Let me start by saying if I didnt like the particular car I purchased as much as I do, I would have never purchased it here. I went in on a Monday evening to look at the car. Chris K. was good to chat with. I decided that I liked the car and wanted to talk numbers. They presented me with payments that assumed insane interest rates despite the fact that I have excellent credit. When I asked Chris about the rates that were being assumed, he could not tell me what they were. He kept saying they would have to "submit" it for me to get a rate. More on that later... The price on the car was good, but the interest rates were so insane that I could not justify paying their asking price if I were to finance through Serpentini. I pushed on asking about the interest rates and I kept getting nonsense like "dont worry about the interest rate, if you like the car, the interest rate will work itself out." Ok, so Serpentinis interest rates were not competitive. We moved on to talking about trade in. They offered me several thousand below what the KBB trade in value was for my car in FAIR condition. Granted, my car was in need of a detail, but otherwise, cosmetically and mechanically, was in good to excellent condition. The combination of the insane interest rates and the lowball trade in offer was enough to make me walk despite having made a two hour drive there. I called my bank the next day and got an excellent rate, so I decided to follow up with Chris to talk about the car. After speaking to him and telling him that I was going to finance through my bank, he told me that if I financed through Serpentini, I could get a better rate. I asked him what the rate would be, and he couldnt tell me. I decided to go with my bank because I didnt want to deal with the Serpentini run around. I got a message from Nate in finance about better rates, and I gave him a call back. The rates were in fact better than what my bank was offering me. I told him that I would go with those rates if there were no additional hard inquiries made on my credit report. He said there would not be any additional inquiries made and that I was pre-approved for these rates. Pre-approved? Just one day ago, I was told that no one at Serpentini could tell me the rates I qualified for. Annoyingly, a week after purchasing the car, I looked at my credit report, and there were two inquiries made related to the car financing after I decided to go with financing through Serpentini. Finally, the day to pick up the car arrived. I made the drive up from Columbus and sat down to do paperwork. I felt that the gentleman in finance was very push with extras, i.e., warranties, tire hazard insurance, etc. I was annoyed about being questioned about whether I was not interested in these extras because I could not afford them. A dealer that does the volume of Serpentini should be above sales tactics like that. There was some confusion about how much I would be putting down, and when I asked to increase the amount I would be putting down that day, I got some pushback from him. He said he told people to include the extra they wanted to put down with their first payment. Why would he tell people to do that? Why would people interest on a larger balance when they can just pay more now? After the paperwork was completed, I had to wait forever to get my keys. My salesman was too busy to come over and chat after the transaction had been completed. He came to shake my hand and thank me for my business, and that was about it. After he walked away, I waited 15 or so minutes until another gentleman gave me my keys, and off I went. A final note: The Carfax report for this vehicle showed that Serpentini had replaced the windshield on this vehicle. When I took it into the dealership to have some warranty work done, I was told that the windshield was replaced with a non-OEM windshield, and as a result, the rain sensing wiper feature would not work. This is something I wish Serpentini would have disclosed.

I rate Serpentini Chevy’s service department one out of five stars. When I was under warranty they had customer service cards stating “If you can not rate our service 5 stars, then talk to us” - more or less just coercing people to rate them five star to appease Chevy and make for good advertising. I received no customer service card today after paying for services - and no car wash either as I also once did - so I am submitting mine here... This began when I went into Serpentini Chevy to have my tires looked at while I was under warranty after having had a few issues with them mainly just having to refill them frequently. After speaking to the service department they scheduled me in for an appointment. I went in and upon entering the service area was told that the air leaks are most likely from the cold weather - everyone is having the problem and I don’t need to be seen - so I left. The problem didn’t go away after the weather got warm and I eventually took it into another place since I felt kinda dumb being told the issue was apparently so common everyone but me knew... The tire place said they found no holes or apparent leaking. Months later and after having to refill my tires more frequently, I was told by another tire place I needed my tires resealed which they said vehicles with aluminum wheels often lose their seal. Since I had stopped in to Serpentini while I was still under warranty I figured I’d go back to see what they could do. Although this had been quite a bit of time afterwards, being that this I had been dealing with refilling as it was a minor nuisance and after having to take off work to get in for an appointment, I waited until I wasnt so busy. Today I went in for my appointment and also had them look at a transmission leak and a clunking noise. After paying them look they said the clunking noise is two broken front stabilizer links from corrosion and two transmission cooler lines are leaking - mind you I bought my vehicle new in 2011 and have approx. 40,000 miles on it (!?). And no leaks were detected on my tires. They recommended I get my tires reset and resealed and replacing the broken parts - they estimated at nearly $1,000. I discussed the previous visit mentioned above and was told they didnt have that in their system and I was not only out of warranty but so far away from it there was nothing they could do. Apparently they had other times I stopped in and received service but nothing for that visit. Needless to say, I was upset. I left not getting anything done. To my surprise they also did not wash my car as they always had in the past when they were getting my warranty work. I am no longer interested in doing business with Serpentini. Wasting people’s time and arguing over service work, that was requested when it was under warranty without being completed, is far from any kind of customer service and actually rather sad.

My husband and I purchased a Chevy Traverse from Ganley in Akron (great place). The front grill had a small crack that they gave us a "WE OWE YOU" receipt for and told us if we went to any Chevy dealership they could order it for us and fix it and Ganley would pay the bill. So we took it to Serpentini in Strongsville. 1st off let me say, we had been here before to look for our new car. We told the salesman specifics in what we wanted and AWD was number one on our list. After about an hour we thought we had found "the one". As my husband was talking with the dealer and setting things up he learns that its a FWD. Okay, thanks for the waste of time. Now, that isnt even the beginning! We took our Traverse in to get the front grill ordered and replaced. They lost my paperwork about 4 times! They were supposed to call Ganley and talk to the manager there. Well the guy at Serpentini lied to me and said "Sorry, I have tried calling him and he hasnt called me back". This was right after I got upset about them losing my paperwork and the process taking so long. Well I call Ganley thingking it was their fault and they apologized and said they NEVER EVER received any phone called from anyone at Serpentini (I definitly believe Ganley). So FINALLY about 2 months after this whole mess started I am on the phone with Serpentini trying to schedule the car to come in. The guy in the service dept says "when do you want to come in" and when I told him "tomorrow or the next day" he said "wait are you paying for this or..?" I said "No,Ganley in Akron." amd he said "Oh, yeah sorry we cant help you until next week".. UGH! So, then I finally get it in the following week and when we drive it home the check engine light comes on as well as the traction control, which we had never had problems with in the past! I couldnt believe it! So we took the car to Spitzer and it took them about 10 minutes. They said that the problem was an easy fix. Whoever had it last unplugged the electrical that caused those lights to come on. They didnt charge us anything, washed our car and we will go back to SPITZER in Macedonia next time! I cant believe those jerks at Serpentini are still in business. We will never be back there and will tell everytone we know not to! P. S. When I walked into serpentini with my baby there were about 10 guys sitting/standing around the service desk staring at me. Not 1 said hello! So rude.. and about 20 seconds later a guy finally asked me if I needed help.
