Until the last two visits, would have absolutely said five stars. Now that they have been bought out, I am realizing that part of what I loved was the actual shopping experience, by which I mean the soft classical music playing in the background, the peaceful vibe, the relaxed atmosphere, the free coffee samples, the shopping carts already set up, the upscale look. Now, the atmosphere is rushed, tense and chaotic, if classical music is playing you cant tell, no more greeting with coffee samples, employees are blocking aisles stocking and tensely running around so that it is very hard to shop, favorite products are gone, you have to set up your own shopping carts which creates chaos and delays as you enter the store, there is less organic produce, what once felt like a beautifully run place now feels like total chaos, far less upscale and what was once a delightful and relaxed shopping experience is fraught and stressful. You have absolutely ruined what was once a beautiful store and a delightful shopping experience. You have taken the elegant spirit and soul out of the Fresh Market.

I have had one experience of good customer service there from a gentlemen who worked in meat. Otherwise the people who check you out always seem like I am an inconvenience that they have to ring me out and none of them ever look happy. Considering the type of store it is I expect better service. I shop at Whole Foods and Earth Fare whenever I can but unfortunately because of distance Fresh Market is more convenient; but much less of a pleasure to shop at. Also the quality is lower. I bought a pie from them and was surprised to see that it had high fructose corn syrup in it. Also they dont have a meat welfare standard and they have no grass fed beef options. Thumbs down lame.

They have a few hard to find foods, like fresh figs, but are so far overpriced as to cause customers to laugh out loud. I go in for a few vegies and fruits not available elsewhere, then I leave! Their deli counter is a total disappointment to me except for the whole rotisserie chickens. Did I mention how overpriced they are? Harris Teeter is right down the road, folks, and generally both better and cheaper. With a new Ingles going in 1/4 mile away and maybe even a Publix just down the other road soon, Im guessing they arent long for this world. Sad.

I have been in this market several times and there always seems to be a leak in the roof with a bucket strategically place on the floor to catch the drips (which it doesnt, as I have seen a small puddle around it on the floor) and so it is a safety hazard. It is a pain to step around the orange safety cone and its ridiculous its gone on so long with out being repaired. Prices inflated, seems a bit "tired" of a store to me. Bring on Trader Joes please!

Are we going down hill? I hope not. With the new owners causing some issues with employees about hours and such, there is some areas experiencing a not so "Fresh" product. No ribs today or smoked bourbon salmon. Fruit and veggies looking a little weathered. But the bakery is awesome as ever!!! Keep trying cause youre all we have here in Hendersonville. And dont tick off your devoted employees, we have a long relationship of trust with them.

Fresh Market has been my go-to store for more than a decade. The store is clean, organized, and a pleasure to shop in. Recently the Tuesday sales and Thursday Meal Deals make it exceptional. I have found the employees to be helpful even when very busy, such as pre holiday times. Plus I am aware that FM donates food daily to local charities. For me, its a Win/Win! Thanks FM for being in Hendersonville!

Hendersonvilles version of Whole Foods, you will find a lot to like in this store if you are prepared to pay a premium price. Great variety of many kinds of gourmet and specialty items. Not the place for regular grocery shopping but fun to browse and splurge on things you normally dont find in supermarkets. But it wont replace your favorite grocery.

Its a refreshing environment of specialized products that are delicious and to die for. The staff are friendly and hard working. The knowledge of those in meats made my choices easy. The quality of the meats and seafood are not matched any where locally by competitors.

Service is terrible. Completely ignored in the meat market. Guy came out, looked at me. Then turned around and went in the back. Deli, bakery staff saw me but didnt seem to care. Went to Harris Teeter and spent my money. Wasnt the first time either. Likely the last.

For a place thats called "The Fresh Market" Ive found the crab cakes frozen quite often. Seems like a chronic lack of cashiers is a feature of the place making it difficult and frustrating to actually make a purchase. Cant wait for Publix to open across the street.

This place is gorgeous - one of my friends describes it as "The Disney Land of food!" Walking in feels like going to an indoor fair, or an upscale farmers market. Tons of great teas, chocolates, organic produce and meats, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

To Chris and the great people at our Fresh Market in Hendersonville N.C. thank you. The Valentines dinner Box was excellent! Everything was fresh and perfect. We can hardly wait to see what you have for St. Patricks Day! Thanks again for our Excellent dinner.

Love Fresh market, from front door to deli to back. Only one issue, they seem to always be out of hot deli food at the 4 oclock hour of the day. It doesnt seem to matter which one I shop. Must be a chain wide issue?

Used to go to the meat market, now I steer clear. Recommend most the rest of it...veggies are over priced and not always fresh...but the meat department has gone down in the last 5-6 months...hope it turns around.

This place is a bit overpriced, and watch out for their packaged greens, twice now I didnt check and when I got home I found the greens were going bad. I do really like their rotisserie chickens

the Fresh markets are great BUT the new one on Hendersonville Highway in Arden is the Best of the Bunch--the Bakery there is SUPERB, Bar None- the others need to take lessons there..

I guess this is where the rich people do their grocery shopping. Its alot more expensive than Harris Teeter, Trader Joes & Hendersonville Co-Op. Wont be coming back.

Great selection of organic and/or natural food. Great meat department and Bakery. They make some great in house food. Staff is friendly and prices are responsible.

I go primarily for the Kerrygold Butter that they sell. They often have good sales for this, and they do also have a limited selection of organic produce.

I really love the selection of produce at the Fresh Market. All the produce Ive ever purchased at this location has always been delicious and fresh.

Great supermarket with fresh food and great selection. Only reason for 4 stars is how expensive everything is, but other than that great place.

Great selection of hard to find foods & such. Staff is OK at best most days depending on dept. Cashiers are rude & lack enthusiasm for sure.
