While in Jacksonville Florida on business the other day we were "shopping" around at tattoo shops. We had 2 years previously used a shop in Jacksonville beach that came highly recommended. This was our first stop. We are a "mature" couple.....note: I did not say older........anyhow, we needed guidance, suggestions, ideas etc. on what we were wanting. Now....there was only one person in this shop getting a tattoo that day. There were other artists in the shop. A book was shoved under our nose and we was told to look at it and the guy walked off. So, we walked out. We visited several more shops between Jacksonville and all the way down to Daytona. SAME FREAKING STORY!!!! When we got back to Jacksonville and was heading to the hotel I did a search on my phone for shops in JAX. A Fu Kein shop came up. The name tickled me so much that we decided we had to go there even if it was only to "check in" on FB. We walked in, a guy ask if he could help us, I showed him my foot and told him I wanted ideas on how to cover it up. He ask me why I was covering it up. I told him I was not happy with it. He ask me if I minded if he used a sharpie and drew on it for a minute and if I didnt like it, he would wipe it off. I said sure, no problem. When he was done, I was SHOCKED! No one had EVER taken those few minutes to show a different way to look at it! I had NO plans to get a tattoo that night. I immediately told him to do it!! Long story short......before the week was out, we had made 2 trips to the shop....had all the "repair" work done on my two tattoos and my fiances 2 tattoos! We also had the pleasure of having Sofia Estrella Olivieri do tats for both of us! I dont know how to give this shop 10 STAR rating, but it TOTALLY DESERVES IT!!! This Texas girl will ALWAYS go back to A Fu Kein Good Tattoo! AND yes, I have at least two more that I want!!

If you are looking to get a piercing this is the place and Carlos is your guy! I had been wanting microdermal piercings in my lower back for a while but I was always just too nervous. I finally picked a date and place and was ready to go for it. However when I got there the piercer informed me that she had not perfected the dermal piercing technique but she would still do the piercing for me. I declined I wanted someone who was confident and experienced with these piercings and thats exactly what I found in Carlos. When I first arrived at the shop I was still super nervous about the piercing but when he talked to me about his 3+ years experience with the specific type of piercing I wanted and was readily able to answer any questions and concerns I had, I knew I was in the right place. Talking to him made every fear I had disappear. He was very clean and comforting and did the piercing very quickly. He was very imformative about after care for the piercing and told me that if I had any questions or anything to not hesitate to call. I actually popped up at the shop 2 days after I had the piercing done just so he could take a look and make sure I was cleaning it properly and assure that everything was ok. He cleaned it up for me and told me everything looked great. Overall I love the shop and everyone in it especially Carlos lol. Theyre all so friendly and know their stuff and the prices and VERY reasonable. I will definitely be a returning customer.

This is the worst shop in Jacksonville to come have any thing pierce ..first off coming to this shop was a big mistake and a waste of 40 ..upon walking in I should of turn around those pic you see on the web site need to be update ..the shop is dirty and nasty and the chairs are run down ...staying to this shop change my life ..now I have a mark on the bottom of my lip that I have to live with ..the girl name LIZ that works here need to find another job....If you do not know what you are doing Dont take people money ..she did not give me what I ask for nor did she cared after she receive my money ...lets say she told me the wrong information and also pierce with the wrong bar ...she told me two weeks others says it can take up to a month or longer I just thank God my lip didnt fell off dealing with this non pericer ..people Dont let what happen to me happen to your face by the hands of someone like LIz touching your face because someone lack to care about your face as if it was theres ...lesson learn next time if I Dont feel right about something or someone who is piercing me I will leave !!!! Beware people Dont be a victim after you sign those papers and they are covered just so you have to deal with something they did the rest of your life......

It was my first time getting a piecing, and I just so happened to stumble upon some of Lizs(my piercer) work. I emailed her back and forth, and pretty soon I had an appointment set up. The shop was just about to close, so I called Liz up and told her I had just gotten off of work and Ill be there in a sec, so she kept the shop open for me and my friend, which she did not have to do. I could already tell that I was gonna fall in love with this place. Me and my friend had finally arrived, and the next best part begins. We walk in to be greeted by Liz, and she instantly recognized me. We filled out the appropiate forms, and then the piercing began. She was very professional and made us feel very comfortable while she pierced me and my friend, which was very welcomed. Soon enough, like she had promised, she had done a belly button and a septum piercing, and had made two very satisfied customers all because she made the tatto shop feel like home

That was an awesome experience! My Son who just turned 18 wanted a Tattoo and I at 42 neve had one. We set an appointment with Mike and showed on time. Mike came out and after a few minutes he brought Bruce into the design process. It was decided that Bruces experience was more apt for the work at hand so he took over. Seeing that Mike was open I decided to give him a shot. He drew a Pin Up girl superimposed over a pannel of a WWII airplane that looks just like my wife of 20 years. Awesome. I summarize the experience by saying you should think the tattoo you got is the best in the world, and I think mine is. Healing quickly and not loosing any quality, Mike guarantees the work for life. This guy is good, I highly recommended, a great family atmosphere, my wife, my daughter and my 30 day old grandson where there for the experience, the shop is very family friendly! Thank you Mike & Bruce.

I got an industrial piercing here. The piercer was really nice, but I dont think he knew what he was doing. He didnt pierce my cartilage like he was supposed to on the top part of my ear, and instead he pierced my tissue and the tissue started turning purple and dying because of it. He also didnt measure my ear before piercing it, so the bar didnt fit the curve of my ear and the skin on the bottom part of the piercing tried to grow back into the shape it should have been regardless of whether or not there was a bar in the ear because the bar and its angle should have fit the ear, but it couldnt because the bar was at the wrong angle so it started bubbling up and the skin was folding over itself as it grew back. I had to take the entire piercing out and am now out the $75 I paid to have it done. 10/10 would not recommend this place if youre looking for someone who knows what theyre doing.
