My parents and I are the owners of Currituck Feed and Seed. Mr. Deleon makes a very inaccurate portrayal of us in his review. He incorrectly portrays our policy on chicks. We have a 48 hour guarantee on all standard breed chicks, not a 24 hour guarantee. Also you MUST bring back the dead chick and have a receipt to get a replacement chick. Thats on baby chicks not adult birds. I really do not believe that we would have acted the way Mr. Deleon said or unless he acted unreasonable himself. We can do our best to explain how to take care of the birds, but we cannot guarantee that they will live once they leave our store. That depends on how their new owners take care of them. Our birds are healthy and well taken care of at our store. Chicks die sometimes and if we will work with you within reason if you act in a reasonable manner. We cannot replace chicks twice. If you ask us to do and we recognize you, you will be denied. We have lots of positive reviews on facebook. We are very kind to people. If you have a problem with us please contact us directly so we can handle the problem an please dont just write a negative review that we cannot remove that publicly demeans our business.

I have ALWAYS had a pleasant experience @ Currituck Feed & Seed! Everyone there is always very kind & helpful. They always get the items I need & load them in my truck for me, as I am handicapped. Never has anyone complained about doing this for me. On 1 occasion I called to see what time they closed because I couldnt get there until 6:00 & they said they closed at 5:00 but would gladly have someone meet me there at 6:00 to get what I needed. I arrived at 6;00 & Aaron got my item & loaded it for me with no problem. They went above & beyond in my opinion, as I dont know of any other store that would do that! I will gladly purchase all of my feed needs there even if another store has my item on sale. I do not mind paying for GREAT customer service!!

I bought two chicks from them this past April. Their store was clean and all the chicks looked healthy. They answered my questions (this is my first time raising chickens) and were very kind. The person who got the chicks out for me did grab the wrong breed at first for one of my choices, but I mentioned it and he apologized and switched then. He might have just misheard me at first. Both girls are doing extremely well and are great layers! Ive already had to give away eggs to family because I couldnt keep up with them. :) Theyre sweet and funny, too!

My wife bought 6 fowls (chicken and guinea mix) on two different occasions. All died within days of purchase. Theyre return policy is that it has to die within a day. They died at two days after purchase and still would not work with us. Same thing happen to our friends. Be careful purchasing fowl from them.

Always a nice experience. I purchased 5 baby chicks from them. One did end up being a roo but I know silkies are hard to sex. Always helpful and nice here. I also love going in and seeing the adorable Chihuahuas.

They had the bronze turkeys, Pekin ducks, and all 4 breeds of chicks i was looking for, in one place. The prices for chicks are competitive. A little pricey for older birds. I do appreciate most are sexed.
