I bought a used car from Phoenix Indoor Auto Sales and it seemed like and ok deal at the time but when I got the car home and took it to my mechanic he gave me a list of things that need fixed. 1. The underside of the car is badly rusted and even has holes in the floor and an entire piece of metal missing from the driver side wheel well 2. Tried to fix another wheel well that was rusted out and missing metal but did not do it correctly 3. The struts need replaced 4. Rear brakes and rotors need replaced 5. Problem with spark plugs or fuel injectors (not sure at this point) that makes the car sputter and almost stall out at times. 6. Overall the car will not pass inspection or be a reliable vehicle until I put a lot more money into it. There was also some confusion with the paperwork that wasnt noticed until later. When I spoke with the salesman Ryan I was told the car would be sold to me for about $5,500 (give or take a little bit). He knocked $100 off for chips in the windshield and the rear wiper not working. After reviewing the paperwork/bill of sale it said the cost of the car was about $6,600. This is $1,000 more than I was told I would be paying for the car. After questioning the financial manager he explained that he had to change numbers around in order to get me financing but overall I was still only paying what I was originally told by the salesman. I guess he forgot that increasing the cost of the car increased the amount in taxes I have to pay and affects how much interest I will be paying. Another issue I ran into was when I went to AAA in Pittsburgh where I live to find out everything I needed to do to get my plate and registration transferred to this car they told me I had to pay almost $400 in tax. AAA called Phoenix Auto because I told them taxes were already paid and the salesman told AAA that I did not pay any taxes yet. So basically they threw a fresh coat of paint on the car to hide rust and to make it look good on first impression, changed the price of the car on the paperwork, and continuously delete any reviews/comments I have put on their facebook page. Sounds like fraud to me.

I referred my sister because she needed to start a second job over an hour away. She purchased the car and was given time to pay the down payment but right away the engine light came on. I have the exact same car so I was alarmed but she was reassured it would be taken care of. They took her car in for a week right after the purchase and the light was repaired but she got her car back and it came right back on with a need service soon light flashing. She is a mail carrier and couldnt miss work during the season so she informed them of the issue again but needed to wait until after Christmas to bring the car back which she has only had going on two months now. This time the repair was of course much more than they wanted to fix and when she took the car in she was told too bad the car is not covered after a few days and she was handled very aggressively and talked to like her business did not matter. She was even told that it is not their fault she works two jobs, one in chardon Ohio and one in beachwood. The only reason she drove to them was because of my recommendation that i now recant. Because the engine light was on the entire time she has had the car except the Friday and Saturday after the first repair, She was never able to pass the mandatory e check to get permanent plates. My car, that I purchased from them, already had e check papers when I purchased it But hers did not. When she got to work today, after picking up her car, she realized that her tags had been removed from her vehicle without her knowledge or permission and she drove it from Tallmadge to beachwood with no tags and her headlight was suddenly out. Sad. I feel bad that I took her here.

I wouldnt even give this company a one star. The owner is a heartless MONEY hungry evil person. (I am trying to be nice here.) The first car he sold me was $3700 and needless to say when I went back to them with all the problems it had, they traded it in for a $2300 car which is just as bad. After loosing a lot of money and getting a horrible car I spent weeks trying to speak to the person who sold me the car. I finally find out he no longer works there. So I speak to the owner and what he told me was, "OH WELL". Nothing I said or did meant anything to him. I pictured him to be sitting at his desk counting all the $100s that he was robbing of innocent people like me. He even tried to tell me that there isnt a lemon law that covers my car. I dont have time or money to fight this SOB but if you do have troubles there are Ohio laws to cover you. "The Federal Lemon Law is named the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act and it was the first “lemon” law ever passed and it can cover your used car, no matter how old it may be. If you get a warranty from the dealer when you get your used car, even if it is only for one day, then this Federal Warranty law will cover you. It requires that the warrantor (usually the selling dealer) repair it within a reasonable number of attempts and within a reasonable amount of time. If your vehicle is in the shop too long for warranty repairs, or too many times, then you may be entitled to your money back." If you can take this POS to court you should. Right now I am waiting for my new title, lets see if he even sends that.

My honest experience: I bought a lemon from Phoenix Indoor Auto Sales that Im trading in tomorrow after a few months of NOTHING but problems with it. Listen to your gut when you go in there to buy a car. Make sure your shop has a look at the car before you buy. And be ready to over pay. Couple reasons to not buy from Phoenix: 1) "No Haggle Pricing" - Means there is NO room to negotiate on ANY prices at all. Be aware that the inflated price online is the price YOU WILL PAY. 2) Insufficient safety inspections - After over paying for the car and getting beat up on my trade in (high pressure sales) I was assured that the car was given a "rigorous safety inspection" any problems were fixed. The alleged inspection failed to uncover the following things I had to fix upon ownership: -4 major exhaust leaks directly below the passenger compartment that filled the passengers compartment with dangerous exhaust fumes. Exhaust was literally pouring out of where both of the headers connect x-pipes in addition to 2 other exhaust leaks. My shop was shocked no one noticed. - Front end structural damage. The radiator was pushed back 4 inches and the radiator hose was kinked in 3 places causing the car to overheat. -A gaping hole in the PCV hose so the PCV system was leaking crankcase gases into the HVAC system and into the passenger compartment and also causing the car to stall (lucky for them the day I bought it was a good day for the car).
