I cant imagine what some people are thinking, when they rate a Goodwill store negatively because they had to wait in line. Good will is a charity, their main business is providing services to people with developmental disabilities. The donations you give, and the dollars to spend go to support the day programs, work programs, transportation and other services for the disabled. This is not a "thrift store" that you can decide you hate because they didnt have enough staff one day. Many of their employees have disabilities and depend on Public Transportation for the Disabled, such as Access, Peterman, or Goodwills own buses. If the reason you go to Goodwill is to get in and out quickly, then perhaps you will indeed be best served by not coming in. While of course Goodwill stores want to provide good service, this is not a for profit company competing with TJMaxx, or Marshalls. I would hope that part of the reason you go to Good will is because of the great programs they provide for the people they serve, and go in knowing that large parts of this operation are handled by the disabled who are able to work in the community because of this store. Do you snarl and the disable bagger at the grocery store because he or she is too slow? It sounds like you would, if you are trash talking Goodwill because you had to wait in line.

I went there on sunday 7/2 & there were 2 very long lines ,then they closed one register because an employee was going home sick..found out that 2 employees called in as well so way under staffed..especially since it was 50% off everything..I had my 4 year old daughter with me so I wasnt gonna wait 30 minutes in line so I came back on Monday & the manager wouldnt give me 50% off the 8 pairs of shorts I found. .& they were having 50% off on Tuesday the fourth as well..so I came back on Tuesday & of coarse could only find half the shorts I had monday..well I after getting shorts I went looking around for more stuff..I left my cart with the 6 pairs of shorts for less than 5 minutes (cause it was busy & didnt want to try & menuver through all other carts) i was checking on something on other side of store & came back & my cart was gone..after looking around I saw some of them put back on racks but couldnt find them all..an employee took my cart to restock but shouldve waited a little bit to see Id it was left for just a few minutes, which it was...huge waste of my time 3 days in a row & left with less than satisfactory clothes that I should have been able to get on Monday for half priced..wasnt my fault they were way under staffed on sunday..Ill go to another thrift store for the rest of my life

Have always loved this Goodwill...have been shopping here forever...before it became such a huge industry. There rules have become ridiculous and their prices too high on some items. Very inconsistent on pricing. This one in Woodlawn has a new manager...who she didnt fire, quit...witnessed her working in the back with workers...not good. They never halve the prices of items from target...some of their prices are higher than what target would have charged...just crazy. How can they be this way when they get the shigity for free. I know people steal but come on...you got it for free. They wont even let their damn employees purchase from the store they work in. Why? Whats the big deal. If they work there they cant be making a huge amount of money. Even the department stores give their people 20% off. My husband was worried that I would shop there tooo much when we moved across the street...I rarely go in there now become they are so unfriendly...oh my God...you are making a profit off of donated shigity! What a great way to make money...you should be laughing all the way to the bank. INSTEAD THEY ACT LIKE ALL THAT SHIGITY CAME FROM THE WORK OF THEIR OWN HANDS. haha...what a joke.

I really enjoy this Goodwill as far as the size and selection. Im giving three stars because of the customer service. One day, I was in there and two employees were moving a couch. They kept saying loudly that they shouldnt have to be doing it and they are sueing Goodwill if they get hurt. I thought it was unprofessional, but whatever. Then, I go to the register after shopping, and one of the former mentioned employees is my cashier. She tells me that several of my items are tagged wrong and then proceeds to ring them up for more than what the price reads on the tag. I am obviously annoyed and she tells me that its not her fault someone tagged them wrong. I didnt want to make a scene in Goodwill, so I didnt argue any more with her. I did write an email to Goodwill. They replied, telling me I needed to contact the store and gave me their number. Yeah, Im going to call the store, so she can answer the phone. No thanks. Just had to accept the fact that no one cares. Other than that, I like the place.

You have to arrive when the doors open to get the best selection. I found a beautiful silver rimmed China set there for $30. I found the same online for $300. There are a ton of clothes. My husband buys most of his dress shirts here. You have to be willing to dig, but you can find really high quality and nice brands here. Be patient. My only complaint is the lines at the registers are usually really long. Dont be in a hurry. Come with a positive and patient attitude and you might walk away with some great deals.

This thrift store location is my favorite in the city (including ones from other chains). Its spacious, clean, and well laid out, with a wide variety of inexpensive clothing (and some accessories, wares, and furniture), and even a jewelry/gift kiosk in the store open until around 4 p.m. The employees over the past couple of years have always been friendly and helpful, regardless of the hour of the day.

Clean store, but over-priced. Rudest employees. I asked "what are wares?" and was told, "nothing youve got". My wife asked how much a stuffed animal was, and was told "the price is on there" "yes, but I cant read this number", "its 10 bucks" and threw the toy back at her.

Its so vast! Its like a warehouse except filled with lots of stuff. It was mostly clothes and shoes. Unfortunately, prices were expensive, maybe to help with overhead. The return policy isnt the best, either; even exchange. Other than that, it was a lot of fun to visit.

I give this location 3 stars simply because the location is terrible! NEVER go during rush hour. Its a nightmare getting in and out of this place! This location is a little pricey it seems and doesnt have a great modern selection like other thrift stores.

Its a big store, but the location can be a little difficult to get in and out of, and what I find is not consistent. The lines are sometimes really long and Ive received better customer service at other locations.
