This place has the rudest service people. I have been there several times and half of those there has been an incident with the staff not doing their job then taking it out on us and other customers for not knowing. For instance many times I go in and one staff member will say it is ok to hold and pet the animal unless there is a note saying not to. Yet once you do someone else will come over and make a scene at you(the customer) as though you have done something wrong. Even when there are no notes on the animal cages. This is a very poorly run place to start with and many times I have viewed dead fish, baby turtles etc. in the place and other animals who have feces in their food bins and are laying in it so it is on their bodies. The most recent incident was holding an animal( with no tag on the cage saying not to) and when I picked it up because we were trying to choose the nicest one to buy. Nearly a $500.00 purchase I might add, the critter we wanted had feces all on its under belly so I tried to wipe it off a bit. The critter made a noise and this hugely overbearing woman starts in on us stating we could stress them, dont pick it up etc. I said there are no signs and she says she got them in the day before and had not gotten to it. Well for one why would you put them out on the floor without a note so soon if she was so worried about the stress??? Another girl was just holding one not 10 minutes before us and we had waited for her to move along so we could choose ours. When I asked what we could hold she said the others pets but then told us to not touch anything at all when I asked her specifically how we were to choose the critter we wanted if we could not hold it out of the bin. To bad for her actions because I had planned on buying the critter today and a parrot stand nearly $200.00 price tag as well as feed. I had waited and saved for them and today was the day to get them BUT after that I have decided to never shop there again. EVER. We left without purchasing and ordered off eBay and went to another pet store for the critter. The last incident was a man who verbally attacked me in there for petting a bird someone had already purchased. It was in a cage on the wall and again NO signs to indicate anything. His tone and demeanor was so abusive as though I was attempting to steal it or something. I never even opened the cage, just talked to it and petted its head. Everyone in the front area stopped to stare at me over his mouth. As a customer I should not have to put up with that and this is not the only time we have witnessed such rudeness, it has happened to other customers we have seen as well. When you own or manage a place it does not give you the right to be abusive and so moody and lax with your rules. Why should any customer have to put up with that because of the lazy service not doing their jobs to be prepared ahead of time with notes or removing dead things from their water tanks and airing out the horrid smell on the reptile side. Not to mention the extreme dirt build up on the supplies in the bird area which is a bad thing since the bulk bird feed has no covers what so ever and sits low to the floor so all the filth is going into the food bins customers are buying and feeding to their birds.

I almost wasnt going to say anything... but then after visiting your FB page and seeing the way you manage your FB page (with no response to customer engagement) is exactly the way you manage inside your store. Do you see how many comments and messages on your page you have that you dont even acknowledge? Why do you even have a FB page? And inside the store? It is INCREDIBLE alright... downright incredibly bad service. Ive never seen anything like it in my life! 5 teenage employees all standing around in a circle chatting it up, while TONS of customers are waiting for help, asking for help, and being ignored, getting eyes rolled at them, etc. There are dead fish floating in the tanks, the cashier girl doesnt even acknowledge people that speak to her... the ONE GUY whos allowed to sell fish in the whole place does everything BUT stay in the fish section... I saw tons of customers walk out, including us, even when we mentioned that we were leaving because they ignored us, we got sucking of teeth and attitude. Lord only knows how much money you lose DAILY because of poor management and poor work ethic. I didnt see any manager in sight, just a bunch of kids having a blast and ignoring customers. Now I know the REASON why you have so many posters up on the wall about people who have SHOPLIFTED from your store... I guarantee they took the fish, the turtles, and everything else because they stood around forever and never got help, so they helped themselves. Absolutely incredible! This was hands down the most ridiculous customer service (if you can even call it that) that Ive ever seen. Theres an obvious lack of leadership, no doubt about it. I will never go there again, and on top of that I will make sure to tell everyone I know about the experience. Youre not the only place to buy pets and pet supplies... maybe you need a wake up call?

I was not like the others in my experience with this store. First I received high pressure sales approach to buying, and to do it fast, like a used car lot. I bought a Columbian Boa for my kid for $169, learning later local breeders would sell me one for $70. This snake never ate (Ive had pythons, I know how to keep the temperature warm and to care for any snake) and finally died in 3 weeks, attempting to eat itself. I came to the store simply to ask for a new snake, or at least a partial credit. They insisted I did this and the snake would have lived. Breeders told me these snakes are put through a lot in transit and the mortality rate is high. They did nothing for me. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they finally said when they get another Columbian boa in season, I can have $40 off, thats it. I never saw a Columbian boa since. Another thing, they posted a crime on their window, a shoplifter stole a $1000 bird, and I was able to identify the woman as a neighbor, and gave them all the info. They promised a reward. The woman was arrested, convicted, and is on probation. She also paid full restitution, and the store recovered the bird. I mentioned all I wanted was the damn snake they owed me all along. I didnt get one red cent. Next time someone rips them off, Im going to pat them on the back. Its the only way you get a dime from these people. Its all sweet and smiles until something goes wrong. Thats the real test. They have a new location. Gee, look at all the money they have in this economy. YOU CAN DO BETTER BUYING ELSEWHERE! I DID.
