I went in today, excited to be in a comic store again. Unfortunately, walking in was a nightmare. The store was a complete mess (as it is every single time I come in.) The one older gentleman working today was a complete jerk to all of his customers, he even snatched a figure out of a young mans hands and said "well if its cheaper online then you can just buy it there!" The staff I actually enjoy seeing is the man with the long pony tail, and the upbeat gal who is more than happy to help anyone who asks. The older man continued to sit back behind the counter eating, completely ignoring everyone, and just being a complete jerk in general. When I asked him how much one of the star wars figures were, he very angrily got up, grabbed the box from my hand (very rudely might I add) and told me the price in a very annoyed way. He completely killed my mood, and the mood of everyone else around him. I will not be coming back to that store as long as hes there, and I strongly urge everyone to either go to pennyworths comics, or heroes arent hard to find, where the staff is always smiling and friendly, and will gladly have a conversation with you about comic books. (Not to mention, there prices are actuallu accurate, and not over priced like rebal base.)

Have been going to this awesome shop off and on for years. I first found this little slice of heaven when it was at 5309 E Independence Blvd. Then I thought I had lost it years later but found it again at its current location. Great staff, great service. I have sold many things to the store, and have always been given a fair and reasonable price via cash or credit. I also have bought many things from Rebel Base and the prices have always been great. I popped in for the first time the other day with my wife after about a year and the place looks better than ever. Gonna start shopping here again real soon. Even the Mrs. saw some things she wanted.... Why waste time with Amazon and Ebay (your Amazon and Ebay stores rock) for my action figure needs, when Rebel Base is right at home and has an awesome selection.

Its a nice shop with a relatively decent comic and graphic novel selection. It looks like they cater to toy collectors and also offer ccg merchandise (like mtg, pokemon, etc.) The staff is always attentive and eager to offer suggestions based on what youve picked out or on request. It gets tough sometimes to browse through the graphic novels, as theyre alphabetized by title instead of separated by distributer/alphabetized, though. I personally really like the ease of opening an account for the weekly drop, the ability to special order older graphic novels missing from my collection, and the ability to come in once every couple months to purchase all my held items (dont live close by and graphic novels dont come out as often for series). They really work with you to make it happen!

One of the best places to find hidden gems and all sorts of comics and collectibles. Only glaring issue is that you can drastically tell they need more space. It is overpacked way to hard to maneuver in there. Sometimes the staff have trouble geting to items and I sometimes feel if I touch something the whole place would collapse. Moving on, the staff have always had the higest quality of service, always willing and happy to discuss current or upcoming events, movies ect. They are friendly and relatable. I have never felt pressured or ridiculed for lack of knowledge of an item or comic. Overall this is probably the best place, in Charlotte, for your collecting, shopping and nerdy things.

This is the best place in Charlotte and surrounding areas to get anything comics or collectibles, period. I live way up in the University area so to get here is quite a drive, but its well worth it. I love how everything from the floor to the walls are covered in goodies. Other comic stores around Charlotte (wont say who) dont seem to keep up their stock, almost as if they order too few comics. But Rebel Base on the other hand, has every comic Ive needed and Ive been coming here since I moved to Charlotte three years ago.

While this store has lots of cool stuff- its almost impossible to find or get at. I have found some great gems here- and it can be a place to find back issues that are off the shelves elsewhere... but they need double the space to properly display all they stuff. Staff can be helpful or sometimes useless. The store can feel dirty or messy. They have an insane amount of toys here- so much that they dont even know if they have something in stock. Its worth going here but be prepared to leave frustrated.

This is your classic comic book store. While they dont have the best selection of silver age stuff, they have an extraordinary selection of Bronze Age. The Service is wonderful, they help you with what you need and they dont hover around you. Biggest selection of toys in a comic book store that Ive ever seen. One bad thing is that the place is really small with a lot of stuff so it gets messy sometimes.

I like what they have here the only issue is you have to go when the owner is there.... The other employees wont negotiate prices or let you see the extra stock behind the counter :( They say you have to come back when the owners here on a different day but I drive 45min just to come here... So I left without my item that I knew was on the shelf in the back.... oh well maybe next time Ill call ahead.

This is a good place for comics they have all types, from the Big Marvel/DC down to many small print companies. They also have a large selection of old and newer Toys and statues. There is a lot to get past in the looks but they do have a good selection and their prices are always fair and if you want it they will do their best to get it.

Great place for mid-80s star wars collectibles and open-box items. Comics were good, though I didnt look through them all. If youre in Charlotte and looking for star wars things, its worth going into as they have boxes you can go through that arent online yet. But be warned, its small. And a bit dusty. But awesome.

Found this place on a scavenger hunt like thing during a convention in Charlotte. Awesome items inside!! I loved looking around this hidden shop. People are great as well. Would love to come back to look at all the cool things again and again.
