Great assistance from the floor staff, however, the manager on duty was uninterested in helping me with my purchase. I came in to buy paint and blinds for my fiancé and I to fix up our sons room. My fiancé has been sick with shingles all week and has been bed ridden. He sent me with a SIGNED check from the equity line of credit and his ID with matching signature to purchase the items we needed. I went to check out and he cashier was processing the check, however, she is, obviously, a new employee and ran the check not one, not two, not three, but FOUR times wrong In the machine. By the fourth time the check naturally declined. I had just purchased items from Harbor Freight with one of the checks before going to HD, which I had no problem with, so I knew it should not have declined. She sent me to the "service desk" so the manager on duty could assist me. I explained that the girl tried to process the payment wrong four times and that is why it declined. I told her my fiancé was very sick at home but she could call him if needed. I even said she could take down my ID info as well. She was rude and treated me like a criminal for trying to pay with my fiancé check and ID. She told me he needed to come up to the store to process the payment. Now, dont you think he would have come with me if he were physically able to?! And if I was conspiring to write a phony check, DONT YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE WRITTEN IT TO MYSELF and deposited it into my bank account?!? I will NEVER go back to this location simply because that manager had no heart and she seriously treated me like a criminal instead of a loyal customer. We have spent SO much money there, but we will not anymore. There are ways to verify identity without someone having to be there. And I had his ID for crying out loud!!! I ended up paying for the paint out of my checking account but had to leave the blinds and other items behind. Very frustrating to feel like you have wasted your time.

I am absolutely insulted by the conversation I just had. I requested a quote to resurface my kitchen cabinets. I had an appointment scheduled for this Saturday to meet someone to take a look. A service rep called to confirm the appointment and asked if my husband would be there. I said no. She then said she strongly suggests that he is there. I told her that I am handling this. She strongly suggested again that he needed to be there and that the designer preferred him to be there. I already said that I am handling this. She continued to tell me he needed to be there. Did we just jump back 60 years ago where I have to get my husbands permission to make a decision? I understand they may want him there to see if he has any input, but I already told them I would be handling this. I told them that I would go somewhere else. I may return all the flooring I just purchased as well. I will definitely be using someone else in the future.

DO NOT USE FOR HOME/KITCHEN SERVICES specifically COUNTERTOPS If I could give it zero stars I would. Do not get new countertops from this home depot if ypu expect any kind of professionalism. The entire project has been a nightmare and Home Depot who says they act as your "genera contractor" simply disappeared. I will never use them again for any type of home service and would rather take my business elsewhere for anything else. Do yourself a favor and take your business to someone local who may actually care about your kitchen. I was left without a countertop for weeks and my sink still isnt mounted several months later.

Horrible I waited on line at the tool rental for 40 mins just to be that I had to have the truck I wanted to rent back before 10pm or else I would be charged $99 extra. Mind you I called beforehand and informed the associate that I had to be in South Park before 9:30pm. I was skipped by customers that came after me, who then complained about their service. Not to mention I was told I should rent and purchase an entirely different item from what I came there for. As a result of all of this I missed my pick up in South Park and wasted my time at Home depot in Matthews.. Never again will I go there.

Absolutely love this store so many helpful people. Me and my wife had the best experience yesterday we spent a total of 3 hours there yesterday and we have the best customer service. We both opened new Home Depot credit card and the young lady Shelby helped us thought the whole process she was very welcoming and patient with us thought the whole process. Our overall experience was amazing we most definitely will be back soon.

I been calling this home depot wanting to talk with someone in charge of kitchen and bath because I need to renovate my kitchen counter-change it to granite and no one was there to help me. I called and they kept transferring me back to customer service, I also left my phone number, name and no one called me back..looks like I am the one begging for their services..Ill just take my business somewhere else..perhaps Lowes?

Sucked! Went by Wednesday evening, July 5th, to buy a FireX smoke detector. The shelf was empty, but the associates said there should be 30 of them in inventory, but they could not locate them. I would give them a zero rating, but the associates were very kind and worked hard to try and the smoke detectors to no avail.

This is the worst Home Depot I ever shopped at people didnt know where things were they send you the one under store and theyre down the other in the store and furthermore they probably dont have what you need anyways thats the experience I just had at Home Depot thank you bye

Nice and clean....Not sure why there are 2 sinks in the ladies restroom that dont work...especially at HOME DEPOT...at K-Mart I could understand but not at The Home Depot. Laziness I will assume or maybe its a paperwork corporate thing...lets go with that.

Store layout is very different from other local HD stores. Parking lot is poorly designed and dangerous. Overgrown at ends shrubbery aisles and little traffic control. My work van was hit not long ago due these reasons.

Rented equipment at this location that didnt function properly. When it was returned, after the equipment did not funtion, the employee at the desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. Will not return to this location.

Cust service has improved,csr more attentive, always someone willing to assist me. I am not a pro, just an avg handyman,. but have found lots of knowledge from employees in plumbing, lumber and hardware.

Chain store but down home service. This is one of the larger stores in the area. Selection is always great and service is top notch. Whenever we need some home products this is our destination.

It took forever to find someone to assist me in my search. I had to go to the register to get some help. A help button in some aisles or more reps would help.
