The good old brick and mortal electronics store. Well not so much anymore. On several occasions I have stopped in to ask a question or get a product recommendation. If you can read dont waste your time looking for an employee to ask. Most often they simply turn to the little info card or the product box and tell you what it says. I went in looking for a new digital camera and I posed what I thought was a very easy question. I was looking for a camera that did two things. Fit in a pocket and take good up-close photos. I was asked what my price range was. I told them that price was not important. I simply wanted the best camera that took good up close pictures and still fit in a pocket. After about 15 mins of waiting for the employees to read the info cards I left and turned to the internet for research and product reviews. The one good thing that I can say is they started to price match amazon. Anything you are going to buy pull out your phone and look it up on amazon. If it is shipped and sold by amazon and is the same product they will match amazons price. This has came in handy when I needed something today. If is nice having a store in town to run a grab that cable you forgot to order but the prices are steep and the staff generally seems uneducated. There was one occasion where I was looking for a usb microphone. I couldnt find them in the store so I asked someone where they were. If just so happened that the employee that I asked happened to personally use one of the mics that they sold. A gave me the recommendation. Since he was helpful and was able to give me information I didnt already know I took his advise. I did still pull up amazon to check price and reviews on my way to the check outs.

The main reason why I have a problem with Best Buy is the fact that the aisle are to narrow. For some one in a wheel chair. When I need help most of the help always seems to be to bussy! Talking to each other are they are talking to there friends I know this because they talk loud enough for people around them" can hear. There are times", rare but it happends is that they see that I need help but they act as if Im not there. At that point I just leave and they just lost business. The only reason I go to Best Buy is to buy a new tv or a computer. The last time I left Best Buy I went else were and spent 3 to 4 thousand dollars. One other reason is that some of the employees are very rude. I have over heard a few of them talking after they have helped me. what I heard was there words not mine. Omg the disabled think that we should stop want every one is doing and help them and then theres this one I just help them to get the out of here, For those of you out there and you know who you are!! "YOU CAN NOT CHATCH ANYTHING FROM US. FOR ME I WAS IN A HIT AND RUN FOR CRYEN OUT LOUD WE ARE NOT DISEASED OR MENTALLY RETARDED"!!!!!!!!! So please just treat us like you treat others that arent disabled!! Thanks for letting me vent. Tum Tum, April 14th 2011

Overall, the Best Buy in Fargo is good and the employees are very friendly in all but one department (Electronics --- specifically computers). There are only a handful of good employees in this department but the rest just sit there and pick & chose who to help and those they shouldnt even bother with. I personally believe you should not judge anyone but these kids just dont get it so never-mind. I stood out there waiting for help today for more than 30 minutes and the guy wasnt busy or anything (just standing around) but couldnt even offer any help or acknowledge me, another customer came in, bam*, she gets asked "what brought her to the store today etc. etc?" without saying a word to the guy. I had to walk over to the counter to ask for someone else because one of the cool dudes out there was helping someone (while his lazy friend bums around). I think the cool dudes name is Brandon but I will update because I forgot. He came towards me as soon as he was done with the customer. Very friendly and sincere guy and I have noticed this about him from day one (each time I visit)... He did my "DELL LAPTOP" order online because the price was better after I decided no to finance and even price matched it. I really like going to best buy but this particular department is just full of people who dont take their jobs seriously; it has been happening countless amount of time and I decided to vent it out... Hopefully the store would do something about it.

My husband and I were there this past weekend and he bought a Ipad Mini 3 the guy that helped us put the screen protector on for an additional $15. we thought for that price atleast it would be done correctly.....right! well no its crooked and half way covering the home button. my husand thought he would be able to just deal with it because we were in a bit of a hurry beings that it was easter saturday and we had to get to our first family dinner. ahhh we spend $40+ dollars on this screen protector and now its crooked and messed up. not to mention that we were supposed to receive 1 year of micosoft 365 free but the guy just handed us our box for the mini and the receipt for it and dont forget the garbage for the screen protector and sent us on our way. i saw him scan the 1 year of microsoft 365, did he keep it for him self??? we were really wanting that but with the easter weekend we didnt realize till we had already hit the road home that we didnt get it. i mean that guy could have easily looked us up in the system and called my husbands cellphone number couldnt he? we were very disappointed with the service. we also sat around by the apple products for a good 15 min waiting for someone to help us when i walked over to them and they looked at me like i interrupted their ooooo so good conversation so someone could help me.
