Went in to just get a baseline test before I finalized my choice of artist for some substantial amount of work I have been planning on getting started (original plan was to get a script bracelet - script is one of the toughest to do & make look right, and I figured a small cuff would both let me know if this was the place to go AND be something fixable elsewhere if not. Before the back piece and the socks, risking a small piece seemed the way to go.) and left almost 7 hours later with both wrist cuffs AND a large inner forearm piece done, along with plans started for the back sometime... soon. Which should tell you how much I love the pieces I have done now. The shop has a great vibe. The whole team of artists know their work, and what I got done is simply stellar. Ive seen thousands of script tattoos, worked as shop nannies in the past - and outside of books, Ive NEVER seen script as clean as I am now sporting. Lines are pulled just perfectly, the addition of tiny bits of royal blue in the black was a brilliant call - NOT - by me, but the artist. Wraps perfectly, the placing is dead on, the freehand is as professionally great as the stenciled portions, and and created something (I told him what the wording I wanted was and the general direction I want to go and then left it in his hands. Im carrying his work, so I want him invested in the pieces as much as I am. But after that, I just let him go and man am I stoked I did!) that is clean, clear, strong but still manages to be feminine without being girly. Im way too much of an Amazon to even try uber-delicate, but the large forearm piece is amazing (it all is, frankly), and beautiful. Which, as its on forever, is rather important to me! This is the shop to go to in Akron. Walked into dozens, glad this is the one I actually sat down and got the big push finally started.

I had an awful tattoo on my right shoulder that I had done a few years back. After tracking Jimi Jackson down through references of friends and my son & friends. I had made an appointment and was not disappointed. Jimi had come up with a few pics that were amazing and would cover this monsterpiece well. After consulting with me and 4 hours later... my tattoo is an amazing piece of art that I am truly blessed to wear. After that my son got his arm done with his daughters name by Jimmy Fellows and the graphics of his graffiti work was rockin. Thanks so much for your great works of art and to Clarence for his entertainment while the tat was in the works. I recommend you to anyone and everyone and hope to get another maybe soon :)

Went in to Akron Electric to get a tattoo of mine refinished and another small one in a different place. Clarence Messer was my artist and he was great with listening to exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed his artistic style so much that we are currently working on a thigh piece for him to ink on me later this month. Couldnt be happier with the service, atmosphere, and raw talent from this shop. Ive been to a lot of shops in the Akron/Cleveland area... and I highly recommend Akron Electric Tattoo.

I dont understand how this place has good reviews. I went for a simple tattoo and was there over 2 hours although there were no customers being worked on. The place is unbelievably dirty and both tattoo areas are exposed. I paid for a tattoo that was done way too deep and looks awful. Now I wasted money (over priced) just to have it redone by someone else. It was overall a terrible experience and I will never recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I both went to Jimi Jackson at Akron Electric Tattoo. My daughter is an artist and designed my tattoo, a very detailed yellow finch with wings spread carrying the breast cancer ribbon. The detail he achieved was perfect! It looks like the drawing jumped off the paper and onto my shoulder. My husband is equally happy with his. We both would recommend Jimi and the shop!

Keith pyles has done several tattoos on my husband and I and does an amazing job price is reasonable compared to other places I have gone to also Ive seen work from other employees and they have really awesome work as well highly recommend wouldnt go any where else now that I have found them ;)

I enjoyed the chill yet professional atmosphere of Akron Electric. I am a very indecisive person and my tattoo artist, Clarence Messer knew exactly what I wanted without me saying too much. I am completely satisfied with the work he did. I am most definitely returning! Hes now my go-to guy!
