Standard, run-of-the-mill, arrogant, down-talking gun store employees... I was the young guy that came in today wearing an orange shirt and blue shorts (I guess I didnt fit the profile of their typical customer) - I walked in and asked the guy behind the counter if they gave price quotes for firearms ordered through the store - his only answer was "Did you check google?". Id prefer to support the local, mom-and-pop gun stores over big internet chains but this guys main sales pitch was the equivalent of "Did you check our competitors? You should really check with them first!". The rest of the interaction was a similar string of very short answers - anything to try disinterest me in working with the store... dont worry, I wont be bothering you in the future. However, I went to Ready Line immediately afterwards and was met with FAR BETTER customer service... theyll be getting my immediate $1500+ worth of business for an M1A, plus future ammo/gun purchases.

A really nice "old time" gunshop. Owner sits behinds the counter, and welcomes everyone in the door. Does not bug you, and answers questions. has a decent representation of guns, and a few out of the norm guns. Not a volume dealer by any means, but enough inventory to make it worth a trip to once a month. Found a rare single shot 20ga, that I really wanted for my son, just sitting on the used rack, transaction went smooth, and the owner thru in a gunsock with it. Will make it a point to buy there again.

Ron Runs a Nice shop. Very knowledgeable, like already posted. its a very excentric place to look around. He carries regular run of the mill handguns and shotguns, but it gets very cool when you browse his selection of old military rifles and custom arms. Hes closed on Wednesdays. I reciently did an FFL transfer through him, and it was painless and extremely easy. Ask him anything, hed be happy to chat you up for awhile.

Went in there READY to buy a handgun (Glock or XD). The guy behind the counter was more interested in taking personal phone calls. No suggestions, no help, nothing. Asked to see a Glock 30. Pulled it out for me and went back to his stool. Prices were high. Went back to Target World 3 times and spent hours there only because they were actually helpful. Unfortunate, wanted to help out the local business.

The Old Milford Gun Shop is a nice little place, with a very friendly staff and have been very helpful and knowledgeable. They are willing to put a product on lay-a-way for you, and have a great selection of older C&R or collector grade historical pieces.

Ron is ol school. He knows his stuff and is open to haggling on prices. If youre a young crybaby looking for the latest gun from the video game you play, go elsewhere. You will likely find him not to your liking. Great shop, market prices.
