When deciding who to use to install a new Kentucky board fence, timeliness was ahead of price on my priority list. I was told by the salesman when he came out (8 days after I called) that the fence could be installed in the next two weeks. I was finally scheduled for 3 weeks later - after I called 3 times myself since Eads never called me after I paid a deposit. I took the day off work to be there, since they wanted someone home when the installers arrived. They were 45 minutes late (out of the 90 minute window I was given), and only worked 3.5 hours that day. I understand the posts needed to set overnight, but they did not even finish installing all the posts. I came home from work the next afternoon expecting the fence to be finished, being that I live on an average size subdivision lot, and the only thing remaining was the interior chicken wire on one 8ft section of fence. Big problem - I didnt see it but my lab found it and escaped. Once again, no communication from Eads about the progress. I arrived home the next afternoon assuming someone would have driven by and finished the one 8ft section of wire, but no. And once again, no communication from Eads. I called at 4:28 hoping to catch the scheduler who leaves at 4:30, but she was already gone. Someone took down my information and promised I would get a call the next morning. By midafternoon, I finally called Eads myself to be greeted with a agitated, short tempered woman who seemed annoyed that I was calling to check on the status of my fence - 4 days into the install. Luckily, when I got home, it was competed that day. Other big issues - I changed the layout of the fence to end up using less wood. I asked that the installers leave the extra wood since I would be building a gate for the new layout, but no wood was left. I paid for it, but apparently I dont get to keep it. I was also told that the installers would try to spread the dirt from the holes around in the spot, but instead I have huge mounds of dirt. I still havent finished digging down these piles, and I cant mow near them since they are so tall. All in all, the fence looks nice, but I could have gotten it done cheaper, faster, and with better communication had I gone with a different fence company. I am NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. I finally heard from them 2 weeks after the install was complete, but only because they wanted the rest of their money. I made sure to communicate these issues to the person conducting the "customer service survey," but of course nothing was said except they were sorry I wasnt happy. They have no service recovery system, and very poor customer service.

Mr. Dale Eads ended up not accepting my payment and mailed back my check and apologized. 5/6/16 Eads installed a fence in 2015 , which cost over $22,000. The fence itself was installed okay. However, the gate and opener that Eads installed had a many malfunctions and although there were multiple service calls, it never was fixed properly. Note: I found out later that installing a $12 part at time of install or after the gate malfunctioned the first time would have solved the problem. Instead, months later a windstorm blew open the gate in the opposite direction causing the opener (motor) to permanently malfunction and break. Being a business owner and in the service industry myself, I assumed because of the inadequacy of multiple repair attempts, that this should be covered under warranty. After writing Mr. Dale Eads an email explaining this, he wrote back this: "You got what you paid for and then some-- if you do not or will not pay the bill that is a dealbreaker for me and servicing this gate in the future . I hope that we can work this out but if you are not going to pay this bill we are just going to have to move on." Not quite the answer I expected from a business such as Eads. After some thought, I have decided to take the high road and pay the bill, but I will never use them or recommend Eads to anyone for any service. Greg McAfee

If youre looking to install a fence, look no further! Brian and his team from Eads Fence Company installed my parents fence a couple of years ago and did a beautiful job, so when I bought a house and was looking for a company to install our privacy fence, I called him to get some ideas. He knew we were on a budget, and he was completely down-to-earth and helped us tremendously through the decision-making process. He showed us tons of options and helped us land on a beautiful vinyl white privacy fence with a lattice top, that fits our historic tudor home perfectly. I know its silly, but its our dream fence, and I couldnt believe it fit within our budget! Brian and his team did an absolutely fantastic job and were completely professional from start to finish. I wish I could share a photo here, but our fence is the envy of our neighborhood! I was especially impressed recently, when a tree fell and knocked a section of our fence over during a bad summer storm. I emailed Brian and he was quick to respond and help. He was able to come out in no time and had the fence fixed within 20 minutes of arrival! He truly goes above and beyond when it comes to service, quality, and expertise. I cant recommend him, or Eads, enough!

I would save your time and go with a different company. The fence itself turned out okay, but the guys they sent out to install the fence were not professional at all. Their topics of conversation were loud enough for me to hear and lets just say not appropriate. In addition, our sales person never told us about dirt removal costing extra therefore we are now left with several large mounds of dirt in our yard. They said it will be an additional $250 to remove it but it seems to me that if youre a company that digs holes, you should probably have a contract with another company to be able to get rid of your mess, but apparently that just does not make sense. When my wife called to ask the sales person why she was not made aware or the dirt removal at all, the sales person, Marchelle (not 100 percent how to spell her name) was very rude and ended up telling my wife she was in the wrong. I am now unable to get a hold of a manager due to the "he is not in the office" routine. In the end, I would just save the headache and go with a professional company that does the job right and leaves the customer feeling like their money was well spent, because as of right now I feel ripped off.

Just wanted to give a shout out and compliment the wonderful job Eads “one-man” repair crew, Eddie, did at my house this week. He was on time, explained exactly what he was going to do, and did a thorough job in cleaning up. The repair work (split rail post replacement and wiring) looks great. He also explained to me that he would not hang my new gates on the newly installed end posts as the concrete was wet but would be back in a couple of days to install them. He returned in a few days to hang both of my gates, with new hardware, but unfortunately both gates were not even close to fitting. Apparently there was an error in the original measurements or in the manufacturing of them. Luckily for me, Eddie was willing to rebuild each gate to fit my existing openings. What should have been a ½ hour job ending up lasting 2+ hours (on a nice hot/ humid afternoon). I appreciate his concern to make sure things were done right and not to leave me hanging. He is definitely customer service orientated. If you need split rail fence repairs and are using Eads, try and get Eddie for the work.
