I called this Toys R Us Pineville store looking for a Paws Patrol Skys High Flying CHOPER and a Paws patrol Ryders Rescue ATV. after several attempts to actually get a person to answer the phone I finally got through. I talked to a sales girl who took my information, waited at least 10 minutes then they hung up. So called back got another person who went to check to see if they had the items Iwanted. I waited another 10 to 15 minutes and several times other people asked if I had been helped the last person who asked this I told him I still havent heard if they found the items and he said to me "Well when they pay us minimum wages what do you expect! Put yourself into our shoes and see what you would do then, he told me I would have to call back and ask for the Manager and let him look for it!" I could not believe it! He then hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and so done said he was ONE OF THE MANAGERS, when I told him what just took place and that I thought the persons comments were way out of line he said sorry and then went to look for the items I was looking for! What a terrible experience. Hoping a REAL MANAGER OF TJIS STORE CALLS ME. I know minimum wage is not much but its a job and to tell a perspective customer this is way out of line. This store is off my list!

I visited this store to return a gift and make a purchase 3 days after Christmas. There was no staff on the floor to help with questions or to locate items. The store was gross. The Customer Service desk were the only 2 registers open. All other registers were closed. I had to wait in a long line almost 20 minutes (maybe more) with 3 distracted kids. The cashier was nice. She said the customer service desk was the only registers open because they cut hours. Why would they cut hours 3 days after Christmas when people return gifts, exchange and purchase items with gift cards they received for Christmas? I left and tried to call the store 20 minutes later because my son thought he left something behind and no one answered the phone. I called all day the next day during store hours until around 5pm and no one answered the phone. Finally I gave up and called Customer Relations. Ill see how far that gets me. I will probably not visit this store again.

Horrible, horrible horrible. For starters, today 12/20/2011, if you call the store, the recording says the store is closed and to call back. 1st call at 7:30am and it is now 9:45 am. Secondly, I placed an online order and selcted store pickup, because it was available. Well my order was just cancelled "by the store" saying they do not have the items. So not true. I was just in the store to get another item and saw the items I ordered. I assumed they would be alerting me any moment now that my order was ready for pick up. Also, they staff is horrible, you better know where to look for stuff and have some time on your hands because they employees are not willing to help you and they really dont seem to care at all. I dont understand why these people work here. I would avoid this store is possible. This is an ablsolute last resort location.

Overall, the staff at this location is excellent. They are helpful and friendly and do a pretty good job keeping the shelves stocked despite the high volume of sales they do. The parking lot and building exterior undoubtedly need a facelift and perhaps renovation, but if you can look past that, youll get a good shopping experience at this location. Looking at some of the other reviews here, people need to keep in mind that the Toys R Us website and the local storefront locations are not fully-integrated. So if you have a customer service issue with the Toys R Us website, you really have to "take it up" with the websites call center customer service. Thats frustrating, but its the way it is. The staff and even managers at the local storefront arent accountable for truck deliveries and online orders.

I had 2 layaways here. I paid both layaways off online. Now i am waiting on a bike which was told at first it would take 3 to 5 days. Then another employee told me it would be 7 to 10 days. Another said it should be there Saturday since i paid it off last Friday and told me to come back Saturday. Why do the employees all have different time frames? They should be on one accord. Well any way i call 12pm Saturday to see did it come and the recording said that the store is closed. I googled the store to find out that friday hours was from 7am to 12 am and Saturday theyre closed. Why didnt they tell me this instead of telling me to come back Saturday. The customer service at this store sucks. For now on Ill go to concord....

The customer service is horrible. I call all the time to check to see if my order has shipped to the store but no one answers. I filed a complaint with the company, which I was suppose to of received a call from the store manager but have yet to hear from anyone. I havent received a tracking order for my sons almost 500 Christmas toy. Ive always had a problem with this toys r us and the employees in there dont know anything. I had to go into the store to speak with someone ( because no one answers the phone) about my sons toys being shipped to my house instead of to the store because the item is so big. Their response was I will need to take it out piece by piece.

Came in at 8:55 on a Thursday night with my daughter looking for a particular backpack and lunch tote no longer available online. We couldnt find so we settled for something else. When we went to check out the cashier asked us if we found what we were looking for I told her we were looking for another backpack and lunch tote. She stopped everything she was doing to find us what we wanted she went all the way to the back and found us the exact backpack and lunch tote we were looking for. It is very rare to have someone go above and beyond to help you a half hour before closing.

I put a powerwheel mini cooper on lay-a-way at the beginning of October for my sons December birthday. This order was paid off on 11/9/12 and was supposed to deliver this on the next truck. Currently we have never received this order and I can never get anyone to answer the phone or help me when I go in person. I have been on the phone with the corporate office all morning and no one will help me either. I will never shop here again and am very upset that it seems like I will be out $350.

Where do I begin? You had to be there to understand the ineptitude. It was unbelievable. From the mngr telling me I dont know what Im talking about to the clerk trying (and failing) to bag the toys. I walked out in the middle of the transaction because the service was so terrible. I couldnt stand to live with myself furthering this brand if that is the way they treat customers. They should fire everybody.
