Decided to edit my last review. Im sad that my once favorite mall is like a ghost town. Am I/you looking forward to the coming changes?? No need to shop here right now though. Too many phone/gadget and foreign jewelry stores. The Mitchells Spa cant keep my stylists or anybody etc. Could Dave and Busters have brought in an entirely different crowd? Sometimes I do not even feel safe. While walking odd men are sitting on benches staring and watching women/girls every other day. Approaching them awkwardly. Harassing them. It has become a hang out for bums, beggars and thieves. Ive even witnessed thieves grabbing merchandise, running out, jumping into get away cars right outside the doors.(multiple times) WHAT IS GOING ON? The grounds are not maintained like before. Parking lots are trashed. Mall halls are dark and empty. Sometimes reeking aroma of what smells like sewage. Air conditioning is hardly on (conserving? or broken?) Bathrooms are disgusting. Big departments stores left, some chain stores left, Hal-mark left, Alibaba left, Beyoutiful Butterfly left, Apricot Lane left and so many more. Some stores just changed into outlet stores with cheap stuff. Mall security and mall employees look miserable. One good thing is its still not crowded. Unfortunately I have no need to return. My original review 1 year or so ago: Not crowded! Great parking! Easy in easy out. Its a little outdated and needs a facelift over all its enjoyable. Great for families. Personally LOVE the new consignment store! I drop off a bag of clothes that I dont wear anymore and take a nice walk, grab coffee or lunch and then pick up my cash from the clothing sale. By far my favorite mall to shop. So glad to see Cary Towne Center is changing for the good.

I have worked at all the malls within the Raleigh / Durham area and can say without a doubt that this is one of, if not the, worst shopping mall or shopping center in the region. Only Northgate is worse, and that is due more to its location and former criminal problems. I have seen janitorial staff walk right past a gross mess and refuse to clean it up at Cary Town Center, I saw this personally while working at a kiosk in this particular mall. The stores are rather lack luster and their product selection leaves much to be desired. While working there I noticed that a lot of people who live in Cary visited the chain stores in this mall only to return products purchased from the same stores at Crabtree Valley or Southpoint locations. Cary town center is close to NC State, however Crabtree Valley mall is not a difficult commute at all and is more than worth the travel. I have actually biked from NC State to Crabtree Valley Mall and back so how bad can it be? If you want to stay local I would suggest Cameron Village, North Hills, and Crabtree Valley Mall. All these shopping centers offer a far better atmosphere and much finer stores. If youre willing to go further afield I would also consider Southpoint or Triangle Town Center. Southpoint is quite a drive but the stores are great and I like the movie theater there. As for Triangle Town Center, even though you have to take Capital Blvd to get to there Id gladly suffer the commute any day to avoid Cary Town Center. In the end, the only decent thing about Cary Town Center is that on Halloween they encourage parents to bring their children in for trick or treating.

Having lived in Cary for over 30 years, Ive watched as the "Cary Mall" underwent several renovations. Cary Towne Center is getting to that point once again. Theyve lost many of their key anchor stores, and there simply isnt the shopping selection it once had in its glory days. Simply said, some days the South Hills shopping center seems tro have more foot traffic that Cary Towne Center, and thats saying A LOT. However, during the holiday shopping season, its ridiculous. Parking is a pain, and the bottle neck traffic in and out of the mall is probably some of the worst in all of the Triangle. If CTC has a favorite store of yours, thats great. If not, and youre looking for a mall with a great "window shopping" selection, I;d go elsewhere...

Large regional shopping mall that I would classify as "at-risk". This is your standard suburban shopping mall, but it doesnt really have anything unique to draw people to it. Sears recently closed, and with Crabtree being so close, I would not be surprised if Macys and Belk vacated as well. Dillards does not have any other stores within about 15 miles so I think it is safe unless they open a new location in a new mall in western Wake. This mall is doing fairly well right now but has the potential to turn into Oak Hollow Mall at any point. Oak Hollow is in High Point, was built in the same era (mid 90s), and lost 4 of its 5 anchors in the last 4 years. The same could very easily happen here.

Movie makers take note: This is your next Zombie Apocalypse location! Dont worry about exaggerating the damage or making it look run down and creepy. Hell, on a good day this place looks like its falling a part anyways. Lights in Dillards seem like theyve been off for years. Talking to business owners - property management has been upping prices for store owners while ignoring service requests for ceiling leaks or plumbing issues. Before long this place will be the next South Hills Mall.

This place is pretty miserable. Macys us the most recent maybe department store to move out, so theres no foot traffic. There are a bunch of little stores with specialty offerings, but how many mobile phone stores does one mall need? The food court offerings are generic, with the only names being chick-fil-a and Sbarro pizza. Its an ugly looking behemoth of a structure, but at least its clean on the inside. If you need a shopping experience, just go to Crabtree

A somewhat outdated and fairly forgotten location store wise. I do still like many of the stores here though. Its nice for a quick shop if you also need to visit a place nearby like at Crossroads or dont have time for hitting Crabtree or Southpoint. I take the girl I care for here in the summer to play in the play area and explore Dave & Busters. Becoming more of an entertainment type place than a shopping place I think.

Pretty underrated mall. The inside is pretty nice and well kept despite the fact that the mall is now over 39 years old, and a lot of the mall has been renovated within the last 5 years. The Dave and Busters is awesome, the food court has plenty of choices, and the play areas for kids are nice. There are quite a few vacant stores in this mall, including the abandoned Macys store, but other than that, I have no complaints.

This used to be a great, fun mall. However in recent years some of the anchor stores have left. This triggered a bunch of the other decent stores to leave as well. Dave and Busters has helped keep this place alive. So has the development of the apartments and such around them. Not a horrid place, but its popularity is waning. A reflection of the shopping habits of the society in general? You decide.

I think that the best word to describe this mall is "tired." It has a lot of vacancies and there isnt a lot happening there most days. My son and I went there on a warm day to hunt Pokemon and it was a fine place for that. I dont think that I would do much serious shopping there, but it does have a basic food court and a few of the regular stores that youd expect. The carousel is fun for little kids.
