Horrible Delivery Service! I was told that the delivery truck will arrive between 4:30pm and 6:30pm on 5/6/2016. So, I made an appointment (doctors) with someone else for 7:30pm. Hoping that even if they arrive by 6:30, I should be able to make an appointment that is 1 hour later. And I had asked that I should be notified by phone call 2 hours prior to my delivery time. Everything was fine till 4:45pm. At that time, I called up my local store to know about the delivery status. They got my contact details and told me that the delivery is running late and they will get to my place by 8 or 8:30. On this, I told them I will not be at home at that time as I have prior scheduled appointments and I will not be available anytime before Monday. They told me that they will contact the delivery and get back to me as soon as possible to see what can be done. I waited till 6:00pm for their call. AT 6:00pm I tried calling them again and they will not pick up my call. I called them up 10-15 times and they will not answer my phone. After that, I got hold of one of my friends phone and called them up and to my surprise they picked up that call. So, when I confronted them asking why are they avoiding my phone call, they put me on hold. I was on hold for almost half hour, after which I gave up and I looked up the 888 number on the value city website and called them up. I was again put on hold for extended times with intermittent information from the representative that they are trying to contact the local store and even they are not able to contact the store. At 7:20, I hung up the call with the 888 number as well as it was too late for me and got ready to make my 7:30 appointment. As I was locking up my front door and walking away, I saw a guy with Value City T-shirt and I talked to him and he told me he was there for my delivery. Almost an hour after the promised delivery window and with no notification call! When I asked him about the notification, he said that his phone battery died. I asked him how much time will it take for him to set the furniture up. He said 10 mins. So, I asked him to do it fast as I have appointment with someone else that I need to make. I had to call up to extend my next appointment because that is something a civilized person does! Truly, horrible delivery experience! I would never recommend anybody to buy from you guys! Even if they do, I would ask them to arrange for their own delivery as your delivery sucks big time!

I will never return to this store or any Value City Furniture. I am very disappointed at the process of delivering my furniture. When my initial delivery was made, my entire purchase was not delivered without advanced notice. When my delivery was made, the furniture wasnt properly installed as both the delivery men and I thought a part was missing. Both pieces delivered also did not get the feet installed so the bottom drawers of my dresser and night stand were not usable. I had to take a second day off of work. I also got a call that my delivery was going to take place on a date and time that was not given to me when I made the call for the 2nd delivery and had to call to make sure they would come the day I took off of work. The window of my delivery today was supposed to be between 2 and 4. I waited the window of time they said it would be delivered and 10 minutes after that was over, I called the 888 customer care line. The nice woman I spoke with made contact with the store and found out the deliveries were running an hour late. I told her that I do not have to wait for them and that I dont understand why they would not contact the consumer if that were the case. So after talking with her and her talking with the store, I have been on the phone for a half hour and am late for a previous commitment and decided to return my purchase. I will now have to wait another window of time for them to pick up the furniture. This has been a huge inconvenience and I will no longer consider this store or recommend them to anyone.

Worst service ever. I came to the store for my initial purchase and no one greeted me for 15 minutes. After my mother told a sales person we had not been waited on she apologized and took my order for a faux leather daybed and twin mattress. Today I get my delivery and the mattress is for a full size bed. After haggling with customer service on the delivery of the correct mattress I agree to allow the delivery men to put the day bed together. When they took it out of the packaging the material on the bed was ripped. I refused to sign for it and had them put it back on the truck. I call the store to cancel the order and ask when I can expect a refund and they tell me 3-5 business days. I ask when they will start the refund process and the young lady in customer service explains to me it will happen when the truck get backs from delivery so anytime. I go to the store and ask if I can have in writing that they will start the refund process when their trucks get back with my refused purchase and they refuse. The one young lady was pleasant enough but it was not until I threatened to have my bank dispute the charges that they were willing to even agree in writing to begin the refund when the trucks came back with the defective product. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. I went against my better judgement and gave this place my money when I was given poor service from the beginning. Do not waste your time with this store.

Worst experience of my life. Bought a couch and dining room table. The delivery guys just dumped the stuff in our garage after my girlfriend explained she was away and would be back soon but they were welcome to come inside to setup. A chair came with a hole inside of it. The delivery guys DID NOT call ahead or ever leave a voicemail. The table had some cheap plastic washers and one cracked while I was tightening a screw so now my "new" table has an obvious defect. The store refused to give any courtesy discount (50 bucks wouldve been fine) and called my girlfriend a liar by saying she acknowledged they could leave everything in the garage. I asked for a screenshot of the guys call log and they refused to provide it. Worst experience ever.. if you buy from this store, good luck. Customer service is HORRIBLE; called over the phone and was cut off multiple times before I could even explain my situation. Very hostile phone reps, bad business. Period.

The Worst EVER!!!! Sales Reps are mostly wonderful when a potential customer is in the store - smiling and pleasant. The problem(s) occur AFTER the deal is done!!!! The delivery process is HORRRRRIBBBLLLEE and loooonnnggg! We received our bedroom set with the dresser and mirror damaged and scratched up. Had the delivery driver return it to the store..... Three weeks later....... we still do not have a dresser and mirror!!! The delivery driver came out today with "replacement dresser and mirror" and it was the SAME freaking damaged furniture from before, plus a totally different set that he tried to give us!!!!! O M GGGGGG!!!!! We did receive a refund for the initial delivery, but this crap is outrageous!!! Called the Store Manager, who previously informed us that she would "make sure the right set is on the truck" and she states that OUR set is still in the store!!! What in the actual _____!!!!! You cant make this crap up!
