Eastern Hills Mall is a great mall with lots of great stores and TONS of parking so you never need to drive around forever looking for a spot you can always park near an entrance. It is never as crazy as Galleria or Boulevard so there is always plenty of room to move around and get your shopping done in peace. It has Sears, JC Penneys, Bon Ton and Macys as anchor stores and then has all the other great stores you can get in the other big malls, Victorias Secret, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Laux, Gap, Express, New York and Co., Payless, and more. But then it also has a ton of stores you can only find at Eastern Hills like Raff and Friends toy store, George and Company is the best place to get costumes and other novelty gifts and a bunch of other great local businesses. And then there is the entertainment... Dave and Busters is a great place to watch a game or play a few (and have a few drinks in case the Sabres or Bills arent winning), Sports Performace Park is a fun place to hit some baseballs and if you would ratehr catch a movie head to Dipson Theatres for a show. All in all this mall is highly, highly underrated. It is the perfect place to do some stress-free shopping!

Worst mall Id had ever been to. Got harassed by one of the male janitors, and then when I asked him to leave me alone, he called his daughter and asked her to come fight me, tried to and said he was gonna have her beat me up, (in front of another employee- pretzel Auntie Annes place). I called the mall office, filed a complaint with the security guard, and the company he worked through, never got a call back even months later, went in, and saw him still working, met his boss, she said to me that I was lying about the report because one of the girls at the pretzel place sided with him. Accuse a customer of lying, really. I asked if she watched the cameras, she said no. She said she was not going to fire him because other people said something different, so he ran to his manager and co-workers begging them to side with him so he wouldnt lose his job, hes such a punk. I clarified with her that she did know he threatened me though, and she said yes. So pathetic. They both should be fired. Dont shop here. You cant even go there and relax, its worthless. No good stores. Go to a good mall, especially females, not trying to be harassed!

Low foot traffic for an indoor mall, not the "hip" mall in WNY by any means. Occupancy is pretty low, and there are constantly stores closing or relocating, with free if my favorites remaining. That being said, if mall walking if your preferred exercise, there are almost always (usually on the elderly side) people who are doing the same. The most redeeming quality of the Eastern Hills Mall is that while there are many traditional mall chains, there are many locally owned businesses who are tenants. Also there are major redevelopments in the works for the mall, apparently within the next few years almost the whole place will be demoed except the central concourse with the fountains. This will be done with the goal of a "community center" with apartments, hotels, grocery and convenience stores, etc. Ehh, Im not holding my breath.

The mall had the potential to be a premier shopping location. I think the May 1989 opening of the Walden Galleria Mall destroyed this places ability to become the elite Shopping Center in the area. For my taste, there is a lot of space between locations that actually want to visit. Their rescued pet store is adorable and really seems to care for the animals. This is the manufacturing location for Pure Integrity candles. Once you get one of those you will never need to shop at Yankee ever again. There is a pretty delicious Duffs chicken wings located in this mall, and it is one of the few Sears stores that is still open, plus that contains a Lands End store. The Eastern Hills Mall is still available place and I do see a purpose to visiting it.

The problem with the mall now is that you are getting a lot of riffraff from the city. Its turning out to be like the galleria mall. I have spoken to some of the shops and since the riffraff has been increasing so has crime. They need to remove the bus line from the mall. That is why there are not more stores on the east side of buffalo. There has been so much shop lifting that store actually close.. Its like locust, they come destroy and move on. Dont forget the reason stores are leaving because the lack of foot traffic. People think the mall is throwing good stores out. They must increase foot traffic or it will become another ghetto store. You can see now the type of stores moving in. I love that mall but its taking a turn for the worse

Its true that Eastern Hills Mall does not have the stores you generally find in every other mall but I love that it has so many independent Buffalo businesses like Pure Integrity Soy Candles, Honey Hill Pets, the Piano and Organ Center music store, and the recently opened Buffalo Gallery and Gift Shop. I would much rather enjoy the malls central location and easy parking and support local business. Sure in the traditional mall sense it may be considered a "dead mall" but as a place to get great unique items you dont see everywhere and support local businesses it cant be beat! I can shop online for all the generic retailers offered at the "popular mall" and not fight for parking or deal with the crowds.

Its only 3 minutes from where I live so it makes sense that I would go there a lot. But these days, Id much rather take my time to drive to a different mall. Theyve slowly gotten rid of essential stores that every mall needs and replaced them with places like a martial arts center, a sports performace center, a vape store, and other pointless little stores. Theres only one restaurant, Duffs, aside from the food court. Duffs is a great restaurant and its always packed, but the location is so small so theres always a long wait. Another highlight of the mall WAS the Dave & Busters, however, they recently moved to a more successful mall nearby. Now I have almost no reason to visit the Eastern Hills.

I love this mall! I grew up in it and my childhood is deeply embedded in its halls, but its losing its stores. Stores like Old Navy, Aéropostale, Pacsun, Mrs. Fields, Dave and Busters, etc have moved out. Also Gap is moving out on 09/25/2015! Literally all of my childhood clothing is from that store! Im heartbroken! Only Express, Victorias Secret, and American Eagle Outfitters are the stores I like, but the do have good anchor stores like Sears, Macys, Bon-Ton, and JCPenny. Also their food court is nice, I love La Rosa New York Pizzeria, theres also Subway and Auntie Annes. The mall lately is very quiet and not busy, but I still love Eastern Hills Mall!!!!! Save the stores!!!!!

In terms of a Mall it falls short of expectation, with stores that frequently close up shop and move elsewhere. This mall has also lost a few anchor stores, such as Macys and Dave & Busters. It is not void of smaller chain and local stores at the time of this review, but feels like a ghost town from lack of a presence of people on any given day. I would suggest other malls in the area if you are looking for a more wholesome shopping experience. If youre looking for a quick in and out, then this one is for you.
