I have gone to this store since it opened for a few years now. I really try to support local businesses; especially ones like this that some day may be driven out by those that hate and fear firearms. No really bad to great stories and experiences either way. I guess it is reasonable in some ways such as a nice store front. They also reluctantly matched an advertised price on a long gun from another local store which is reasonable. On the negative side they seen a bit pricey for everything and they do not have much of a selection (especially in accessories and ammo); and I go away more empty handed than not, and have to seek out other businesses, (often far away or over the Internet). I always call first now to check their inventory before going; otherwise you may waste your time and a trip.

I usually buy to buy online, but when I have to go local this is where I go and there are at least 4 stores closer to me. John Peabody is very honest with customers and keeps his store clean. Most of the gun shops have JUNK lying around, totally disorganized, and poorly lit. Peabodys looks like any normal boutique store. His prices arent as low as what you will find online or at Walmart IF they carry what you want, but no more expensive than any other small local shop and usually cheaper. The only negative I will say is they dont do e-mail well. I have sent several inquiries by e-mail when they are closed and never received a reply to any of them. Just call or stop in and you wont be disappointed.

Nice shop. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable folks. There were a few young customers there when I was making a small purchase recently. It was obvious that they had little knowledge of firearms and were probably trying to make an "impulse" buy. The gentleman behind the counter politely and very tactfully declined to sell them a firearm, suggesting that they learn about firearms and consider matters more carefully before purchasing. Now this is the type of business and salesmen that you want in your community and which we should support with our business. I know that I will.

This is a fantastic gun shop that I would recommend to any firearms enthusiast. The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly, and the selection never disappoints. In the event that youre looking for something specific, they will order for you with quick turnaround and at very reasonable prices. Undoubtedly the best customer service Ive received at any of the area gun shops. If you havent checked out Peabody Sports, then I highly recommend that you do.

its a small small shop, with a bunch of junk laying around. I tried to sell a couple of guns. Owner was focused on "did you get this from a big boxed store"? and told me theres no history on these. I sold them immediately at a more reputable shop. Try not to notice the copyright infringement concerning the cartoon character on their logo. Im sure the creator wanted their creation to be associated with weapons.

Knowledgeable, sincere & friendly with reasonable prices. Ive been doing business with Peabody since they first opened (then in Kettering) & though they are a little more distance for me to drive to now since their move--they are worth it! Be sure to check their days & hours then visit them. Peabody has the experience that definitely translates to above-average advice. Ill be back again! :-)

They were friendly but seemed to be your normal Glock people. I like a larger selection when I shop around and dont stick to one maker if I can find something new and interesting. I hope to see them expand out into the 1911s more or maybe hire a Gunsmith who can do trigger jobs and such on 1911s. Nice people but something was just missing.

I have a love/hate with this place. I really want to like it because I pass it everyday but I am done. Last time I was there, one of the employees pulled out his concealed Colt new agent and casually pointed it at me to show me the holster wear from 6 months or whatever of carry. NOT COOL.

Great experience. Used their concierge service to get two suppressors and a few hard to get rifles. One of the few shops my wife doesnt complain about when she has to go in.
