I walked in and was greeted in a reasonable amount of time. I asked about the price range for a commuter style bike, and hinted that I was looking for a sale bike. The sales person immediately pointed towards a bike in the window and told me it was the cheapest bike they had, which wasnt exactly what I had in mind. I was there to get the best ride for my money, not just a low priced bike. I then asked if a discount was offered to military service members at this location, not too many places do offer one so I wasnt expecting it. He said no then went on to explain that they were in business to make a profit and a living. I laughed off the smug comment and said I was in the business of keeping as much of my money as I could and still enjoy life. I thanked him for his time and left. The next day I went over to Team Cycling & Fitness on Colerain Ave, started the same conversation and was received very well. The staff there was very helpful and patient, considering it was almost closing time. I spent over $900. on a Trek and they threw in a rack and some fenders. Needless to say, Ill be back soon to purchase a bike for my wife and four daughters, ages 5 to 12. The moral of the story, just a little kindness can go a long way for your business of making of profit.

I have been a customer of Oakley Cycles for years. I have also shopped other bike shops in the area, but I am convinced there is no better shop in town than Oakley. I tend to buy hard to find components and gear, and David has always done a great job of sourcing these items for me at a reasonable cost. While I have purchased frames elsewhere (simply because I wanted a frame Oakley doesnt carry) they have always been willing to work on and service my bikes. Another point is that Oakley Cycles is a great advocate for cycling in our area, and Kathy actually founded the Sunflower Revolution and was instrumental in developing the Davis Phinney Foundation. If you want a quality product and superior service look no further you will find them at Oakley

I could speak mountains on the knowledge that Kathy, David, and staff have here. As a 30 year old (yes 30) that is just learning to ride their knowledge and courtesy is amazing. They dont talk down to anyone who is not well versed or experienced with cycling nor do they treat you like you are below anyone. I trust that this is an amazing place to buy, rent, repair, or any other need you may have in the world of two wheel adventures. They encourage and want you to put your best feet forward. If you have any questions or concerns they are quick to help and guide you in the right direction. I would gladly recommend them to anyone or any need regarding their new or old cycling lifestyle. Thank you all so much!

David is the only mechanic in this area that can get my biked tuned up the way I like it. I have tried many other local shops, not to say they were poor quality, but not to the level I have found at Oakley. Kathy also does a great job at getting you set up on the bike properly, taking into account your fitness level, goals, flexibility, etc. My physical therapist actually recommended that I get my fit from her for this reason. I would highly recommend this shop to any level athlete.

I will preface this review that I have very little experience with the employees, almost all of my dealings have been directly with the owners, David and Kathy. They are two of the best bike people in town, extremely helpful, friendly. They do cater to a higher end clientele, but are extremely approachable. Kathy in particular is fantastic with new riders. Her fitting skills are second to none.

I got back into cycling after a number of years off the bike. They were extremely helpful picking out a bike and fitting it properly. The service is always prompt and things are mechanically sound. I had a new drive train to put on my frame and I expected the turn around to be a week. I had it back later that day! Ive referred a number of friends and theyve had similar experiences.

I took my mountain bike in for a tune up and was greeted in fair time, but after the greeting I stood in there for 20 minutes unspoken to after the mechanic told me he would be with me. Worst service I have ever received ANYWHERE. Theyre stuck up and unwiling to provide the services promised. Dont waste your time at this shop.

I worked with Kathy this summer on a bike fit after having problems with lower back pain. Not only did she solve my problems, but the new position has given me more power and confidence. I highly recommend Oakley Cycles to anyone serious about cycling.

David was super helpful in trying to find a bike for me. He took the time to talk to Trek and look at other dealership options. Other shops I tried to contact never even bothered to return my calls or emails. Kudos.

Great shop, good community partner, personal service. We have been customers since 1996 and have purchased many bikes and service our fleet there. Lots of seminars for nutrition, training and bike education.

Went in for a repair to my stroller tire. They fixed the inner tube while I waited, no appointment, no fuss. Service was excellent!
