April 29th took my mother starting to suffer memory loss from inherited alzheimers disease, couch shopping to 6 furniture stores. Despite the fact we went here first, and she had found one she kinda liked, wanted to make certain she didnt buy the first one she saw at the first place we went. We ended up back here at end of afternoon, and ordered that same couch she liked earlier in the day. The salesman sent us to the manager to fill out paperwork. Paid $899 in full, with none in stock , she had choice of purchasing demo floor model or waiting 4-6 weeks, she decided to wait. 3 weeks later, delivery men came to her house with wrong couch. Delivery men called the office, they didnt know what happened, provided no explanation to her, other than to tell her to drive back up there to find out. When she arrived, her salesmans was off that day, a male manager walked her around, she was unsure if couch on the floor was the one she had picked out - no surprise. So the manager told her to come back again the next day when her salesman would be there to identify it. She contacted me upset that this was handled poorly. I then called and spoke to the manager, (who was very rude by the way), tried to push the blame onto her, the customer, by saying that she couldnt even identify the correct couch. Finally admitting that the couch delivered, was somehow ordered wrong, but declined to say by him or the salesman. When there is a problemhere at Basista Furniture, noone cares here, because noone calls you with an explanation, YOU need to call them, even IF you are 71 years old with Alzheimers.

We purchased an entertainment center from basista a few years back, last night my dog went by it and must have gotten his collar stuck, (not so sure) anyway there was no struggle or anything, the bottom short door on the entertainment center broke off, even splintering a bit, I first called the manufacture (Eagle Industries) they told me I would have to contact the store I bought the furniture from, I then called basista and explained what had happened, the first lady I spoke with said she would check into it and see if it was still under a warranty if it was she would then have someone come to my house to fix it, this would cost me THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS, just for the repairman to come to my house. My husband said well they are just up the street I will just take the door off and take it up to them to fix. We spent close to, if not over $1000.00 on this piece of furniture. In the meantime we got a phone call from Rick and I explained that we would bring the door up to him, he said alright and that he would see what could be done, when we got there he told my husband that they no longer could get the piece of furniture and that they would not be able to do anything for it.....now I am stuck with a hole right in the middle of my entertainment center unless I find someone that can help me. Needless to say I WILL NOT BE ORDERING ANYTHING through this company again, as I am sure they do not need repeat customers with that kind of treatment!!!! A VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER, Lisa White

Weve twice ordered furniture through Basista--a Stanley bedroom set and a Hooker entertainment center. The furniture was forty percent less expensive than anywhere else. No one has a better price than Hooker. The furniture was also delivered within two weeks when other companies said delivery might take six weeks. Seven years ago when we ordered the bedroom set, the wonderful delivery men identified a slight flaw on the door of the dresser. A replacement dresser was delivered within two weeks. The control module on the Hooker lift-up entertainment center has a persistent hum, but it has been difficult to obtain a replacement motor. Some of the problem probably relates to the manufacturer, not Basista. The furniture is now made in China, so it takes forever to get replacement parts. Joseph at Basista is quite friendly and approachable. I remain hopeful that my problem will be resolved. I also notified Hooker of my problems, but Hooker has been less than helpful. I would definitely order from Basista again. Chris B.

I cant say enough great things about Tom and his staff at Basista. I have shopped there several times and was very pleased until now. We purchased a Flexsteel sofa from them and had them come out two times already to repair. This is not their fault. I have tried on several occasions to get in contact with Flexsteel and there response is "Contact the retailer" I think that is horrible they (Flexsteel) does not stand by there product. In any event Tom went above and beyond both times to get this sofa fixed again. The second time was a N/C which was good because we were having second thoughts about paying for another repair. (We already paid over 1500.00 for the couch 3 yrs ago and paid for them to come out last time) So I think Basista did the right thing this last time and I will definitely be back again and recommend them to anyone to shop there for furniture. But beware.... stay away from Flexsteel. Thanks Tom and all your employees.

A senior in college I came in after working a twelve hour shift and then doing a final. I walked in in sweatpants with a friend of mine who had also gotten out of work- roofing so he was a little dusty as well. ALL I was doing was picking up a pre paid mattress and frame. When I walked in no one looked at me or acknowledged me for close to 5 minutes and when they finally did after I had to basically demand attention the associate who handled it was very rude. Im sorry with my pending degree at a top notch college I didnt exactly look like I had the money to spend. Flash forward now Im going to go buy a complete bedroom set, and maybe even a dining set and a couch depending on what I find- and Ill be getting it from the other guy because these folks have no clue what it means to provide customer service. The service you give cultivates the business tomorrow. Retail 101. Duh

Were NOT going back to Basista Furniture any time soon. We didnt even get a chance to look at all of the furniture or even think about ordering anything and let me tell you why.....If you plan on going there with a stroller or in a wheel chair, youre wasting your time as this store does NOT accommodate those with an infant or a handicap. Its impossible to maneuver through any of the aisles and obviously up any stairs if youre in my situation. They make no apology for their setup and obviously arent willing to change any time soon. This is our second bad experience there and we wont be going back. I hope theyre happy because they lost a sale and any future business from me as well as my family. We ended up at Levin Furniture where you can maneuver a stroller pretty easily, which made our choice for a furniture store that much easier!!

Horrible service. They simply do not care at all. I ordered a recliner and was told it would take 2-3 weeks to deliver. After 4 I called the store to see what was happening. I was told the material I selected had some sort of issue at the mill and they no longer had any expected delivery date. Nobody contacted me about this. I then asked what were they going to do about this. I was told I could come back in and select a new material, wait another 2-3 weeks and hopefully this time it would be available. All they did was try to pass the buck, this person should have contacted you, its not our fault it was the mill, etc. There was no attempt at all on their end to make it right, they simply do not care. I demanded a refund and was given one. I would highly recommend going elsewhere, customers are not important to them.
