Love this Salon! There is a new Grooming Manager since my last visit, in June, and some of the other faces have changed. Angela checked me in and was really friendly. She took a long time to explain to me what I was getting and how much everything would cost. Jessica was my Groomer and my dog came out great and smelled like cupcakes, yum! When I told Jessica I wanted my pups face a little shorter she gladly took care of it right away. She informed me of Petcos new guerentee that if you are unhappy with your groom they will fix it for free! Thats good to know, but I dont know who would need it cause my dog came out awesome and two weeks later she still has a faint smell of cupcakes. I will definitly be back!

I dont usually have too many problems as I go in, get what I need, and leave. Every time I have needed an associate I have to chase them down. Horrible customer service. I usually over look this but today I went in and showed genuine interest in an animal. The lady came, took one out and took it elsewhere. Didnt even say a word to me when I tried to get her attention. I literally had to chase her around the store to even ask a question about said animal. She answered my question then promptly dismissed me as a possible customer and walked away to ask someone else if they needed assistance. They lost that sale and any future money they would have made from me!

Took my long haired mini dachshunds in for a bath. They are strict inside dogs. Pampered. Dont get very dirty. Groomer had no idea what he was doing. Shaved their asses. They look ridiculous like baboons. Guess he thought he was being funny. Gave some bs story about their nails when theyd just been trimmed and one dog cant have her nails cut there they are to be grinded. My sweet Maggie who loves everyone peed all over when she saw me and scratched me till the point I was bleeding trying to get away from this guy. They will never go back there. My babies get laughed at when others see them.

Today was our second time purchasing a Syrian hamster from this store. (The first time was about three years ago.) Both times we were impressed with the staffs knowledge of not only hamster care in general, but also of the individual hamsters in the store (ie. age/ temperament). We like that the staff takes the time to handle them during the time between acquiring and selling them. As a result, both hamsters we have purchased from this store, have been very docile and friendly! Also love the 30 day policy in which they will treat your hamster if it acquires wet tail following purchase.

Customer Beware. Poor communication! If you schedule with a specific groomer your request may not be honored. Understandable situations occur and adjustments are necessary. But when a customer schedules an appointment in advance for a specific groomer then common curtesy should prevail. The salon owes the customer a phone call to reschedule or accept alternate options. Especially when the customer calls to confirm appointment. Im not an over zealous pet owner but I am business minded and my request and time have value.

The employees were friendly for the most part but really didnt seem to be knowledgeable what so ever on current sales or merchandise. I stopped in for the dollar per gallon fish tank sale and I had to put tanks I selected back 3 times because I kept being directed to or told the wrong areas or sizes that werent actually included in the sale. The only redeeming factor is the sale price. I dont understand how these mega stores are all still so over priced when it is so easy to order online now for so much cheaper.

Psychotic Killer

The lady i had to talk to was a pain, didnt care to look at her name tag but i bought a male double tail betta fish. Didnt notice the label said halfmoon until she rung it up. I told her many times it was a double tail and i have one exactly like it and that you could look at all the other ones in the store and compare. She denied it and i spoke to the manager bc i wasnt paying $17 for a fish that was labeled wrong. I got him for the origial price but man ill never forget her attitude and face.

I find it very interesting that the negative review I gave to Petco 2 months ago never posted ... My puppy went there for a bath -- and three hours later (which was when I expected to pick her up) they called to say they didnt have time that day. When I picked her up, she was absolutely filthy -- had been stepping in other dogs feces. When I asked to speak to the manager, he couldnt care less. Check out PETAs review of Petco and tell me any animal lover would want to shop there ...

I love this Petco. First, I love any store that remembers your loyalty via phone number, Ive used discounts easily a handful of times. Second, and most importantly, they have the worlds most amazing dog trainer. Gillian turned my giant moose of a puppy into a civilized loving family dog. He always had a good heart, but was beyond stubborn and crazy! This woman is a miracle worker, and the scheduling and pricing are just as friendly!

Gillian is the best dog trainer I have used in Charlotte and we have had many dogs trained over the 25 years here. She trains with positive reinforcement...much like Barbara Woodhouse( "NO BAD DOGS"). She had my rescue dog Sammy ready for the Therapy Dogs International testing-which he passed without an additional TDI course and now I am having our newest rescue dog trained by Gillian.

I took my 11 yr old 60 lb dog to Petco in the Arboretum to be groomed. I was nervous because of it being a chain store. I have always used independent groomers. THEY DID A GREAT JOB! I will be going back. The stylist was very knowledgeable and seemed to really love animals. FYI: Bring cash to tip the stylist... because your not able to tip them otherwise.

I love this store (beats PetSmart hands down!). The staff is knowledgeable about ferrets & their needs (unlike most places) and theyre always friendly when I go there. They match prices for me and make recommendations if they dont have exactly what I need.

The workers here are so mean. The place closed in 20 minutes when I was there and the women named Gill was so mean and was rushing us out and wasnt letting us pet the perrets.

Though pricey, they will match their online sales as long as you can show them the sale on your phone! The online sales can be really good
