Purchased deck lumber and iron railing (approx. $5k). Shopped around before making decision to go with McCabe. Prices were highest but was willing to pay for perceived convenience of location, availability of product, quality and knowledgeable staff. Terrible disappointment. The buying experience was o.k.--had a "newish" sales person so the transaction and information wasnt as smooth as we had hoped. BUT, it all fell apart when the lumber delivered wasnt the lumber we ordered. The Sales Manager and the Owner were condescending, experts at double talk, gave false information and refused to accept responsibility for the mess up. It wasnt until I brought in outside assistance that the problem was resolved somewhat. One of the worst customer service experiences to date and that is saying a lot. They wasted days of my time and that of my contractor.

Decks Unlimited partnered with McCabe Lumber as a supplier when they opened in 2001. We are still with them today. Wide selection of products, knowledgeable staff, quality service and a large inventory are the reasons why. If we need something they dont stock, they can usually get it within a few days.
