On July 31st, 2015 I took my 4 month old Leonberger puppy for a quick nail trim. I was very specific that he was not easy to clip nails. The groomers assured me he would be properly assisted. I left him there for 10 mins while I did some shopping for other pet needs and I went to pay for the nail clip. When my dog was ready to be picked up I asked "how he did, I was told "He didnt do good, HE WAS ALL OVER THEW PLACE IT TOOK TWO OF US TO HOLD HIM DOWN." I took my dog and left. Walking to the car he was slow and seemed tired and I placed him in the car, when I took him home, he had trouble climbing the stairs and was limping a bit. I thought his paws are just sore from the clipping. He slept for an hour when he woke up his limp was worst. I immediately called the Petsmart Groomers and asked what had happened. They stated " maybe when he came off the table or because he "was all over the place" and it took two of us to hold him down. Then quickly changed their tune and said. He was fine when he left he just doesnt like his nails clipped. I said I would bring him down to them to see his limp and have Banfield Vets check him out. When I arrived they all denied anything happened and kept saying oh hes just sore, or he just doesntt like his paws touched. The vets were substandard in the care and diagnosis of my dog. No xrays taken, just had him walk around and said well give him anti-inflammatories, its probably just a sore muscle. Final Diagnosis Sore muscle Right rear leg. A Second opinion at a reputable local Vet determined upon taking xrays and a real examination on him that a left front leg hairline fracture of 5th outer digit was the cause for the limp. That some possible struggle may have taken place for such a fracture to occur. THE COSTS ARE UP TO $500 AND HE MUST WEAR A CAST FOR 4 WEEKS. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE PETSMART BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA DISTRICT MANAGER WILL HEAR FROM ME REAL SOON AND SO WILL THE BANFIELD VET HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS AND DIRECTORS. SUBSTANDARD SERVICES AND VETERINARIANS IS ALL THEY ARE.

I took my husky there twice and had a horrible experience both times. He only needed a nail trimming and he was only two months old so hes still shy and we only have him for two weeks. They treated him horribly, didnt file his nails, complained that he nipped at them (aka it was his first nail trimming ever and hes still getting use to us). Then another time my boyfriend took him in an hour before they closed and they denied him service because the last hour is for cleaning up. If thats the case put a sign up stating that or change your hours of service. I will never go back to petsmart grooming. Worst service.

Staff knows nothing of fish, no suprise there as they are not paid to know anything, just sell. Managers work the cash registers and are nasty to customers, even if you do not complain and have said nothing. Place creeps me out, will never go back. Almost like staff wants to tell you off for no reason. Whats with the tood anyway?

They groom my Cocker Spaniel every other month and they always bring her back looking amazing! They always put bows in her hair too! All the groomers are very friendly and always help me when Im not sure what to get for her haircut. Ask for Suzanne! She is amazing!

Huge store that almost always has what I need and a variety of it to choose from. The staff is pretty helpful. Its always fun to stop by and check out the kitties up for adoption or walk by one of the dog training classes.

They did a horrible job I will never take my dog back there I told them exactly what to do and not to do and they did the total opposite I urge you not to take your pets to this place they need to hire some real groomers

Well stocked, friendly staff and a vet inside. I purchased two parakeets nearly 4 years ago. Still have them. They always have a nice selection of different colored birds and all the accessories you need.

Husband was in there for over 30 minutes trying to find a light hood for a 10 gallon tank and not one associate offered to help him or even acknowledge his presents. Wow.

Clean store. Great deals in the weekend circular. I like the fact in the fall they do adoption days in the parking lot. Staff is friendly and store is well stocked.

Could use a good cleaning. Fresh paint. Tired looking store. Used to have a poop station outside, never replaced it. The ceiling decorations are loaded with dust.

I watched a groomer rip through a poor Afghan hounds coat continually pulling. The dog was in obvious pain and she just kept going. Not good!

Big store with many brands of pet food and many other items. Sometimes it is hard to get help as I dont think they have enough employees.

Dont let them groom your dogs, left razor burns on their stomachs. Not Licensed groomers. No real training to be a groomer.
