They didnt even earn one star but I had to select one for it let my comments post. I have never had a more horrifying experience with a florist than I did yesterday. 2/14/2017 trying to send someone who I am having my very first Valentines with something special and I placed my order 2/3/2017, well in advance. Was told my order would be delivered between 9 am and 5 pm because it was going to a business. My delivery never showed, I was told 2/15 that the order showed up at 7 pm and was refused. I had also made three phone calls to the florist on the afternoon of the 14th and was told it would be delivered before five. What a great way to celebrate your first Valentines with someone. After I repeatedly call that evening and being hung up on several times, Stan finally told me that it would be redelivered on the 15th, whats the point, at no charge. I call the morning of the 15th and was told it would be delivered. You would think that since they messed it up the day before they would make it a priority to make this delivery. Of course I had to tell the person that was receiving the order it was coming and at 11 am still no delivery. I called again and was told it was out for delivery and would be there soon. Well, again they couldnt get it there. If the person is not in the building then the delivery is refused and the person receiving the order was out of the office in the afternoon. I called back again and explained what happened and I said just forget it, cancel the order and all they could say was "Okay". Great customer service and on of the most important days of the year and you mess it up two days in a row. I was told that the florist wanted to take 700 deliveries for the 14th, I think that was a bit much since you cant get it all delivered in a timely fashion. I have never been more upset and I will never use this florist again!!!!!!!!!

I called last minute just before closing yesterday Saturday March 4th to ask if they delivered the Baptist hospital where my sister-in-law is after a very bad car accident on Friday evening. The woman I spoke with was extremely nice and patient even though I was calling just before closing. They were delivered within the hour that I called and ordered them. I gave a price range and expected something nicer than average. My mother-in-law text me a picture and after seeing them in person this afternoon I am beyond pleased with the arrangement that was delivered! It is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I counted around 17 lilies and countless other expensive flowers in the arrangement. It made my sister-in-law so happy. She loves flowers and these defeinitly did not disappoint. I paid a decent price but was amazed at how large and full the arrangement is for the price. If I ever need flowers in the Winston Salem area I will surely be using George K. Walker florist and I will be telling everyone I know to use them as well. Thank you SO much!!!!!! I couldnt be more pleased!

I have been a customer for 20 years. I have a house account. I went in store in September made a $53.00 purchase. Moved in October, completely forgot about the bill. My grandmother passed away on March 25th. So, I ordered my flowers as I always do, paid my balance and late fees. To be told, after 2 days of phone calls,2 hours before the funeral that my account was closed. I could not order the flowers unless I paid cash. I dont have time to come to the store 2 hours before the funeral. So, 20 years of loyalty to a business and when I needed the service I couldnt get any. Not only that, I couldnt get flowers for a funeral delivered anywhere else in the the 2 hours either. So, I will never use them again. I guess their crappie customer service is evident by the look of the store. It has gone down in the past few years but I continued doing business with them out of loyalty. Customer service goes a long way.

This florist has gone down hill in the past few years. My aunt died 2 years ago, went in store to help her teenage sons pick out flowers for their mother and the staff was rude and impatient with them, I assumed it was just a one time ordeal. My grandmother died this week. I ordered flowers, called for confirmation and was told everything was okay. Received a call several hours later after business hours and called back immediately only to be met with a voice mail and an answering service that couldnt help. Didnt reach someone until the next morning after calling from 730 am until 10 am only to be told there was a problem with my account and the flowers would not be delivered to her funeral, I was told 3 hours before the funeral. Horrible customer service, no loyalty or compassion for even their longest standing customers. Will not be returning here.

For the second year in a row, my husband ordered flowers for me for Valentines Day from George K Walker Florist. Last year, the flowers looked horrible when I received them. Some were wilted and based on what he paid for them, the arrangement looked cheap and thrown together. I did call about a replacement, but really felt bad doing that for my husbands sake. This year (2015) two of the roses were wilted and brown upon arrival. I thought about calling but didnt because I didnt want to make my husband feel bad - like he got me cheap flowers (they were not cheap). He already feels bad because I received the flowers on Saturday and by Monday, they were all pretty much dead. I know I can get a replacement but its not the same. I wont be using this florist nor recommending them to anyone I know.

My family member died last week . I used my local florist to call ( wire ) flowers once a week for the past 3 - 4 months . Sometimes it was every 2 weeks. This was expensive to do. My florist contacted this florist to do her final florial arangement for her funeral . She explained to their staff that we had used George Walker Florist for all the past arrangements ! The designer was rude and didnt care that I had used this florist for the past arangements ! I ended up using my florist in Charlotte, North Carolina and picking them up and driving the flowers to the funeral home in Winston Salem. My family, my family living in Winston, nor myself will never use this florist!

A friend passed away right before Christmas and with traveling myself, I only had a Saturday to find a florist to deliver flowers from 9 families by Sunday afternoon. After calling 3 florists who were closed for a long holiday weekend, I finally got a "live" person at George K Walker Florist. The person taking the order was so thorough, repeating all the names of the families contributing to the arrangement. I asked for a picture of the arrangement to be emailed to me and they said it wasnt usual but theyd try - and they did! Everything went off without a hitch. THANK YOU, George K Walker Florist!

The floral designers are some of the most talented in the industry! Absolutely suggest allowing the designers to create a unique one of a kind arrangement when ordering! Just tell them your price range, any specifications like the occasion or colors to include.. YOUR ARRANGEMENT WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT AND EXCEED EXPECTATIONS ! Their talent far surpasses the typical "paint by number " available on line (which they will gladly create if thats what you want).. Always friendly in store and over the phone... They appreciate their customers and it shows!
