Never went to North Hills before working in the area and dont intend to go back once if I ever move jobs. If you damage your vehicle due to their sloppy construction they wont help you out. If you park in temporary parking you will get ticketed and threatened with a tow. One of the elevators in the parking deck literally stopped working and free fell from the 2nd floor. Not to mention that the overall traffic flow isnt conducive to pretty much anything. It is a pain to drive in, decks are only 68" clearance and barely wide enough for anything larger than a small car, special events regularly block off portions that you think you should be able to drive through and even still being a pedestrian is horrible there. The few times I have decided to walk anywhere I routinely cut off by motorists just wanting to run over a pedestrian. There really isnt much that North Hills offers that cant be found elsewhere far easier. I dont see the appeal and certainly dont see why anyone would want live, work, or play here.

Its a great and innovative out-door shopping mall. The owners regularly hold large events for the community like music concerts, wine tasting festivals, and more. Theres tons of places to shop, eat, and entertain yourself. Its extremely impressive how Kane realty focused on making the complex walkable with wide sidewalks, interesting art sculptures to look at, and beautiful building facades. The one large drawback is traffic. North Hills is spread out in three areas. The areas are separated by Lassiter Mill Road on one boundary, and Six Forks Road on the other. Parking can be difficult to come by, but for pedestrians its a bit perilous to cross Six Forks Road on foot. The Lassiter Mill crossing was well engineered, but I think they need a better solution for the Six Forks Road crossing. If walking from the original part of the mall to the newer phase you have to walk against traffic coming in from Six Forks on a very narrow sidewalk, then cross the six lanes of Six Forks Road quickly.

Christine and I ventured back to the beach music on Thursdays. We have not been there at all last year so we decided to check it out. What a disappointment!!! We are 39 and 42 and 2 years ago the crowd there was young professionals and people that like to have a good time probably 25 - 60. This year, the band was really bad and the crows was what the movie theater is all about... a place for pre-teen and teenagers to get dropped off by the parents and have a good time. The dance floor was inundated with teens and the surroundings sitting down were grandparents. I enjoyed seeing young people trying to dance but if you are more than 20 ... dont go!!!! ... Unless you are that creepy guy with sunglasses that is watching from the side... OH, and dont go to the Fox and the Hound if you want a drink unless you are in to overpriced flat gin&tonics and rum and cokes

This mall used to be pretty fun but recently its just become a symbol of the daily oppression that teens are subjected to. Its an outdoor mall so there isnt much shopping, just food places and the movie theater which threw most of the crowd(in my opinion). Though lately theyve established a curfew for anyone under 18 which makes it much less appealing. There arent many places for teens to hangout on the weekend, and we do not expect to be home by 8 so the curfew is very difficult to deal with. If youre under 18 you have to have a parent with you after 8 or you are issued a citation which is pretty unfair. If you think about it, adult and teens are all capable of the same things, and if adult were issued a curfew there would be a big uproar but since its teens who are being punished no one really cares if we have anywhere to go.

if your new to Raleigh whatever you do Avoid this crap stain Like the plague, first off this mall has stores nobody cares about the buildings are nasty and dirty looking from the outside. The people who live around the area are extremely classis! which is when you treat someone differently based on their social class and they look down on the homeless and poor. even though they used to be poor half their lives and just got money within thirty years and they dont know how to use it or act typical Novea Riche Also I was watched in Jcpenney by one of the employees and old white woman and I look white so it wasnt a racial thing it was definitely a class thing because a lot of the homeless live in Raleigh. btw i am from Miami so I can tell who is rich and who is not and the wannabes in north hills arent.

what I love Starbucks...right next to the play area. Thank you from all of us moms. Movie Theater right next to a bunch of little restaurants. Pieology is so good. Stuff your face then go watch a matinee. TARGET...with Starbucks inside. Another one for us mommy folk. JCPenny with a salon and SEPHORAAAAAAAAA! What I dont like. Boutiques with skirts over $200. Shut up. Moms who put their little future debutantes in Lilly Pulitzer dresses and enormous bows on their heads to "play" in the courtyard. Its a shopping center not a tea room. Sweaty skinny women walking around in their workout clothes after going to the gym. Take a shower, youre not at Walmart ffs

Few open air malls can compete with North Hills when it comes to creating a community atmosphere. Granted, it lacks the sheer variety of Crabtree or Triangle Mall, but it offers everything the busy family could need. Youve got your major anchor stores, Target for essentials and groceries, movies for all ages and a social calendar that boasts something for everyone. Best of all, the mall goes all out for Christmas, offering two giant trees and creating a veritable winter wonderland, even if it doesnt have a Santa Claus. Also, dont bother looking for parking in the square, just head down ramp and park in the underground lot, its far easier.

Kimberly Jones- Im a teen and I go to North Hills all the time and I can tell you that the cerfew is not really upheld at all. Me and my friends were there just last week until at least 11.00. No one told us to leave. We even asked one of the police officers to take our picture, and he happily agreed! The cerfew is just there so if you are a teen, and are there after 8:00 , AND makeing TROUBLE, they can ask you to leave or give you a citation. They are NOT trying to oppresse us.

This review is for the Ben & Jerrys at North Hills: Not particularly friendly or helpful. Only shared useful information AFTER I ordered and it was too late to change anything. Insanely overpriced! Uncomfortably cramped space inside. Several flavors were mushy and partially melted in the freezer cases. Bathroom was gross. For a company that brags about being all natural, I thought they would have a recycling receptacle, but there were none in sight.

I have gone to North Hills since 1983 when I came to Raleigh NC. I think jCPenneys is the only original business that is still there. Being from Washington DC it remindes me today of Georgetown in DC. It is wonderfully laid out with lots of fun shops. If you go you may need to park in the underground deck for parking in the top area is very limited. Also if you are going to Target in North Hills you need to drive around back to get to it.
