THEY LIE ABOUT PRIME BEEF!! Absolutely inedible. My father (a man of 62 years of age/grill-master) and I came to Gate city and bought what we were told were "PRIME aged NY Strip". My father and I took the man at the counters word that these were, in fact, prime. Got home, grilled them to medium-rare, and sat down to what we thought would be a memorable meal (hadnt seen My dad in six years) NO. NO! This meat was almost grisel throughout. We paid $40.00 for a pound and a half of chewy, disgusting meat. NEVER AGAIN! DONT GO, THEY LIE ABOUT PRIME BEEF!!! BTW, were going back tomorrow to express our concerns to the owner and show him the pieces of scrap meat he had the audacity to sell as Prime. We will NEVER go back. Thanks for ruining what couldve been an amazing reunion. Enough said.

LOVE love this place. Were CONVINCED this is the best place to purchase quality meat in the entire state. BEST STEAKS (and other cuts of meat) weve ever had in our life (including very high end restaurants here in NC, MO or TX). Its also WONDERFUL to go in and purchased freshly prepared pre-made dinners (pastas, salads, meatloaf, veggies/sides, breakfast meals and sooo much more). Pretty good wine selection, too.

Passed by this weekend to pick up a white chicken lasagna and ended up walking out with FRESH flounder from the coast of NC. It was definitively fresh and perfect for our Peruvian Ceviche. I will , from now on, be always on the lookout for fresh fish over there. I wish I could attach a picture.

I have bought Prime beef here and it is indeed excellent Prime beef. Lamb racks also excellent. Prepared chicken parmesan also excellent and a favorite for my wife to get as a give away meal or for ourselves.
