined my first group ride 3 days later thanks to the confidence and guidance I received from Matt and Porter!!! I highly recommend Montgomery Cyclery for riders of all levels!

Getting healthy and bought a bike in April during their spring sale. Rode it for a few weeks and decided I needed a better bike. Went back to the store. They allowed me to return the bike and upgrade. They took a lot of time to ensure the bike fit well... and even customized the seat and handlebars. But the reason Im taking the time to write this review is the tiny little details I didnt even realize they did until yesterday. When I took my first bike in for the upgrade, I left all the accessories like bike pump, tool kit on the first bike. These guys took apart the tool kit and restocked it with the right tools/items for the new bike. Holy Moly! Was I thrilled to discover that yesterday! Kudos to Don the manager and his staff. Buy your bike from these guys.

The West Chester location is my favorite of all the stores in the MC family. The mechanics and manager are excellent at this location. Ive been helped with everything from emergency repairs, special ordering parts, community classes, to teaching me how to build wheels on a slow day in the shop. I generally do my own builds and service, but I dont hesitate to bring my bikes here if I need help or a turnaround faster than I can do myself. As a local chain Montgomery Cyclery is alright, theyre competent at servicing what they sell and stock more inventory than anywhere else locally. Theyre probably not the best at any one thing, but theyve always been friendly, helpful, and willing to make things work.

Went in to get a new bike, wasnt sure what kind I wanted. Staff was very rude and didnt really want to answer any of my questions, just wanted to tell me what they want to tell me. I left and went to Baxters Fast Wheels. He got me the EXACT bike I didnt even know I was looking for, set it up for me, even added a couple things for free!! He even helped me find what I wanted BELOW what it showed on the website. As far as Im concerned, this is the ONLY bike shop in the city.

Saturday afternoon at 1 o clock took my bike in to get back wheel trued. 1 other customer in the store 2 guys leaning on the tool boxes and I was told they couldnt do it. IT WOULD TAKE A WEEK interesting business concept a bike shop that cant perform a 10 or 15 min procedure while you wait with everyone standing around.

Simply, these guys are paid by commission. I raced 15 years, and they tried to sell me an inferior product st a high price. I will never step foot in there again.

Full service bicycle shop friendly staff bicycle shops are all expensive since they have a lot of over head but this one competes well

OVERPRICED! Kyle never returned calls as promised in store. A waste of my time at this location.
