The pet training is a joke. I have went in numerous times and watched some of the group classes. I thought it might be a positive for my pup when I decided to get another to get it used to others all around. It is amazing that no matter how right the owner does the commands the trainer always claims it is the owners fault and makes excuses for the dog. Even when the dog is clearly rambunctious or distracted. The owner is to blame... Could it be maybe the trainer is not that great at assessing each dogs behavior or personality before they start? I called in for my dog to see if it was worth the 200 plus dollars for private training as well. I had already researched and called around to other trainers and I have trained my own dogs for years but thought maybe they could improve on my techniques or had something really new that would be of benefit to my dog. Unfortunately the trainer proceeded to use fear tactics on me (not knowing I have trained and groomed my own dogs since I was a child) that my dog would only get worse and it would be a danger. Thing is not one other trainer nor any info from AKC or any other said that. The other sites claimed with the dogs young age it was perfectly normal behavior and that consistency and redirecting would be the most beneficial at this stage which are all things that can be done at home by setting a plan in place and sticking to it. As well as time in the home to adjust to new surroundings and become accustom to our expectations. I do not like being manipulated in that manner just so some one can have business. Sure I may have picked up some new hand signals but really any hand signal you assign to a command and use it consistently will work for a dog. I implement hand signals as well until the dog is adult and clearly listens to a voice only command. I was told that PetSmart trains the owners how to train the dog but the description of what they actually do was very vague and nothing more than what you can get online through training web sites for free. The main emphasis was my credit card and that I can pay anytime over the phone.

My Yorkshire Terrier used to get regularly groomed by PetSmart groomers. The first couple of times was great. I was told to give the groomers about 3 hours to finish her up and always received a phone call about an hour after dropping her off which was nice because I would stay around the area (I live about an hour from PetSmart). The last time I took her in at the end of December was awful. When I called to set up the appt, the woman answering the phone was extremely rude. I figured she was just busy and in a rush so I looked past it. Then, when dropping my pup off, they were rude..my pup was a bit anxious (as usual when I leave her with strangers) and the woman took her from me, told me to sign the form and that Id receive a call once she was finished. My phone went dead about 1 1/2 hrs. after leaving so I went back in to let them know Id stick around the store until she was done. The woman told me that They hadnt even gotten to my dog and that I needed to leave because my dog was already giving them problems and they didnt want her to see me (understandable). When they paged me to get her, I was informed that I needed to take her to a training classes for her behavioral problems (no one has ever had a problem with her). She did not smell washed AT ALL. Her nails WERE NOT trimmed. She didnt have a bow in her hair (they always put a bow or bandanna on each pup). And she was in distress. Obviously, she didnt get treated well bc 3 people had to hold down my 6lb YORKIE. Again, she had been there a few times before this and I had actually received compliments about how sweet she was from the groomers. I WILL NOT be taking her back again. $40 is not worth the treatment at this salon.

I went to have my puppy trained., the trainer is fine if but a little soft with corrections, but the other dogs and their owners there are frankly interolarable. A lady asked "should i trim my puppys claws, i dont want to take the german shepard out of him." So idiotic it was painful to watch but I guess it was good they were in a class to learn about their dog which was obviously bought from a puppy mill by inexperienced owners. The floor of the training area was full of dried piss and hair. I had to give my dog a bath when we got home, praying he didnt pick up parvo from the mongrel dogs there that were snapping at him the whole time. Rest is great. Customer service is on point, great selection of live animals. Avoid 2nd class training. Socialization is great, but dont expose your pet to contaminated puppy mill puppys.

The groomers were very busy and I asked for the basic brush and wash service on my new Labradoodle. Somehow, they knew ahead of time she would be too nervous for hand-drying, so they told me up front they would kennel-dry her (she didnt appear the least bit nervous). I dont understand that, but oh well (less labor-intensive maybe). In my opinion, they washed my dog, but I dont think she was brushed the 15-minutes they quoted judging from all the loose fur. I may do it myself next time. UPDATE: the manager readily agreed to redo the wash and brush.

Pet supplies are decently priced, but grooming service is horrible. Took my dog in for a bath and when I cane back to pick him up, he had two huge patches of fur missing. I asked the groomer what happenedn considering he was only in for a bath and she claims "thats how he dried". Worst lie ever!!! How can a dogs fur dry with patches of hair missing? Avoid this salon, they did not even attempt to rectify whatever grooming error they made, by trimming his hair low. Now we have to wait monthd for the his hair to grow back in...

This PetSmart has top-notch customer service. Ive gotten several birds from here and they are of good quality and very healthy . They also have the Bissell steam cleaners here which in my opinion work serval times better than a rug doctor and I rent them on occasion to do my carpets. It does a fantastic job getting pet hair and pet dirt out of carpets and I love this PetSmart and would recommend anyone to go to them.

Highly pod at this very moment! Its Sunday evening and I went to open my bag of dog food that I purchased Friday night, only to find that it expired in January! $62 for dog food that is out of date by 5 months!!!!! Seriously?! Now I have to go get some crap food to feed my dog because I cant even resolve this situation until tomorrow morning! How much effort does it take to check dates when restocking????????

They did a great job grooming my Shiatsu mix groomed and they did a wonderful job. Same day appointment, workers were fast & friendly. My dog was so happy when I picked her up which tells me she had a great experience. These groomers also care about your pet and if your happy with the cut after. I would definitely recommend this place for your grooming needs!
