I have been going to Edgewood Pet Center since I was a kid. I stopped when I was younger because they sold me a sick rare lizard with a lump on his eye. They told me he just hit it, but it was a tumor. He lied and didnt get it checked out. My girlfriend bought a dog from there and it was all good. Didnt like it cause they kept them caged for months and now has emotional problems. I brought him up there to get him groomed. Told the lady that I didnt want him shaved. I like him shaggy, but want a inch off and trimmed up. I got him back and it was bad! Lady shaved him and left lines through him. His face was all bushy and cut choppy. So my poor pup had racing lines through him, shaved to the skin, and a plain just bad face cut. Felt bad cause everybody in the neighborhood was making comments. The worse of it was the lady thats co-owner with her husband, said to me after asking her what happened, nicely, said, "your just going to have to deal with it." She said that to a customer thats been going there for almost 17 years! Took him to Sandys Grooming in Saybrook and she was awesome. He looks great. Nice even shag, face looks handsome and even. I give her 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I have started a saltwater aquarium about 3 or 4 months ago and a particular employee really knew his information. He has helped us out a lot and even talked us out of getting certain fish just because of the fish we have wouldnt get along with it. It also seems as though each employee knows their stuff about something different. We try to only go there when the fish guy is working. Fantastic help.

Staff is friendly. They always have ferret food when I did it and other supplies. They improved and remodeled the interior of the store and it looks a whole lot better and open. More space and a nicer looking store. Some animals could use bigger cages like the chinchillas and rabbits but they are clean. Good variety of animals(reptiles, fish, small animals and more).

I get a hamster.The owner told me it was a girl.I named it Peaches.Only to find out later that its a boy but I still love him.They were very helpful.I would go there again.I plan on helpfully getting a guinea pig from there.

I go here every week to get crickets, it is a great place to get your pet supplies. They have a large variety of fish, lizards, birds and many more different types of animals.

Staff is friendly and helpful. They carry a good variety of pets and pet supplies. Prices are reasonable. Love that I can shop local here instead of a chain store.
